Hello Sarah! (Sara?) Thank you. I especially like that it'll help prevent the curling. I keep wondering if I'm stitching too tightly, and that's causing the curl? 🤔😒 Could I perhaps "fix" the curling, by something like making every 4th or 6th row double? Thanks again! Stay safe, wherever you are🥺
Hi! Not all Tunisian stitches cause the curling up of the work. This one is great, another one is the Tunisian Purl Stitch (see my tutorial on this one). Some people even start their projects in one of those stitches before working in the given pattern, so as to "stabilize" their works. Personally, I always tend to go up one hook size when I work Tunisian, so for example if the yarn label calls for a size 4 mm hook, I will usually use a size 5mm, and so on. It also depends how stretchy the yarn is that you're using. Finally, blocking at the end usually fixes all curling problems. :)
@@HookloopsarahCrochet Thanks! I've been taking a break from crafts, to go on a cleaning spree (ummm.... yay? 😉) I look forward to getting back though. I'll look up what "blocking" is later, but I'm thinking it's like a finishing trim going around the perimeter of a craft? Thanks again. I'm organizing too, and my craft storage is a major project. Wish me luck😁 Stay safe!!💖
@@KOKO-uu7yd Blocking is a technique done at the end of a knitted or crocheted work, consisting of pinning the work on a soft board, spraying it with water and letting it dry. This procedure flattens the work completely, usually. 😊
Sarah! Happy to have found your channel! I have a question. How would I do a chevron pattern with this stitch? Any advice? I'm trying but it's looking a bit off. Is the increase the same as with a TSS? Thank you in advance!
Thank you so much! I also tried combining a row of TSS with TDC I really like how the fabric looks and feels. So I tried it in a chevron but I feel I may be doing something wrong. I love that you're looking into this! Thank you!
Thank you for this stichs, no curling..👏👍♥️
