In our opinion, there hasn't been that much improvement in the steel string acoustic guitar design since C.F. Martin & Co. got it really right in 1929/1930 with their Orchestra Model. Here is a recreation of a OM-28 with 1930 specs, i.e. Brazilian rosewood back and sides, herringbone top purfling, 'short pattern' fingerboard MOP inlays, belly bridge, bar frets and banjo tuners.
You know Andy is very biased on OM's for his personal taste, but quite frankly any sane, dedicated acoustic guitar player will agree there's very little a good OM guitar can't do, if anything at all. For what we are concerned, we like to play anything on a good OM, with or without a pick.
    Hope you enjoy...

Eccellente! The perfect balance and tone. I like it better than my 58 D-28. Grazie. 🎧

What a remarkable sounding guitar!! Well done, and well played. How would you compare the sound to a D-28?

A OM and a D only share the same scale length. For the rest, they are two completely different instruments
