"tasteful and appropriate" is EXACTLY how I would describe this song and her choice of vocal delivery/production. We all know she has a great voice, and she felt no need to go over the top to "prove it" like some other artists do. I think her restraint is something that makes this song so special.
I think that after her throat operation she had to change how she sings.
The beauty is in the nakedness and rawness of the song , she’s special.
My favorite thing about Adele and her voice is that she KNOWS her voice and plays around with her strengths, rather than trying to add extra things here and there just because other artists do it.

I think you are probably the best voice commentator here. Analysing technics together with style and musicality with depth, clarity and passion. As a colleague I salute your work. And...Super Adele ofcourse! Vastly colorful, balanced, coherent and so down-to-earth sincere and "simple". A rare artist.
Note that on the "easys", she (consistently and intentionally) sharpens the first downward note of each sequence, adding some beautiful tension that is released when she backs way off the upturn on "baby". Masterful stuff.
I like it because she kept it simple and isn’t doing a lot of belting on it which we’ve become a little bit too used to. And I am a fan of belting , and she is a fan of belting based on her last album, lol. But I like that she pulled back here and gave the appropriate atmosphere.
With Adele it’s not just her voice that people love it’s also that she has an amazing personality and she’s so funny and I think that is why people love her so much and I’ve even seen metal heads reacting to her and they even love her.

I think she is in her prime. Something similar happened to Floor Jansen in 2013 with Nightwish. She was 32 then, Adele is 33 now.

Adele is really a class of her own. And you are right, the song and the arrangement are outstanding in comparison to everything else we could hear in the charts today. Rick Beato made a very good analysis of this song and phenomenon: real piano, real singing, no autotune, not always perfect, but real and so emotional. That‘s why it sticks out and why people crave for it. It has soul! Maybe the only thing comparable recently was Olivia Rodrigo‘s Driver‘s Licence (in terms of real and emotional singing and lean or scarce production). In any case, Adele definitely did it again!

The sound is awesome for SURE... and I think this is what counts in this business the most! I hear 'Angie' of Rolling Stones and Nina Smone' 'How It Feels To Be Free' in this song so much...I find the sound of flying sheets of paper also really cool - they keep the feeling of ... getting more and more freedom! For me the song felt like an instant classic after only listening to it 2 or 3 times. So well constructed and perfomed it's amazing with that little bit of humor left in at the very end. Fantastic.

Something I have seen other reactors do to avoid the copyright issues is either blur out the video OR put Copyright over the video portion three times one on top of the other. Just a suggestion if you are worried about it. Nice reaction sir. I was wondering if you would sometime do a reaction to Angelica Hale singing either Stone Cold OR Looking Up. The latter was a song written for National Woman's Day 2020 and she was chosen out of many other artists to sing it. She was 12 at the time.

If I were to look at voice the same way I do a point guard in basketball, she's got the fundamentals perfected, she shows that hear. She's not getting crazy with the ball handling skill. She's just straight hoopin with nothin but net.

I listen to music very, very rarely so why is this so hypnotic, why have I listened to this so many times now ~x8 ? Please explain. I can name a few artists who get similar reaction at their concerts, one of them is Harry Styles. You should react to his "Sign of the Times (live at Graham Norton's show)". It impressed me a lot when I first got to know about him about a year ago. Would be interesting to hear your thoughts on his vocal skills.
I so wish she could relax the chords in the upper belt, the amount of tension in the chords is still causing viva strain, which no doubt is the reason she’s had vocal damage over the years of her career.
Vocal strain….those big ‘a’ vowels still have way too much strain and I wish she would go more easy on her chords. Instead of just writing light head voice choices I wish she’d learn to blend the registers with less impact and less strain.
Just my opinion. The ‘I’ vowel high at the end was one of the nicest things she did. Easy maybe but full and nicely positioned at the chords! