I have recently returned from Bali, It was a short trip and I stayed in Apurva Kempinski but my heart and eyes kept wondering about Mulia, why did Biden and Xi chose to stay here instead and what is behind that long, endless stretch of Mulia's wall on my way to Apurva, that lovely rose instalment that I had a glimpse from outside and the beautiful huge white flower carving at the entrance. Mulia is definitely #1 on my list in my next Bali trip. I have seen someone who stayed in Mulia Villa and thought it was quite inconveniently far from the facilities and sea and too wasted that he/she did not have time to enjoy the Villa's private pool and such as he only sleep there and spent all his time outside the Villa. I think your room is great, for such a beautiful hotel, u will not have time in your room, I was so exhausted running up and down for photos and enjoying the facilities at Apurva until I missed the Nusa Dua fireworks coz I was in the bathtub, rewarding myself after all the hard work "enjoying" everything outside the room that Apurva has to offer. 😂

This is soooo nice!!😊 I was actually looking and comparing properties (as part of flight and hotel packages), and for Nov departing from London for 11nights in the Mulia Grandeur room type with breakfast, came up at £2775 for one person 👍🏾. I looked previously at Grand Mercure in Patong, Phuket Thailand and the cost was the same as their Deluxe Pool access room!!! However, the opulence you get here versus Grand Mercure, literally no competition 😂. Really nice☺️

I think the biggest let down of this hotel is the room. The bed size is too small even for one adult and also it feels empty when you compare it with Kempinski Nusa Dua which feels cosy and family oriented. The breakfast offerings are close to those of Kempinski but not there yet as Kempinski also has Korean bibimbap and Cantonese Roast Duck etc. However the marks earned back by Mulia is its Table 8 Chinese restaurant which I can say is at least on par with a few 5 star hotels in China (just that authentic for dishes like Yazhou fried rice etc). Overall thanks for the review of this hotel and I will probably only go to this place for Sunday brunch at Soleil and fancy authentic Chinese dinner at Table 8 while staying somewhere nearby to save the hefty room rates as the room is very dated and ordinary to be fair.

Hi Linda 😊 Well you are not wrong. Initially I had the same sentiment. I mean for regular tourists, at first glance, the property does look in-your-face luxurious. I guess in the end, that’s all that matters for them. That’s why this property is very popular, and add to that, Mulia is a household brand in Indonesia
