This is the most thorough and enjoyable Yacht Club video of all! I was on the Meraviglia in January 2023 in a regular stateroom, and I plan to return next year with a booking in the Yacht Club. Thanks for including the lovely YC staff as well!
Thank you!!! Yacht Club is a must-try experience… you will be amazed by the differences and (if you’re like us) wonder if you’ll be able to go back to “regular” cruising! 🤪😊🤪
I'm British and my husband is Spanish and we live in Málaga Spain. We were on the Meraviligia May 7th in Fantastica experience. We've done 24 cruises and this was our first MSC. We had such a fantastic time that we reserved for the Yacht Club experience next year , again on the Meraviligia for 11 nights. We can't wait ! Thanks for making this fun & informative video. You guys have such great energy and I'm now even more excited to go YC in 2024 ! Ps. Loved your Spanish music on the video
That’s so wonderful! Thank you!!!! We have a very similar story… 1st MSC cruise on Seashore in 2022, loved it, booked Meraviglia in 2023, loved it even more!! We are positive you will have an incredible holiday in the Yacht Club… it’s such a uniquely satisfying way to experience MSC! 😀🤩😀
Brava! Bravo! Very useful info. Gorgeous photography. Editing is spectacular. The food shots had me diving for my iPad to look up upcoming MSC cruises until I realized that I was missing more of the video. You really set the scene on the Yacht Club experience in a way that makes it understandable and irresistible. I get a great sense of location on the ship and in each space, so I feel like I know exactly where to find these venues when I get there. I can tell that the MSC Meraviglia and the Yacht Club experience are what I want. Your videos are such a valuable service. Many thanks!
That is wonderful to hear… so many questions because we just had no idea what the Yacht Club experience was like before we boarded, so we wanted to answer those with an episode. And we found out Yacht Club is something most cruisers should try! Thanks!!! 😊🥰😊
Oh boy can't wait, booked first cruise ever on msc with a yacht club grand suite, and it will be the first time meeting my boyfriend face to face....so excited!!
My favorite, using the Yacht club band at the forward elevator. You take priority control and go right up to the YC deck, express, no stops. It will surprise anybody on the elevator. Been on Meraviglia twice. Doing a 2 week back to back on Seascape for New Years.
@@Taste-Try-Travel Hold the band next to the sensor and hit the up bottom. Once inside, hit the inside sensor and then select the floor. Had a guy in the elevator when we called it, he ran out saying it was possessed and was never taking that elevator again. Learned that on the 2nd Meraviglia trip. Looking forward to two stops at Ocean Bay on our back to back in December. Yacht club is awesome 👍
We got back from our cruise last week. I called my cousin, who set our trip up for us, and told her this was all her fault. She asked "oh no, what happened?" I told her we were ruined and couldn't ever go on a cruise any other way again. What a fantastic experience! From Anna Lisa our butler to Raj our concierge and John and Neil in the restaurant we couldn't have asked for a better vacation.
💯Exactly! It felt like a “you’re here to have a holiday, and the crew will definitely make that happen” yesteryear-type thing. Not like a floating hotel… which so many cruises feel like now. We always hope to find those “unique” experiences at sea… this might top the list, so far.
Thank you for these videos! My husband and I have been looking for in depth videos on the yacht club experience and are thrilled to get to watch this series! Keep ‘em coming! 😊
That’s wonderful to hear… thanks!!!😊 We have a few more from this series and then on to another adventure… and, hopefully soon, we’ll be back with another Yacht Club experience very soon (cause we really, really miss it already🤪)!!!!

Hey guys, you forgot to mention about the mini bar, which is included and get refilled every day, the nuts, Toblerone etc is included once, also, the wristband is good for paying, open doors, and to order drinks all over the ship, you don’t need the cruise card on the ship, except your going off the ship, meanwhile the cruise card can stay in the room light slot …..btw, we love to watch your videos…….keep,up,the great work….
Yes we didn’t use the mini bar very much ourselves until the last day 😢 The reason we mentioned bringing your key card to bars around the ship is that most bartenders asked for that. The reader for the band was wired to the registers so we had to walk to it if using the band. The bar crew who had mobile terminals were able to scan our bands but it was inconvenient for bartenders. That was our experience anyway. Thank for watching and feedback 😊
Thank you! 😊😀😊 Just a couple places where you need the key card… casino and spa… you don’t need it for the bar, it’s just more convenient if you do have it.

Have to wait and see what happens now. 3 weeks to go but at least we are INSIDE the YC anyway, so no need to panic. I will even try at the check in with the concierge just after boarding. Wish me luck.... take care you lovely guys, Bettina
We’d never heard of Yacht Club. Interesting concept! We will definitely look at how it would affect prices if we book with them - drinks packages etc! Cheers 🍻
Yacht Club is quite expensive (and probably worth every penny if you’ve got the money)… but if you get it with a bid upgrade, it becomes an amazing value!!!!
