- Today is a typical work day of a mobile mechanic and what you can expect, including the people you’ll encounter on the side of the road ( this guy talked for hours) lol!
That guy is insane,
Lol the fact that I’m fast forwarding your video, and he still talking 😂
Pro tip: When cleaning an air filter with compressed air, you should blow it from the inside out as to not push particles to the inside to be sucked into the engine. Not my job I know but just saying...
You have way more patience 🙏 than I do. I would have told him to leave. If there not paying. people are not allowed around my shop
Yeah the guy had some pretty sad stories so I just let him talk but it was getting a little anoying,
I work better when im alone definitely
Good work! Liked and subscribed
👍
Thanks
@luid3221 !
Cool video man
Thanks Bigfoot Dude!
😂😂
Some people won't stop talking. I hate going back behind someone work. Nice filter. I try date and mileage on them also. Did you check wheel bearings ond Toyota? I always blow filters from inside to the outside. Good video. I tried hard on my newest one
the Lady said she just did bearings , ball joints and alignment , Its only shaking when she accelerates and the cv boot was gone ,so I think its the cv axle that s bad.
Yeah making videos can be a little bit difficult at first , but you need an editing software Chris , It will make all the difference , doing the editing on your phone is really hard.
@@happybleeding if boot gone needs new one and that's not if cv axle hasn't went bad yet
I have dont those exterra power steering pumps. The first time is a pain but now i do them in about an hour. The 03 has variable power steering and it sucks. The design was garbage so they ended up getting rid of it after a couple years.
This extra has seen better days , they are kind of cool because its a 4x4 but its been neglected pretty bad
What’s the name of that strap tool you took the oil filter off and that you turned with a ratchet?
its an oil filter wrench /a strap wrench ,I found mine at Napa
Definitely love the "non mechanical" parts of your vids. At least he wasn't a Bigfoot, Aliens, flat Earth, or Government conspiracy guy. He would be there for hours.
Is the auto jobs a hassle or easy?
Lol! hey tw t,
Yeah this guy was all over the place , I pretty much got his life story,
he wasn't a bad guy but some times its hard to focus on what im doing with someone talking to me , but im getting good at tuning things out, th automotive side is definitely not my favorite , I like fabrication way more .
You omitted the solution to the stripped bolt or did the 12 mm bolt fit into the stripped opening. I enjoy your videos. You are a great trouble shooter.
Yeah the threads on the pump were stripped ,
Thanks for watching
@chucktaylor4958 !
Yeah, I didn't catch what he did. Typical solution is to either use a helicoil, which is easy if you have a kit, or replace the pump. If you have to buy a specific helicoil kit, the price may be close to that of a new pump anyway. I think he replaced the pump. Helicoil prices have falllen now that the patent expired so if you have a generic kit the price is a lot lower. You could also drill it out to a larger size and tap the threads out to a larger size, but aluminum isn't a great base for a bolt requiring tension. Helicoils are stronger and withstand torquing better.
He put another power steering pump on it.
What did your truck setup cost
Im not sure but this is probably the 3rd truck ive built for mobile repair , its probably around 20k with the welder and truck and crane + tools
