She for whatever reason,some believe she may have been young and this was her first pregnancy.. Others believe like myself Calvin had medical issues from birth and that is why she rejected him.. Some people don't understand that these monkeys begin learning at 2 days of age ...He refused to walk, he refused to suck on fruit any lesson Cassi tried to teach was forgotten the minute it was taught.. There was a young monkey that would hang around Cassi once Calvin showed up her name was Chiko.. Turned out Chiko was Calvin's Aunt.. Which means Calvin's Mother was her Sister.. After Calvin was with Cassi for about a week Chiko kidnapped Cassi's daughter.. Cassi being upset by that began to allow Chiko to take Calvin.. They went to visit the rest of the family Calvin's Mom, his Grandma ECT.. And Guess What Not One Of Them Had Any Interest In Calvin.. In Fact Cassi was Shunned for having him. The Troop wanted nothing to do with him.. And Calvin didn't make things better by being so weird if another infant touched him for any reason he would have a fit.. Well, we need to cut little Calvin a break here. He ended up in a situation not of his own making and is trying to do what any infant Mac is going to do and that’s survive by nursing. It’s rare that a female Mac that’s already nursing one infant is going to take on the hassle of nursing another one. Mom would really need to increase her food intake to handle that. She’s going to want to provide ALL of her milk to her own baby. She might have 2 teats but those are meant for just one kid

Honestly the fact she didn't kill him immediately or with the week is amazing. She did feed him some and she'd keep him safe from other monkeys. Well sometimes lol. For those who do not understand, Calvin belongs to Christy who left him. The vo's gave him to Casi when she was pregnant. After Casi gave birth, she decided to starve out Calvin. It's sad to some, but completely normal for a higher rank to kill a baby lower ranked. Christy even tried a few times to get him, but failed. Life is not always beautiful, especially with nature.
I've seen every single Calvin video pretty much the day they were uploaded. Christy NEVER tried to get Calvin back, even though she had multiple chances where no adult monkey was near him and she was standing right next to him. She walked on by like he didn't exist.

Right around 11:40 when Casi is pushing him into the tree there is a wood stub sticking out and she pushed Calvin into it and he screams! You can see his agony when it happen!

Celine and Calvin were cousins, Casi and Christi were sisters! That is why Casi originally took possession of Calvin after Christi gave birth and couldn’t take care of her baby! Casi only wanted to care for him until Christi’s health and strength returned! Well that didn’t happen and Casi started to get frustrated having to care for two newborns, her own baby girl and her nephew Calvin! She should have never of picked Calvin up, because after a while Christie’s maternal instinct might of returned!

They didn't put him in her arms. They placed him in a tree for his mother to get. Mom grimaced 😬 and ran away. A minute or 2 later Casi picked him up. He belonged in nature. Not as a pet. These are wild animals.

From what I've learned, the monkey really only produces enough milk to support one monkey at a time. It doesn't take long for a little one to get dehydrated and weak, so if they had to constantly wait on their breast to fill up, they could end up too weak to hold themselves up enough to drink. That's why it's so rare for monkeys to have twins, because the stronger one usually ends up pushing the other out so it has enough milk to survive with. It built into their instincts.

People have always been mean towards Calvin from day one I think it’s horrible. He was a helpless, innocent baby. He didn’t no better he was an infant. I don’t know how he lives as long as he did because she did not treat him well. Trust me no matter what people say. He barely ate as you can see.

@@lauriebuxton1 He barely ate because those were not his teats to eat from, they belonged to Celine, Calvin was rejected by his own mother and by looking at this video, you obviously can tell he wasn't a normal baby monkey, that's why his bio mom Cristi rejected him, waste of milk when there's Celine with no health issues, Calvin lived for two weeks, had the VO's left him in the pile of leaves on the ground, he would have died of starvation and not go through what he went through

For those who do not understand, Calvin belongs to Christy who left him. The vo's gave him to Casi when she was pregnant. After Casi gave birth, she decided to starve out Calvin. It's sad to some, but completely normal for a higher rank to kill a baby lower ranked. Christy even tried a few times to get him, but failed. Life is not always beautiful, especially with nature.
I've seen every single Calvin video pretty much the day they were uploaded. Christy NEVER tried to get Calvin back, even though she had multiple chances where no adult monkey was near him and she was standing right next to him. She walked on by like he didn't exist.
You're comment is somewhat true, except for Casey had Caline the day before she got Calvin, her baby is one day older, and Christy his mother NEVER tried to retrieve him, she was filmed wide awake setting in a tree above Calvin as he laid in a pile of leaves down below her, struggling, and calling for her, she sat and watched, also she had numerous times to retrieve him when Casey abandoned calvin daily by himself starting on the 21st to the 28th, the only monkey to grab him was Chico who by the way was Kristy's yonger sister so she could have gotten him from her also, Calvin was Abandoned at birth.
casi already had Celine about 12 hours before Calvin came into the picture.

Right around 11:40 when Casi is pushing him into the tree there is a wood stub sticking out and she pushed Calvin into it and he screams! You can see his agony when it happen!

Celine and Calvin were cousins, Casi and Christi were sisters! That is why Casi originally took possession of Calvin after Christi gave birth and couldn’t take care of her baby! Casi only wanted to care for him until Christi’s health and strength returned! Well that didn’t happen and Casi started to get frustrated having to care for two newborns, her own baby girl and her nephew Calvin! She should have never of picked Calvin up, because after a while Christie’s maternal instinct might of returned!

They didn't put him in her arms. They placed him in a tree for his mother to get. Mom grimaced 😬 and ran away. A minute or 2 later Casi picked him up. He belonged in nature. Not as a pet. These are wild animals.

Ive never understood why it was 'rocket science'. You have 2 monkeys, you have 2 teats. One for each baby. At least try rather than abandone your nb.
From what I've learned, the monkey really only produces enough milk to support one monkey at a time. It doesn't take long for a little one to get dehydrated and weak, so if they had to constantly wait on their breast to fill up, they could end up too weak to hold themselves up enough to drink. That's why it's so rare for monkeys to have twins, because the stronger one usually ends up pushing the other out so it has enough milk to survive with. It built into their instincts.
This monkey had a single birth and that was to the female. The Male was abandoned by his biological mother and this one picked him up.
This is happened when monkey have twins but mother only excepted one baby.