Spa Pro tip for Yacht Club guests: grab a royal blue Yacht Club pool towel to take with you down to the spa. Just drape it over your shoulder and walk right past the people waiting like you own the spa!
Terrific video! I’ll watch the rest of the YC videos soon but I’ve a question or two for y’all: Are drinks included? They’re pushing the drink package but with us being YC on our upcoming trip with MSC it seems like a waste of $$ to purchase the drink package. Also, we did a Royal Caribbean cruise last month and the Muster Drill process was very easy, all online, mostly a video in our room. We then met up with a crew member who gave us a quick quiz which we passed. We loved the experience. Does MSC have something similar to Royal Caribbean’s Muster Drill? Thanks again for the video! We’re taking a voyage on The MSC Europa next week and are looking forward to experiencing all of the fun that y’all have documented in your videos!!
Thank you so much… all right, we’ve got some answers for you… Drinks are included… it’s the Premium Extra Package. So pretty much any drink you can think of… covers everything up to $16. (Although, as we found out on our other MSC Seashore cruise, make friends with your bartenders and it’ll include everything!🤪) The muster drill is similar. You watch a video in the room, then call a number on your phone to confirm you watched it, and head to your muster station where they scan your room card. Done… one of the easier processes out there. We are so excited for you… we hoping our next MSC cruise to be Europa or America, so you’ll have to let us know what you thought! 😊🤩😊
Thank you for doing this series I’m new to MSC and I’m thinking about taking a cruise with them for my birthday in 2024 you helped it feel less awkward wanting the yacht club experience
Ha! Thank you for the wonderful comment! We had those awkward apprehensions also… but rest assured, it’s not at all. It’s more about extreme service and the staff wanting to make your cruise extra extra special, than it is about formality. If you do choose an MSC cruise, you’ll have to let us know what you thought of it. We’ve done 2 cruises with them and it’s quickly becoming our favorite! 😊😃😊
Great video! Did you make your reservation directly with MSC? I’ve heard booking Yacht Club through MSC can be difficult. Hard to find TA’s who sell MSC
What a great presentation. We have been sailing in The Retreat with Celebrity recently, but changes are opening our eyes to other possibilities. We love The Retreat, but also everything else about sailing on a Celebrity ship. Can anyone that's experienced both please compare?
We haven’t sailed in The Retreat, but can only imagine how wonderful that is…🤩🤯🤩. Celebrity does such a great job that it must be spectacular in The Retreat area. Hopefully someone is able to compare the two for you (and, who knows, we may be able to compare them in the future🤞)
Thank you! Yacht Club does not include any of the pay restaurants outside of the Yacht Club areas. We talked to the Yacht Club head chef and he indicated that they would be happy to make guests any special requests provided they have the ingredients and are given enough time. Having said that, we have no idea if that would include sushi… but we sure would be interested to know if anybody has ever requested sushi! 🤪😊🤪
It really is up to you… MSC says extra tipping is not allowed in Yacht Club, but the crew will accept them for sure. We tipped those who really went above and beyond for us… $5-$7 extra per day is what we decided to do. Again though, it’s all up to you. Nothing at all is expected.
Could you speak about the benefits of the yacht club based on destination - the Bahamas versus from Buda? I know for the Bahamas they have a private island and YC gets food service there. But what about in Bermuda? if you leave the ship to go to the beach, then you’re on your own for lunch and all, correct? Do they have a special bus to the beach?
The only Yacht Club privileges are on Ocean Cay… if you’re on a public beach in the Bahamas or Bermuda, unfortunately there are no amenities provided by the Yacht Club. 😊
Hello! I’m going on my first vacation with my toddler and my husband can’t make it this trip. I’m a little nervous so I thought yacht club would be a little less stressful, what are your thoughts ?
Hi Mercedes… we think YC would be a great way to vacation with your little one. I think the crew will take wonderful care of you and you will always find room by the pool or in the lounge so you won’t have too many worries. I don’t know much about kids clubs or ages for that but concierge can certainly help. Just let the dining room staff about any special food requests on the first day. Another great thing about YC is you avoid all lines (embarkation and shows) and that makes it easier for your child. Have an amazing time!!!!!
Thank you! The Yacht Club elevator does not go to 12 or 13. However, just outside the YC doors are another set of elevators that do cover those two decks… a short walk… maybe 50-75 feet.
What did you find the dress code in YC was in reality? I read the online guide but that is not always accurate. Can you wear jeans in the YC restaurant?
The YC dress code is very relaxed… jeans are fine in the restaurant. People really dressed how they wanted each night. In the evening, they asked that you don’t wear shorts or t-shirts, but we saw folks in both of those at dinner a couple times. YC is, in all reality, a place for you to be pampered and have a vacation the way YOU want! An awesome experience!
