Can confirm, there is a kid in my son's troop that is almost exactly like this. Every campout is 3 flashlights and 5 knives, he's a funny kid to be around.
I can reiterate that this group of people are top shelf. Not only did we not have to worry about anything being taken, the entire property was kept very clean. We didn't see any trash anywhere except in trash cans where it belongs.
I think it's great that you venture out to different venues where their take on edc is not say exactly your own, but yet there are some overlapping similarities. It gives us all a chance to review our own carries, how they compare, and then possibly make adjustments because of the exposure to all the different ideas. I hope you keep on doing videos like this and thanks for sharing.
Killer video and you couldn't be more right...very accepting group of folks! You are welcome anytime and ARE part of our community bc you CHOOSE to be! See you soon!
One detail that many people seem to be unaware of is, a vehicle’s ignition switch will live a much longer and healthier life if it has zero or very little weight hanging from it. For years I’ve been extreme about it with a hidden quick draw spot in the truck for the ignition key alone. Matching key on ring is for other locks. Of course this subject is only for those with antique vehicles requiring keys. 😊 About handcuff key…..secure a small one on the inner side of belt between back pockets. 🤫
Great video, I love seeing what everyone else was carrying. This was our first Georgia Bushcraft event and exceeded our expectations. Everyone was thrilled to have you there Taylor and there is nothing more fantastic than showing up at an event and everyone making you feel like you have always been a part of the family. It is just such a great group of people that make you smile. And thank you so much for asking me to do a pocket dump. I'm feeling pretty badazz right now.
I really enjoy these EDC pocket check videos. Filming was probably the easy part, as you spent a lot of time listing all the individual EDC items and with links!
8:56 Wow, honored to be put on the pocket dump spot! Funny, you caught me off guard, I didn't event think of considering my Cache Belt with a 27" pocket fulllll of gear!
Yo, that lanyard for your TPG Pocket Possibles Pouch was sweeeeet!!! I had to come back here to this video, since I saw it in the flashback b-roll at the beginning of the Demo Days pocket check video.
So fun looking at everyone's goodies. Reminds me of when my Nana and I would go to shriners, libraries, thrift shops, etc., and look at all the fun doodads and nick nacks.
Dude, absolutely true about leaving things out amongst that crowd. I'm notorious for leaving my gear adrift when camping and have camped with a lot of these folks. None of it has ever walked. Great video! Thanks for spotlighting a tight family.
You summed up our group of people perfectly in the ending, bro! It's always like a family reunion when we all get together...And even watching this video back, it's like "oh hey, there's my friends!", lol. So glad you're a part of this group, my friend. It's been great getting to share some campfires & field-time with you! Can't wait to do it again soon.
The trick of opening another tool, I can't believe people didn't know about that. I figured it out when I was like 12 because one of my multi tools was literally impossible to close unless you opened another tool to release lock pressure.
Taylor: "A video showing off a ton of experienced outdoorsmens EDCs. My audience will absolutely love this!" Best Damn EDC audience after seeing a kid with a ton of knives: *cheers* "BOYSCOUT! BOYSCOUT! BOYSCOUT!"
I like details, taking note of cool stuff and some actionable information(i.e. links so i can buy stuff). Taylor's effort to put everything down in the description complete with the time stamps is truly and greatly appreciated. 👍👍 Description that is "Taylor-fit"(pun intended) for the likes of me. Thanks, man!
bro being into all this and being from where i am it's so cool to find out this community exists, because it's so lame here... this video is so so cool and everyone is so kind to each other and loves cool unique things
I always carry a knive and Hank and stuff but that young lad was ready for Armageddon! Well done for having the patients for carry all that gear. Big love from the UK
Thank you so much for including that bit about closing tools on the Powerpint. I bought one a while back and having to open the pliers just to close a tool has been one of the few things I dislike about the tool
Thanks SMKW, y'all have been sending me knives for the last year! Always super fast delivery too, I guess living in NC helps, y'all are close. My latest purchase was a Spyderco rock jumper! 🤙🏼 Also a Spyderco smallfly 2 a few months ago!
It felt like that kid was trying to hard. He had a cool fixed blade collection but no need to carry it all and the molle vest felt like too much to me. i hope he keeps up the enthusiasm and energy though.
Great video Taylor, thank you for showing us what goes on at Georgia bush craft. I’ve been watching your channel and smkw and I’ve heard TC talk about it for a while so it was cool to see what goes on there.
I had a ti carabiner clip from olight and it was a honestly one of the best things I carried i unfortunately lost it snowboarding along with my keys last week and can’t find anything that compares
14:32 that metal sheath for the victorinox is not RC it's actually RG, which stands for RAE Gear, they make the best quick draw metal multi-tool sheaths
The tops MTP is the first and probably only Tops knife I've ever bought, because as a traditional knife guy they miss the mark a bit when it comes to being slicey like I'm used to. I really like my MTP though, they don't seem to be all that popular but I really like mine and it was my sheath knife of choice this week.
Lol awesome video brother!!!!and are you talking about the uco flat pack stove??? Lol cuz if ya are....I got one about a year ago and absolutely love it from everything to cooking to having small contained camp fires!!!!! Its a little heavy for actually packing it hiking.... but for car camping or at base camp!!! Its FREAKING AWESOME
Awesome video, Taylor! I unfortunately didn't get to make it for my first time to Georgia Bushcraft Gathering. I hear nothing but good things. Thanks for sharing! Keep up the good work, brother; 👊🔥
The crank hank pouch david had was exactly what i been looking for. I need a pouch like that for my custom victorinox minichamp, leatherman squirt ps4, and soon a rovyvon flashlight bur the whole damn site is sold out ugh😢😢😢
In reference to the precision tech driver that Rick has, I though it was a different color of my Kershaw one... Didn't know they had them at Harbor Freight! My Kershaw one was like 10 bucks.
Would a passionate Frenchman who would come to this kind of event be welcome here he would be frowned upon? I love my country, and I feel very grateful for what the USA did during WW2.
That kid, was THE quintessential Boy Scout. Plethora amount of knives, inhaler, pouches for days. All he needed was braces. Perfection.

Fucking hell, how many knives does a kid need..?? Not to mention the plate carrier itself, which looks ridiculous.

But for what?
@@saschafischer5654 great question.
@@saschafischer5654 everything

Lol to join the military or zombie apocalypse

I can reiterate that this group of people are top shelf. Not only did we not have to worry about anything being taken, the entire property was kept very clean. We didn't see any trash anywhere except in trash cans where it belongs.

3:47 wow, that's a very cool and thoughtful looking design of a sharpening system, looking forward to seeing it take our world by storm
As soon as I saw that sharpening system I started googling in another tab 😁 no hits yet...wonder if it's still a prototype
You should check the dmt simple sharp. It has a housing around the whetstones, but it's pretty much exactly that.
