Ok so before I start let me just give you a quick fact about BTS so that you can understand better. So BTS means Bulletproof Boy Scout, the romanji is Bang Tan Sonyeondan Sonyeondan which is written 방탄소년단. Their group name is called so because they produce music that'll defend the stereotypes etc. which are the bullets that are aiming for teens and youths so their songs will be a bulletproof that'll stop the bullets and protect the teens and youths from those stereotypes. For example, their song called N.O is about blaming the cramming education way of teaching the teens and youths rather than helping them to develop their individuality but back to the topic.. So Blood, sweat and tears is basically about how people can be fallen into deep sin etc. To make the basic point: Suga- The pure evil who corrupted V and tempted Jimin V- Corrupted Jin and tempted JHope Jimin- Was tempted by Suga and eventually became corrupted RM- Tempted Jung Kook and made him become corrupted Jung Kook- Got tempted became corrupted JHope- Was tempted by V Jin- The pure good In this MV you can actually see that the main colours that are used(the most colours seen) are black, blue, yellow, green,white and red. In the MV, black and blue means pure evil and corruption, the yellow and green means temptation and hallucination, the red and white is the pure good. In the beginning you can see that Jin is staring at a drawing. The drawing is about angels defeating and chasing the fallen angels away to the underground. So in the beginning Suga hit Jimin on the head and a bit later Suga covers Jimin's eyes which means he is busy tempting him by showing him hallucination etc. The room in the beginning where all the members were sitting is black and blue which means all of them are fallen. The veranda where V was sitting, there's a door and if you open that door it links to the room where Jimin and Suga is. Next, the room where Jung Kook was with the swing is the same room in the beginning where all the fallen members were. The floor in the room is the colour yellow which means temptation so at that moment Jung Kook was getting tempted by evil. If you compare the room in the beginning it was night that time which means when time went by the boys eventually fell into evil. If you look carefully Jung Kook is sucking a sweet, remember this well. The hands that were covering Jin's face are clean and the rings on their hands are not blue, this means Jin is still pure and good and doesn't know anything about temptation and evil...for now. Back to Jung Kook, you can see the sweet is in his left hand and you can see that the sweet is blue, this means that Jung Kook is starting to corrupt. His facial expressions and body gestures shows that he is very hazy and just lying there as of he had drugs. He is busy getting corrupted by evil. The next scene is Suga sitting in the room. As I said blue, black and green means evil, corruption and temptation and the room that Suga is sitting in is all black and blue with green smoke/fog and lights. Actually the room that Suga is sitting in is shown in another movie called Chatroom, it's basically about a teen boy with mental issues targets and bullies another boy who has depression. From this you can think of Jimin's teaser from the WINGS Album which shows Jimin biting into an apple(which is most probably the apple that Jimin was holding in the blood sweat and tears mv)in a room which looks like a mental hospital and if you combine with the scene where Jimin seemed painful as Suga placed the blindfold over his eyes, it's almost 100% correct that Suga bullied(I don't know the right word for it..English isn't my first language lmao) and corrupted Jimin. Next RM, he burnt a sugar cube which became a green liquor and as he burnt that, a card with a picture of a bird is also burnt. A bird resembles peace so this means that RM burnt his own peace and chose evil. This liquor is called absinthe which is a very strong liquor which actually make you see hallucination. This means that RM is fallen not evil . completely. He also lits a blue candle, this candle is shown again a bit later. Next is JHope. JHope WAS pure good as there is no blue around him but the background is black and there are 2 green plants. The top he's wearing is a mix between black and red so this means that he is in the process of becoming corrupted. We can assume it was V who tempted him as in the beginning V was looking at JHope with curious eyes. JHope aims an arrow at someone. The next scene is V covered with a blue vail, this is assumed that it was when V wasn't corrupted yet but he is covered with the blue vail unlike others who's just sitting in a room or sucking a sweet which means he is fallen into the temptation. Do you still remember the candle that RM burnt? Great, so RM drops a drop of candle wax and that drops on Jung Kook's finger but unlike the blue candle, the wax is green this shows that Jung Kook too is falling into corruption, evil and temptation. Jung Kook takes it to his mouth without hesitation and if you look carefully his tongue has spots of blue from the sweet he was eating earlier and the way he looks seems different than the beginning, he is completely corrupted and by this you can know that RM is the one who corrupted him. In the beginning you an actually see that RM and Jung Kook is talking together and RM is showing something to Jung Kook. This was planned from the beginning. The next scene is all the boys enjoying a feast in white clothing with red surroundings, this shows when they will all still pure good. As Jin stands up for a cheer, between the red background, a streak of yellow appears then Jin seems as if he feels something weird and turns around and sees the background getting stained with yellow and black. Meanwhile the