This wasn't what I was expecting. Nice video, but from someone who had no idea what this is (a beginner), this didn't answer any of my questions. First, what is it? Is it the equivalent of "rock star" on Virgin? Is it something you pay for to get access? Or is it part of the room package? So is it only available as part of an expensive suite? How much does it cost? What does it compare to on other lines?
Thanks😊… but if you’ve never heard of the Yacht Club, that might be a different video… this is for folks who are beginning their Yacht Club experience and have questions about what it will include, maybe not for folks who are unaware that Yacht Club is an option. (That would’ve been a loooong title🤪)
@@Taste-Try-Travel I was keying on the word "beginner", but beginner as you say can also be people who know a bit about MSC but looking for more about what Yacht Club is like. I wouldn't want to be a second class passenger on a boat where 1/3 of it is dedicated to the rich customers. Thank you again for your video.
😂😂 absolutely you can explore the entire ship and then retreat to your retreat! We spend quite a bit of time with the peasants enjoying the ship but eat mostly in YC at the restaurant and buffet.
@@Taste-Try-Travel thank you. Having seen reviews for the dining on MSC and how busy it gets then it would be a Godsend to have a quieter place to eat and relax but I would like to see other parts of the ship.
There’s no games or contests by the Yacht Club pool. The YC pool is about half the size of the regular one… it just wouldn’t work up there. (And, we believe they want a more “relaxing” atmosphere on the YC pool deck). So you’d have to head down to the other pools to get that party-like vibe. 🥳
Hi thx for videos. I am confused do you get drink package free with beginners level, What are the pre paid services? , can u have your gratuities removed and pay the service team as you like? It seems like too many things are free. Whats under the small writing?? These questions are for the Beginners Yacht club. You can also direct me to more videos that are helpful, Thx Rebecca
Hi there. You do get quite a bit of what seems like “free” things in YC but that’s because you pay more than even suites would be. We cover what is included but you can also read exactly on MSC website www.msccruisesusa.com/cruise/msc-yacht-club Gratuity is $20 per person per day, it can be pre paid with your travel agent prior or it will be added to your shipboard account as Hotel Fee. MSC says that is all you need to tip and if you do nothing more it is ok. If you feel like tipping cash at the end for those crew that were wonderful you can. We never recommend removing tips. If you watch the rest of the Meraviglia series, you will see us experiencing everything they offer. We also have a podcast called MSC Cruise Cast that will go over all topics of MSC and Yacht Club.
Hi! Is the Internet access for 2 devices the premium or standard one (one allows you to video call and stream I think). I'm a solo cruiser on this trip, will I stand out in YC dining alone, or were there some others solo travellers?
It is the upgraded internet package. But with that said, we could not stream anything… very slow connection. That’s not a problem for us, since we kinda assume it’ll be that way on all cruises, but if you need fast internet, it’ll be a problem. As far as solo dining, we saw a few solo diners in the Yacht Club and they definitely did not stand out. And there was lots of folks talking to tables around them, too. Great atmosphere in the Yacht Club… You’re all good there! 😀 Hope that helps and thanks!!!!!!😊
Nice video. Informative. But you say there is a limit of 220 guests on the pool deck. Is that the number of people in the Yacht Club...or can you be shut out of the pool deck if you arrive late and there are already 220 people there??
Sorry if that’s confusing… there’s about a maximum of 220 people in the Yacht Club. You will NEVER be turned away on the pool deck… even if all 220 people should happen to show up on the pool deck at the same time, you’ll still find room… there’s a lot of space out there! 😀 To give you an idea, we cruised at around 200 people in Yacht Club and, as you could see, there’s so much room everywhere! Hope that helps. Thanks!!!!!
@@Taste-Try-Travel Terrific! Thanks for that clarification. I was thinking of taking a cruise with them in Feb...and you may have just tipped the scales for me to go for it! Great prices for Feb. for the Yacht Club...and the Yacht Club is the only way I would cruise on a ship with 5,000 people!! Could never handle that embarkation line with that many people.
@@eld4726 Ha! Yep… that line can be quite … challenging…🤪 We now consider the Yacht Club as the best cruise experience we’ve had (and we’ve done over 60 cruises). For the value, it’s really hard to beat. Even if you pick something by else for your February trip, make a point to try Yacht Club at some time. Guarantee you’ll have a wonderful cruise.
@@eld4726 we had an 11am flight out of LGA so had a wonderful breakfast in the dining room (opened at 6am) and grabbed our luggage (we did a self walk off) met in the lounge and in less than 5 minutes a butler escorted a group of us off. So in essence we bypassed the line to disembark. Grabbed an Uber and at airport in 36 minutes. If you choose to put your luggage outside room, they told us that YC luggage gets off ship first so whatever time you get off it will be ready for you.
