You guys understand some people get married within a year right? My grandparents have been together for over 50 years now and they got married within a year of knowing each other. My older sister and her husband have been married for over a decade now they have a 10 year old 13 year old and another baby on the way and they got engaged within six months of knowing each other their first year of knowing each other they decided to move in a year and a half of being in a relationship they were married. Not everyone has to move at that type of timeline. Also not everyone goes through the honeymoon phase. I always found that such a weird thing to say some people are just really, really fucking realistic about what they want. I’m not going to be dating someone if I’m not going to be getting married I don’t wanna waste my time. We’re not going to small phase. We’re talking about genuine ideas and issues that we may end up having or that can come up we’re talking about what a marriage looks like to the both of us we’re talking about kids career choices jobs we’re talking adult. Then we’re also seeing if we’re freaking compatible and if we are compatible and things lineup, why wait what is the point of doing that, especially if we’re not married it’s committing to someone letting them know that you serious about a relationship.

People expect a lot more and the world has become a lot more conscientious of how toxic dating was from 1900-1970s. Women were legit expected to just cook, clean, and bear children. I’m glad your grandparents had a quick and happy marriage but it’s not at all like that now. Telling someone to be cautious and not take a relationship too far so soon is a very good piece of advice. I’ve been in countless long term relationships that have gotten to this phase of wanting to be together forever but once we realized how different we were even after being together for months to a year, to nearly 3 years. It just was done.

I don't doubt their feelings of intense love are real, they're in the honeymoon stage after all! But these videos are obviously not spontaneously filmed... Maybe they are 'recreating' the actual moment? Because for this very romantic, personal moment, how many different camera angles were used? Like, they literally would have had to move their phone 3 or 4 times throughout the 'proposal', and who was filming when they opened the door to the apartment? The cat? Roommate? (Also thought it was kind of silly how they waved at each other while she was sitting on the couch and he was walking in to 'propose'; ya know, after they had set up the phone to film from its 3rd new angle lol😅)
I'm not hating, I think it's wonderful when two good looking young people fall in love; and the intoxicating feeling of new love is a drug that I've experienced more than once and that shit is INTENSE! Who was it that said those profound feelings of falling in love (and they can last 3 years in my experience!) are similar to a type of psychosis? 😂 Anyway, I'm happy for them, I am just not a fan of the fake, contrived videos that creators try to present as genuine and sincere. Either put in the effort and have security cameras recording you 24/7 to catch all the moments that may happen throughout your life and share those real candid moments, or tell the story of how it happened (hell, even do a little dramatization to play while you tell the story so people get a visual, but don't pretend like we're watching the actual moment!)