arrow that JHope pointed flies to V, it is assumed that he did so because he hated and blamed V for falling into temptation and fall into evil(you can see that V is covered with an lie vail)and the splatter is blue, green, red and black but there is much more black than red this shows that JHope is also starting to fall into temptation and evil. This shows why his clothing was a mix of red and black. And as JHope shoots the arrow, the colours mix, blue+red+yellow=black which means they'll eventually fall into temptation and fall into evil. The next scene is Jung Kook and RM, JK is eating the same sweet that appeared in the beginning and RM is just lying there relaxed, there is green steam in the room, this show that both are both are now completely into evil. The screen then moves to the upper floor where Jimin and Suga. Jimin is holding an apple that I mentioned and Suga is holding a blindfold. Suga puts the blindfold and covers Jimin's sight. This means Suga is putting Jimin into temptation and showing him hallucinations to make him become corrupted. Then the door in the middle opens and V looks at them interestingly and jumps off. He seems happy because everyone if becoming like him. The next scene is JK swinging on the swing again but there is something white on the floor. I'll explain this later. Jin appears again where with a balloon where they had their feast where everything is red(a place where only good exists) but that place is starting to become black and red, this shows that Jin is also starting to corrupt. RM is already fully corrupted as you can see, the ring on RM's finger is blue and the there is white smoke/steam coming out from his mouth. Most ppl will think he is smoking but you can't see any cigarette. I'll explain this later too. S puts a black blindfold on JonM and he is left alone you can see JM is trying to break free from the blindfold, the room is blue green and yellow this shows JM eventually became corrupted. The hands that were covering J's face is withdrawing one by one, the hands is assumed as the goodness that was protecting J from evil but as J becomes more and more corrupted, the hands start to withdraw. Eventually all the hands withdraw and J meets evil. The next scene is J lets go of the balloon, the background is red but J himself is black this shows he is fallen, as he lets go of the balloon he stretch out his arm as if he still wants to keep the balloon, this shows he isn't fallen completely and at this part the music stops and the narration says, "He too was a tempter;he too was a link to the second, evil world with which I no longer wanted to have anything to do" This is a part in a novel called Demian where the main character Emil Sinclair is tempted by evil and talks about Demian who did so. The next scene is S playing the organ. This scene made it sure that S is the pure evil because he was wearing blue and black in a place where everything is black and in the olden days, organs were thought as instruments that calls devils and demons. The song that he was playing is called Passacaglia which appears on the novel Demian.
As the organ keeps on playing you can see the boys runs out of the art museum. S pulls JM out and JM just follows him without resisting him. This shows JM is completely fallen. Everyone leaves and V stops and looks back because J stopped and looked back as if something is still bothering him, this shows that he is still not fallen completely. V covers J's eyes just like S did to JM, V shows J hallucinations and tempts him. J sees a statue with black wings. Together with the organ the Vail is lifted. J keeps on walking towards the statue, he's getting tempted. As he goes closer to the statue you should notice that on the wall, instead of the painting that J was staring in the beginning, there's a mirror. Eventually couldn't resist V's hallucinations and temptation and kisses the statue. Then the next scene is V and you can see that he has scars on his back which means that V is the fallen angel and as he looks back he gives a mysterious smirk he has a complete different expression from how it was when he was covered with the vail. He has blue eyes and the background is black. He's now complete evil. The MV is at the climax and JHope shows sitting helplessly as if he gave up and red water splashes like a fountain but there's something weird. If he's fallen completely, why is there red? Just like RM's smoke I'll be explaining this later. After the kiss, the statue cracks and gets covered with black green blue etc. This shows J's current state or his future self. J then looks to the side. The next scene is JM taking off the blindfold and as if to show that he is now completely corrupted, a green liquid flows down from his eye. J goes closer to the mirror and on top of the mirror stands a writing saying "Man muss noch Chaos in sich haben, um ei nen tanzenden Stern gebären zu können" which means something like "To carry a dancing star you have to keep a chaos in the inside of yourself." You can think as to become a brilliant star yourself you have to go through trouble and do bad things to go to the top..if this writing was written on top of the place where the painting of the angels chasing away the fallen angels, this shows that this all the hallucinations that V is showing to J. Oh I forgot to mention it but the statue behind JH represented the good of the boys but as the statue broke, it meant that all 7 boys lost good and became corrupted. As J looks into the mirror the background is black and the lily's reflection is not a lily but a celosia argentea. Lilys mean innocence, cleanliness etc. and celosia argentea means forever love, passion, eternal life etc. They say lillies give out co2 so if you fall asleep in a room filled of lillies you most probably