And my wife and I always ask our butler to have a pot of American coffee delivered to our cabin in the morning so we can have our first cup on the deck over looking the sea. Just ask them on your first day and it will be done.

@@fredfolson5355 We have to get on that ship! We are trying to figure out some future cruises now, and that is, literally, at the top of our “wish” list. 🤩
Extra tips (beyond prepaid gratuities) is not expected at all. In fact, MSC says tips will not be taken… but, in reality, they will… definitely not expected though. MSC is trying to make it a seamless experience where you show up for the cruise and just have a grand time, not worrying about anything… baggage, boarding, food, drinks, tips… and we think that’s awesome! We always tip extra at the end of the cruise (make notes along the way). But we did see people tipping a couple dollars each times they got a drink/something special done for them. Cheers! 😊

So we booked it with our agent and then did the upgrade program to get YC. But you can also book YC directly on MSC site.
Really great video. Lots of very useful information.
Thank you! We try to keep it fun while throwing a little info your way too!!!😊🧐😊
Great video!
Very nice and friendly
Excellent video. Does the Yacht club include my specialty dining? Specifically Sushi?
Do you have any tip recommendations as to who all to tip in the yacht club and how much per day?
Cute. He has the best beard ever!
Thank you… but we all pale in comparison to the man with the most epic whiskers ever: Mr. Dan Haggerty! 🤪🧔♀️🤪
I loved that video! I am curious the Yacht club elevator does not service decks 12 and 13?
Amazing video! Subbed 😊
Thanks!… and welcome!😊🤩😊
Love the Yacht club, in regards to the size of the beds, is it a queen or king
The beds are king size… and pretty darn nice! 😀
If you book into Yacht Club are you allowed to go outside to other parts of the ship with the peasants or do you have to stay in Yacht Club?
😂😂 absolutely you can explore the entire ship and then retreat to your retreat! We spend quite a bit of time with the peasants enjoying the ship but eat mostly in YC at the restaurant and buffet.
@@Taste-Try-Travel thank you. Having seen reviews for the dining on MSC and how busy it gets then it would be a Godsend to have a quieter place to eat and relax but I would like to see other parts of the ship.
I'll be in the Yacht Club Cabin in this September. This video is very very helpful to me than any other, Thx !!!!
Wonderful… we are glad to help anyway we can to make it easier for you to make the most of your time on the ship. Have an amazing time!!!
Do they host fun things poolside like they would at the main pool?
We cover what is included but you can also read exactly on MSC website
www.msccruisesusa.com/cruise/msc-yacht-club
Gratuity is $20 per person per day, it can be pre paid with your travel agent prior or it will be added to your shipboard account as Hotel Fee.
Hope that helps and thanks!!!!!!😊
@@Taste-Try-Travel Thank you!
But what about OPULENCE????
Can you have guests in your room who are not in the yatch club?
Guests can visit, but not stay in the rooms since the rooms are inside the actual Yacht Club.
To give you an idea, we cruised at around 200 people in Yacht Club and, as you could see, there’s so much room everywhere!
Yep… that line can be quite … challenging…🤪
We now consider the Yacht Club as the best cruise experience we’ve had (and we’ve done over 60 cruises). For the value, it’s really hard to beat. Even if you pick something by else for your February trip, make a point to try Yacht Club at some time.
Guarantee you’ll have a wonderful cruise.
@@Taste-Try-Travel What was disembarkation like? Did you go ahead of the masses?
What a great idea… and now we plan on using that idea next time!!! Thanks! 🤩😝🤩
@@Taste-Try-Travelmy pleasure. My wife and I have been cruising in the MSC Yacht Club since 2015. We found them after our kids out grew Disney Cruises and never left! Book your Yacht Club voyage aboard the MSC World America for summer 2025! We just cruised World Europa in Barcelona last month, and that ship has cranked the Yacht Club up a notch!
@@fredfolson5355 We have to get on that ship! We are trying to figure out some future cruises now, and that is, literally, at the top of our “wish” list. 🤩
@@Taste-Try-Travel we’re on the July 4th cruise departing Miami on June 28, 2025. I’d love to meet you guys.
what are the tips like for Yacht club
Extra tips (beyond prepaid gratuities) is not expected at all. In fact, MSC says tips will not be taken… but, in reality, they will… definitely not expected though.
MSC is trying to make it a seamless experience where you show up for the cruise and just have a grand time, not worrying about anything… baggage, boarding, food, drinks, tips… and we think that’s awesome!
We always tip extra at the end of the cruise (make notes along the way). But we did see people tipping a couple dollars each times they got a drink/something special done for them.
Cheers! 😊
what are the daily tips for a room in Yacht club for rooms. like the average for other rooms are $14.50 a day per person . is that daily tip far more for that level or?@@Taste-Try-Travel
How to dial the forward slash😂
😜🧐😜
Internet is two devises per person.
