@Taste-Try-Travel aww..would love to meet you guys. My husband is Spanish and he loved how you choses Spanish guitar music for your video of MSC Yacht Club. If you're considering returning onboard the Meraviligia next year 2024,please come April 7th ! We're on her, then ..Even if you're not in YC? We'll invite you to dinner there. 🥰 ....it would be ¡Maravillosa! (Or in Italian ,una Meraviligia!)
I was so excited about this video. I am so happy you got the double upgrade to the YC Balcony, but I was hoping to see what a YC Interior looked like. Guess I might have to book one and see. Love all of your details and information!
HI! I stumbled on your videos of the Meraviglia🚢 and LOVE your style(🎲Yahtzee!). Imagine my surprise when I realized I have the same cabin 16007! Thanks for all your little (&big) tips which will surely make my trip smoother and more relaxed. 🥂 Keep the good words coming! 🎬
Very nice summary of the room. I'll admit to being rather fixated on the roominess of notoriously small spaces, and also the height of the ceilings and the shower stall - but that's a different conversation. Anyway, your videos address so many of the questions I would have about MSC Yacht Club, and I'm very grateful. Looks like it was a fabulous time. Thank you so much!
We step up in just three days in Brooklyn, it's our second Cruise on Meraviglia (2018 Iceland). We're very excited because it's our first Cruise outside Europe and our first travel to the U.S. Thank you very much for the nice Vlogseries about your Cruise on Meraviglia, we appreciated it very much. Many Greetings from Germany 😉
Thank you!!!😊We have always wanted to do an Iceland cruise! It’d be interesting to hear if you see a little bit of difference between European cruising and US cruising. Although there are many European travelers on MSC, out of Brooklyn there will be lots and lots of Americans too. Have a wonderful holiday! 🥳😀🥳
Hey, we´re back in Germany from Meraviglia. Our Cruise unfortunately was not so good because of Problems with the Cabin (Smell and other things i won´t mention here). We managed that they did change the Cabin on Day 5 to us, but before that it was not the Expirience that we expected - to say it nice and friendly. This was our 12th Cruise on MSC within the YC, so we know pretty well, what we gonna get to expect. The Staff was mostly amazing - unfortunately our first Butler was not. The second one - Anthony with his Compagnion Rocky - was as great as we know it from YC. Our Waiter in the Restaurant John from the Phillipines was one of the best ones we ever had - including his junior Ring, a nice little woman from India, her real name was instabokable for us.... John is by the way the Husband of Patricia, that appeard in your Vlog "Beginners Guide to the YC". He left for Vacation with us heading to Phillipines, his wife is leaving after ending the actual cruise..... The YC-Director showed up NEVER in his Establissment, he came to us only by request to try to solve our serious Problems. It was his first turn on Meraviglia, he was from Britain, he was nice and polite, but at the end we´ve seen him once again and then never again. On European Cruises this won´t happen, YC-Director is all around every Day. The Dining times are shorter in the US than in Europe. In the US the Lunch is half an hour shorter, the Diningtime is shortend a full hour. They told us, the Americans are eating faster to get the Shows so there is no need for longer opening times. But thats not the truth, the restaurant was packed full every time on each single Evening. The Concept of anytime Dining was not fullfilled, on the second evening we had to wait almost an hour to be seated, we were told to wait in the Lounge until they escorted us to the restaurant. So we´d complained, because anytime dining is crucial for us. So on day 3 and all following we get the same table at any time we want it - that was great, but otherwise it is a perk that they use for advertising - so it was THEYRE promise that was broken. The Em-/Disembarkation was not organized well, it was chaotic, at disembarkation it was simply a mess. Thousands of thousands people yelling at each others, completly ovewhelmed stuff, rough ppls, loud, dirty..... this is way smoother in Europe, even in Italy, where Chaos is some kind of normal. After all we decided, that we wont cruise again from NYC, and we stay away from Meraviglia. That´s a pitty for us, because it was our first MSC Ship, but the expirience was outmost not like we expected. Now we´re looking forward on our christmas adventure hunting Aurora on Iceland - without Cruiseship ;) At the End: Keep on with your VLOGs we appreciate the Videos very much because of your sense of humor and we share the same reasons to Cruise - life is to short and precious to stay at home, making own expiriences and rememberances is the best thing you can do with your time. Many Greetings to you from Elke & Stephan from germany 🤗
Hey guys, I just want to tell you that we loved your Meraviglia series. From start to finish. We felt like we were on vacation with you two and having a blast! We sailed Meraviglia last October, a 10 night Bahamas Mexico itinerary in genpop. Nice but missing something. Your story is very well told through really excellent content with beautiful images, great music, and two adorable hosts. After watching a few chapters last week, (loved shot crawl) we decided to book a deluxe balcony on deck 15 aft. The next day we received the email to bid on a Yacht interior, or YC1 balcony suite. We bid, we took the balcony suite on deck 15 forward and we leave in 3 weeks. We have sailed often the past 40 years We sailed NCL Escape in a Haven suites and enjoyed it. Yacht Club looks even better. Can't wait. We appreciate the time and effort that went into the making this film and your recommendations and explanations of the Yacht club experience made me want to experience it for ourselves. Thanks
What a wonderful comment… thank you! We haven’t sailed Haven ourselves yet, but from friends who have, they say the same thing… Yacht Club seems to do it better. So we think you’re really going to love it!!! And the bid system just makes it even better, in our opinion… kind of like “luck” smiled upon you and rewarded you with an extra-special holiday! 😊 Well… have a grand time and say hello to that wonderful YC butler crew for us(Patricia, Irish, etc)… they are the sweetest and most attentive crew!!! 🥰😀🥰
@@Taste-Try-Travel Oh, I should add this is only our third cruise, all 3 MSC, and 2nd time in YC. After our first YC experience, I told my wife I will only sail in YC. 😂
Thank you!! This November will be a cruise experience you will not soon forget! The Yacht Club and the crew are just amazing with how they go out of their way to make it extra extra special!! 🤩😊🤩
Oh my, Mike, you guys would love MSC… and the Yacht Club in particular! They cater the cruise to make it however you would like it to be. Just an amazing experience! As always, thanks so much!!!! 😊🥰😊
I agree about the shower door and was wondering the same thing. I am booked next week for the first time on yacht club and the first time on a cruise in almost 20 years. Just very curious about tipping because they charged my card and said no tipping was aloud.