die. Basing on the facts you can think of a point that actually Lily=Celosia Argentea is Innocence=Forever love(eternal life) can mean that all 7 corrupted boys still at least have a small bit of good left inside them. Remember JK? While he was on the swing there were white steamlike objects on the ground, making it as if he was floating on clouds but anyways, the white represents the good and innocence that's still left inside him. RM had white smoke/steam/fog coming out of his mouth, that is the good that was left inside him. JH had red fountains splashing up(the water use to be blue black) and the green water is actually outside. J, when S covered his eyes in the beginning, he hold S's wrist and tried to to pull it down, showing as if he was still trying to resist. V, the scars on his back where the wings use to be shows that he too, use to be good. This shows that even if you are corrupted so bad, there is still a bit of good left inside you and you always have the chance of coming back from the sins. At the last scene Jin's face cracks this shows that his old self, the good is breaking apart and he is becoming corrupted. As I said earlier, BTS tries to give teens and youths messages to help them not to fall into a bad path. Now a days, many teens and youths fall into a bad path like smoking, bullying, stealing etc. I think they're trying to tell them that even if you fall deep, become corrupted, there is still a bit of good, a bit of hope and you always have the chance to come back from those heavy sins and start again. I believe BTS said that this song is connected to Hermann Hesse’s Demian. BTS has stated many times that their Wings concept is based on youth/boys falling into temptation and losing their innocence. Everyone leaves and V stops and looks back because J stopped and looked back as if something is still bothering him, this shows that he is still not fallen completely.
V covers J's eyes just like S did to JM, V shows J hallucinations and tempts him. J sees a statue with black wings.
Together with the organ the Vail is lifted. J keeps on walking towards the statue, he's getting tempted.
As he goes closer to the statue you should notice that on the wall, instead of the painting that J was staring in the beginning, there's a mirror.
Eventually couldn't resist V's hallucinations and temptation and kisses the statue. Then the next scene is V and you can see that he has scars on his back which means that V is the fallen angel and as he looks back he gives a mysterious smirk he has a complete different expression from how it was when he was covered with the vail. He has blue eyes and the background is black. He's now complete evil.
The MV is at the climax and JHope shows sitting helplessly as if he gave up and red water splashes like a fountain but there's something weird. If he's fallen completely, why is there red? Just like RM's smoke I'll be explaining this later.
After the kiss, the statue cracks and gets covered with black green blue etc. This shows J's current state or his future self. J then looks to the side.
The next scene is JM taking off the blindfold and as if to show that he is now completely corrupted, a green liquid flows down from his eye.
J goes closer to the mirror and on top of the mirror stands a writing saying "Man muss noch Chaos in sich haben, um ei nen tanzenden Stern gebären zu können" which means something like "To carry a dancing star you have to keep a chaos in the inside of yourself."
You can think as to become a brilliant star yourself you have to go through trouble and do bad things to go to the top..if this writing was written on top of the place where the painting of the angels chasing away the fallen angels, this shows that this all the hallucinations that V is showing to J.
Oh I forgot to mention it but the statue behind JH represented the good of the boys but as the statue broke, it meant that all 7 boys lost good and became corrupted.
As J looks into the mirror the background is black and the lily's reflection is not a lily but a celosia argentea. Lilys mean innocence, cleanliness etc. and celosia argentea means forever love, passion, eternal life etc. They say lillies give out co2 so if you fall asleep in a room filled of lillies you most probably die.
Basing on the facts you can think of a point that actually Lily=Celosia Argentea is Innocence=Forever love(eternal life) can mean that all 7 corrupted boys still at least have a small bit of good left inside them.
Remember JK? While he was on the swing there were white steamlike objects on the ground, making it as if he was floating on clouds but anyways, the white represents the good and innocence that's still left inside him.
RM had white smoke/steam/fog coming out of his mouth, that is the good that was left inside him.
JH had red fountains splashing up(the water use to be blue black) and the green water is actually outside.
J, when S covered his eyes in the beginning, he hold S's wrist and tried to to pull it down, showing as if he was still trying to resist.
V, the scars on his back where the wings use to be shows that he too, use to be good.
This shows that even if you are corrupted so bad, there is still a bit of good left inside you and you always have the chance of coming back from the sins.
At the last scene Jin's face cracks this shows that his old self, the good is breaking apart and he is becoming corrupted.
As I said earlier, BTS tries to give teens and youths messages to help them not to fall into a bad path. Now a days, many teens and youths fall into a bad path like smoking, bullying, stealing etc. I think they're trying to tell them that even if you fall deep, become corrupted, there is still a bit of good, a bit of hope and you always have the chance to come back from those heavy sins and start again.
