Green yapper

@@locosama.Fauna in my left ear, Cecilia in my right ear.
The void of loneliness is twice as vast 😌
As a bookworm, I 100% support whatever CC is yapping about
The UA-cam channel called The Modern Rogue did a video on an experiment they did to see if they could produce an Amazon best seller. Basically, they had a terribly written smut book made, and they sold it on Amazon for a dollar. Then they asked all their patrons and UA-cam members to go buy the book and leave a positive review that's technically true. Specifically because it's smut, although the plot was terrible, the spicy stuff was just enticing so that members of the general public were enticed by all the good reviews and the cheap price, and before experiencing post-nut clarity, horny brain took over and left a good review of their own. In the end, the experiment netted a huge amount of money and an actual Amazon best seller. At least as far a smut is concerned, that's how the meta works.
Ah yes, telling your audience to buy your product, "as an experiment".
System: "Human misdeed database updated successfully."
Cecilia: *to self* "Trust towards humanity diminished further."
That's how Ultron was made
@@CBRN-115 Are you suggesting that Cecilia is just anime girl Ultron..?
Here's the thing. NYT doesn’t hide it. Look at the list and look for the little dagger symbol. That indicates that there were bulk purchases of that book.
Wait so every movie that comes out isn't "the best movie ever made"?
Wait, so peacocks don't hulk up to 10x their size and strength when showing off?
"The number 1 box office hit!" is shockingly dogshit
I always hold off for a bit (or a while) before introducing myself to a new gen of Hololive members, but this video convinced me to catch up, starting with Cecilia ❤
I highly recommend this gen, Hololive managed to find some serious talent for it.
And they are all absolutely unhinged.
Justice was an instant hit for me i was surprised, i'm not really into Advent i don't mind watching some of their clips but i don't watch any of their streams, but the whole of Justice is great.
Liz is the most experienced preHololiver ever. She has a decade of youtube experience.

I've loved every gen, but this one in particularly drew me in much quicker than normal.
she knows. dangerous knowledge.
To be a New york times best seller you only need to sell 5000 copies in a week, so the bar is pretty low.
a good book is that book you randomly pick it up and like what you read.
thou people dont read, let alone randomly picking up books to see if they like it or not.
At this point, i think we can all agree that ..
green women = yappers 😂
This is true. I think what they do is they create like a super niche category like "best-selling western romance with blah blah" that the book in question fits in. In which case, they then say this is a best seller in this category because it's the only thing in that category. This then benefits everyone with authors having the title of best-selling author and publications being able to use that best-selling label to get people to buy books.
That's kinda like; Made in X Country, where the produce is foreign, but it gets processed in X Country so they still get to use that label. False advertising.
The keyword to watch for there is "assembled". In the US, at least, it's a dead giveaway that too few of the components in whatever it is were produced domestically to qualify it for the "made in" label.
@@ZGryphon Yeah I wasn't using like the official corpo lingo or anything just the spirit of it.
The fact that i can think of 5 different book that have done this is really baffling to me
Yeah once you start noticing this stuff in the mainstream publishing industry there’s no going back.
Yeah it started out as real, then it became reputable, so publishers really wanted it for their authors, and started paying for it. Now you can scroll through books and they almost all have it. 0-3 reviews and a NYTBS
Sasori: welcome to my life Cici
I wanna know how also.. every movie is "the number #1 movie in the world"
I have this same opinion about modern pop music. As a whole. Nobody is trying to make good music, they're trying to think of catchy melodies and everything around it is cutting costs and trying to pay artists who can make the MOST not the best. Quantity far above quality.
And they pay critics and artists to talk about artists who specifically make a fuckton of music regardless of how good the music is. This is also why Taylor Swift can just release the same record several times because her fans only care that it has her on the track and is a song. They don't care at all about what the song is.
Modern music is a dance or highlight music. The middle of it is always some catchy beats so people can make a Tiktok video out of it.
The good news is the old stuff remains good
It is real but the publishing companies juice the numbers by buying up a bunch of copies.
I think I figured out the Kiara/Cecilia voice comparison. If you play Cecilia on 2x speed, she sounds a lot more like Kiara. Feels like, 70% there.
Wow, I totally hear it.
Eh, Cecilia has a stronger accent and deeper voice. While Kiara has struggles with some words but her pronounciation is a lot clearer, also higher pitched.
I believe its called bot review? Happen alot in online shops so they appear more often when a buyer trying to search something
my yapping queen
it's just like "product of the year"
it's not a grading... you pay for that sticker
to get NTY best seller you just have to sell a certain number of copies in a week
Gosh that how Marketing Work
wait until CC reads "Meow: A Novel by Sam Austen" if she still hasn't read it
I tend to stick to classics. Ive never really liked contemporary authors works. School forced me to read a bunch of books turned movies and the writings were always a spoonful of obviousness.
Between this and the talk about the downfall of modern video games i'm not sure they'll be giving Cece many sponsorships :P.
So.... what book was it?
Cecilia lmmergreen l think it is real