Yes, absolutely… tipping extra is not expected at all… so go with what your gut tells you… and above all, have a fabulous, carefree, luxuriously pampered time next week!!!! (you will🤩)
Hey there… nothing special or different about muster drill if you are booked YC. We watched the safety video in the room and then took the elevator down to the main theater where we were assigned along with what felt like all 5k other guests and got our card scanned. Then quickly got back to our sanctuary in the YC for sail away 😊
Thanks for this great review! We just got an email for bidding on an upgrade for our cruise on Seashore in February. Curious how much on the sliding scale you went to the right to win your upgrade??? 🤔💰💰
Ha! Well that explains the “Laurie was here” graffiti on the wall!!!! 🤪 Did you have Rodelyn as your room butler? She was the best room butler we’ve ever had!!! Thanks!!!!
Hi, new to the channel but have really appreciated all the advice. I am in the process of booking the yacht club duplex suite for my 60th birthday next year for me , the wife and our two kids. I sometimes wonder if I should book a ‘normal’ balcony cabin and then hopefully get the upgrade email to bid high on a duplex. Bit of a gamble but potential big savings!! Cruise is for early July next year.. any advice gratefully received…❤ well done both, keep up the great work.
First off, thank you… and welcome!!! That is a tricky decision. Here’s probably our best advice… If you are willing to “settle” on a regular balcony, then it is absolutely worth the risk. You could bid kind of high, and if they have it available, you have a good chance of winning. BUT, there’s always the chance that they have few(or none) of the Yacht Club upgrades available… and that would mean your chances of winning would be small. So… that would be the choice… are you okay with the normal balcony if things don’t go as planned… if yes, do it. If no, better to spend the money and be happy and content with your choice and have a wonderful birthday holiday. Hope that helps a little! 😊😀😊
That stinks (literally!). Unfortunately, that’s becoming more and more common in the cruising world. Imagine smoking enough weed to overcome that strong ocean breeze…🤢 We’d rather spend that money on some great restaurants anyways! 😊🤪😊
@@Taste-Try-Travel Thanks for the feedback, others said they take them back, Also wanted to know if you could reuse them, if for example Im doing another cruise with the same ship in two weeks after disembarkation, instead of buying new bands is it possible to reuse them, Any Idea?☺☺☺
So MSC gives the bands for YC and Aurea. If you are Bella Or Fantastica, you can purchase a wrist band for convenience but I didn’t think you had to give it back. I could be wrong. I do know that they can not be used for another cruise
On the streaming wi-fi, is it to devices per room, or two per person? I'm booked in YC for this week (first time) and it's not clear from the website or the paperwork. And with no shower door, does it make for a wet bathroom? Seems like water would be everywhere.
The WiFi is two devices per sign-in. The shower is so large that no water escapes. (It’s about 7-8 feet long) Plus, the rain shower-head points down, so that kind of helps with not a lot of extra splashing. In a regular cruise bathroom, you’re right, it’d be everywhere! Tipping is so personal, it’s really up to the individual… if you’ve prepaid your gratuities then, technically, that’s all you need to do. Extra tipping is not expected at all. But, if you do want to tip extra, we saw folks tip a couple US dollars each time they got a service… we, however, like to tip at the end of the cruise. We make a note of who we want to tip extra and will give it to them at the end. Around $5-$7US per day for those extra tips from us. But again, that’s something each passenger/group should decide on their own… Hope that helps a little. 😊🤩😊
Yes to both! 🤩 There is a sectioned off area for YC guests. And if you’d like a butler escort to the theatre, just let the concierge know and they’ll arrange it. Or, if you’re out in the ship before the show, just walk up to the side of the regular line at the theatre, show them your wristband, you’ll be let right in… great perk! 😊
Laundry is not included in Yacht Club… we thought it would be. 🤔 The YC head chef told us that as long as they have the ingredients and are able to make it, they would try to make any dish someone ordered. What a treat! But if you talking “Chinese food from your favorite takeout joint”, well you could… but the delivery fees might be rather exorbitant… 🤪🤑🤪
Seems like there's no reason to spend $6,000 to get a Yacht Club balcony cabin when you can just book a cheap room for $1,000 and then upgrade for $800.
If you are willing to take the chance that you might not get the upgrade, then it’s absolutely worth it!!! Best value at sea (by a huge margin) as far as we are concerned! 🤩😊🤩

Does the YC interior get the exact same perks as the balcony that you were in ?
Absolutely! No difference in amenities!
Do you remember the options for the liquor bottle you can get for your room?
Sorry, I can’t find my copy other than what we show on the video.
Is there a charge to restock the mini bar?

Yes to both! 🤩 There is a sectioned off area for YC guests. And if you’d like a butler escort to the theatre, just let the concierge know and they’ll arrange it.
