tbf, a ceasefire is only a ceasefire if it ends. Otherwise it would be peace.
Besides, all ceasefires are broken on small scales before they expire, the difference is that in the middle east they seem very good at using these expected minor violations as an excuse for a full scale resumption of hostilities.

I don’t know who gave Simon that information, but the majority of the Lebanese Army are Muslims with both Sunni and Shia soldiers of all ranks. Only the leadership is split 50/50 between Christians and Muslims and only the commander of the Army is a Maronite Christian by tradition. The issue is not that the Lebanese Army lacks the funding or manpower, the issue is what a confrontation with Hizbollah will entail: a civil war. No Lebanese is willing to start a new one and everyone is looking to disarm the Hizb peacefully through a national agreement. But Israel’s constant breaching of the ceasefire agreement (54 breaches until today) constitutes a big threat to peace. Nobody’s optimistic that the ceasefire will reach the 60 day mark...

The IDF doesn’t trust UNAFIL, perhaps justly so. On several occasions while an IDF unit was actively engaged in combat UNAFIL troops showed up. They truly have no business there and were ordered away by the IDF. On one occasion, the IDF filmed another encounter when UNAFIL troops showed up. During the questioning, an IDF Captain asked the UNAFIL commander if they had seen any HAMAS fighters to which the UNAFIL replied “Of course not”. While laughing. When asked how it was that he was there he replied that his superiors had ordered him in to see what was going on. He was ordered out and told to have his superiors speak with General command and read the briefs. After he had left the Captain said he remembered “that guy” as being one of those who had wondered into an op area where they were searching for a specific fighter. They had him pinned down to a location but he slipped out somewhere while he was dealing with UNAFIL.
Circumstantial to say the least but suspicious when it keeps happening.
Edit: it doesn’t matter if there was any funny business going on. Only that it is believed that there was. That damages trust just as badly as evidence.

I am very baffled by this channel.
On one hand you have videos like this one, which provides a fairly accurate and balanced recap of what has happened, superior in many ways to what I see in the English speaking mainstream media. With only minor factual errors that just arise from westerners trying to analyse cultures they don't understand.
For example, the ceasefire didn't come as a surprised while the fighting intensified, the fighting intensified BECAUSE the ceasefire was coming. It's a middle eastern thing. In the last moments of a conflict, before an upcoming agreement, the two sides try to achieve as many hits on the other side as possible, the more theatrical and massive the better. It's a way of showing that you didn't enter the ceasefire 'because you had to'. No one in the middle east ever admits defeat. EVER.
When the war in Gaza is finally over, I guarantee you, they'll celebrate their 'glorious victory' from between the rubble.
So, now you know. You're welcome.
But then, on the other hand, you have videos that are bluntly one sided, pushing (antisemitic) conspiracy theories or just sounding like you have no idea what you're talking about, like in one video you were talking about 'Israel's constitution' when Israel DOES NOT HAVE a constitution.
So I don't know what's going on, who writes the bad scripts and who writes the good ones, but if the goal is to ACTUALLY be an alternative to mainstream media, and not another propaganda machine on UA-cam, keep doing the objective facts-based videos, and be weary of those other types.

It takes an army time to safely evacuate from a forward position (the agreement gave the IDF 60 days). In that time, the ceasefire agreement did and should prohibit others from approaching close to said retreating forces.
This is the same kind of deal that was agreed in Gaza after two months of fighting.

The Insitute for the Study of War (ISW) called the ceasefire in Lebanon that went into effect yesterday (Wednesday) a "defeat" for the Hezbollah, as it did not achieve its goals of forcing Israel to end its military campaign in Gaza or secure an agreement that Israel would no longer carry out military attacks in Lebanon in response to Hezbollah's attempts to rebuild and rearm.
"This ceasefire and its terms are tantamount to a Hezbollah defeat," the ISW wrote in a report on the ceasefire. "Hezbollah has abandoned several previously-held ceasefire negotiation positions, reflecting the degree to which IDF military operations have forced Hezbollah to abandon its war aims. Hezbollah initiated its attack campaign targeting Israel in October 2023 to support Hamas, and Hezbollah’s leaders have said repeatedly that it would not end its attacks without a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. This ceasefire does not include an end to Israeli operations in the Gaza Strip.
