Any tank whos gun breach pokes through the roof of the turret should not be able to reload untill the breach is back inside the turret.

You would think that but..
Modern tanks have this feature for real. After a shot the gun will automatically elevate so the loader can load another shell. The gun then gets back in its original horizontal position. Ready for the next shot.

the LKpz.70 seems to be Borgward's team's proposal for the standard panzer project (standardpanzer team C). infact I am 100% certain it is.
same turret shape, same hull shape, same 3 crew behind the turret with engine in front, same number of roadwheels, same controllable hydropneumatic suspension (siege mode).
the only thing they added/changed was the armanent and the fact its supposed to be a medium tank/MBT not a light tank. they added the machinegun/autocannon co-axe (the orginal proposal did not include detailed plans for secondary weapons, although it would have gotten one if actually built) and they changed the main gun (it was to use the same 90mm that was eventually used in the leopard 1 prototype, but with an autolaoder, while it has similar damage in tier 8 form (suggesting its still a 90mm) its not the same states as the 9cm on the leopard prototype nor is it using the ingame autoloader mechanics and the old tier 10 version was even further off.
17 degrees of gun depression really opens up some very non standard positions that could be fun.
If will come with maxim 13⁰ gun elevation it will be fair..😁

With the premium day, it’s best to get it midday or similar so you can use it over two days, so you get two lots of premium missions
Next tank, 500mm turret armor, -20° gun depression, 75 km/h top speed and an autoloader with 4 shoot 490 dmg
just 490 hah what a weak tonk i would put a 1750 dmg gun with 1 sec aimtime to balance the things out :)

Why not add T11, T12 and T13. Move or add to them some of these over the top hypothetical tanks. Or spread out the arms race?
considering a lot of the tanks that are tested (Obj.168 as a T-72-proto-prototype), ready-for-release (Nemesis, AAT-60, Obj.-906) or in the files (Chieftain Mk.6, WZ-1226F3), partially in game (WZ-1224, OF-40/Lion) in combination with 3d-styles that turn some tanks into vastly upgraded ones ("Reiter" for the Leo1 turns it into a 1A5, "Old Man" turns the Type59 into a Type69-II, "Winter-Lotus" for the STB-1 into a Type-74G) I feel like some people ate WG would like to venture into at least Gen-2 MBTs but are restricted by someone at the top (and probably to not make any competition to Project CW)
Edit: and no, I do not accept the "no smoothbores or ATGMs" argument considering that we do have several tanks in game right now that should either have smoothbores or are straight up conceptualised as ATGM-carriers IRL. I mean the Obj.780 has the gun of the T-64/72/80/90, the Sherridan was designed to be an ATGM-carrier.

I've been keeping an eye on the Lkpz 70K as it's moved from supertest server to common tests and one of the things people were talking about when it was still tier 10 was how WG was going to monetize it. LTs aren't the most popular tank class so putting it in an assembly shop would be a recipe for low sales. Likewise if it became a CW reward or Maneuvers bond shop exclusive it likely wouldn't draw enough people to justify the dev time. The only option seemed to be as an auction tank like the BZ-72-1.
It seems WG have figured out the monetization issue by just making it a tier 8 premium. I'm a bit disappointed given there are only 7 tier 10 LTs in the game at present, but WG wants to monetize this tank somehow. At least all those LT fans will get czech autocannon LTs later this year!
The IKV 72 in real life had -20 degrees gun depression and does in War Thunder - if you good a picture search you'll see it being used.
I would love me a light tank with good gundepression. That is because with a light tank I try to find some sneaky postions where most tanks would not come because they would be useless there.
I think that when you select a tank which you can get from drops they should not be for total days. They should be for total Battles. I would rather have based on my play style 30 battles in a tank that lasts forever other than 10 days in a tank. I feel that it forces me to play that tank maybe when I don't want to play it or I am working on something else. They did this a few years back and I still have those free battles in some of the tanks I chose.
New Polish TDs are excluded from the discount. ☹
I love how the Asia server doesn't get the discounts to vehicles, consumables, equipment, garage slots or customisations but we DO get to win a skin that looks like clown vomit

Crazy gun dep + auto bounce + probably hulldown armor + high speed... Yeah, looks like WG really struggles with adding more tanks that arent blatantly op...

it doesn't have autobounce nor hulldown armor + it got booted down to t8 with a fraction of the "armor" that it had
How is that gun supposed to work? There is no space gun to recoil and if the gun can't recoil, the recoil forces will break it. One way or another big guns move.
Thanks Dez. That series of missions for a pair of socks camo is a bit underwhelming, but at least f2p players can easily kit out any tanks with free camo these days, without too much effort.
Dez, what are your thoughts on the new rendition of Tour of Duty ? My Clan has been hit hard. We are relaxed and don't participate in many events. We let our folks play solo or platoon if they like and every tier. Myself I do not play the beginner tiers. But this new system has hurt us as far as getting boosters/ reserves! I think this will drive players away from the game. They should revert back to the old system. Your thoughts ?
You don't even mention if this new LT will be a b-day gift, reward for completing missions, or just available for purchase.
The light tank is going to make things worse if it is going to be in tier 8. Because that will make other tier 8 German tanks useless and it just turns off quite a bit of players if it was going through with the tank being tier 8.
What is with Wargaming's obsession with tier 8 premiums? Theirs got to be hundreds of them at this point. Their needs to be more tier 9 premium's, it's especially egregious when it's a tier 8 that's arguably op, and could easily be bumped up to tier 9. Are they just allergic to the idea of making premiums anything other than tier 8?
the only real niche of the tank at t8* is the gun depression - the other stats are areas other tanks have big advantages in, so the tank should not be at all problematic
*not sure if this comment is referring to the supertest changing it to t8 and adjusting mobility/dpm/alpha accordingly
i wanted a tier x scout reward tank and WG took the idea away. this is not fair. stop scout player abuse WG

I find it hypocritical that WG nerfed all the Light tanks' Speed and from being DPS harassers, especially the ones with low-caliber guns from tier 5 to 10. When they reworked and added new light tanks. Only to slowly go back on that concept with premium light tanks.

considering it seems to be based off a rival design to the leopard 1 prototype it could easily be a tier 9 medium tank without wargaming fudging stats (which they are perfectly happy to do)

Consumables sell for 50% of their price, so you won't magically double them this way.

I don't know what they're thinking with dropping the LKpz 70 down to tier 8. If anything, it should replace the Panzerwagen as the Tier 10 techt ree light.
i would've preferred it to stay t10 as it probably would've been more fun, but i don't think it should replace the rhm pzw. the pzw is a pretty good t10 light after the buffs, and the t10 version of the LKpz would have been a worse tank than the current rhm pzw, given that it has a much worse gun and significant VR difference.
still would've liked to have both at t10 at the same time though
I expect to see the LT in the new lootboxes, we are at a rhythm of what, 1 loot box event every 2 months? So guess we will see it than, as there is no way WG is gonna make it available in a marathon

I have use Gold for Tanks for many years now. Not much nowadays.

Instead of releasing premium tier 8 Poland TD, they release a premium tank that will compete with M41 90 and HWK 30 🤦
Maybe it has the same broken gun as Kunze panzer so you cannot use your full depression otherwise your shots will disappear into the ridgelines :P

I just dont get excited for any new T8 prem anymore, the new tank should've been T10, too many T8 premiums, in an ideal world WG would stop making T8 prems altogether and start implementing older premiums into tech trees, seeing as many of those tanks should have been tech tree vehicles to begin with.
Edit: obvious examples, A.P AMX 30 and AMX M4 49, 50TP prot. just to name a few

For context 1 million credits gets you 100 discounted foods, so 100 games. These discounts are every 3-4 months? Which then is with 5 games a day, 450 to 600 games.
So instead of spending 12 million, spend 6 million now and get yourself a new T10.
Well, why make it a t10 only certain people can use, when you can give it a p2w gun and monetise it at t8. 260 pen is like better then some heavies. It has some armour for lucky bounces and it may be the bane of wheeled vehicles. Are there even tanks which can compare to such vehicles at the same tier? Heavies not anymore with skoda t56 and BZ and an even longer list. Mediums there are probably some, tank destroyers may be somewhat balanced except for vipera, but light tanks?
Iam just a light or arty player i dont give a crap of the other classes so its very interesting for me to something new in the light class i hope wg puts sime arty in the game to mybe just ap shooting ones
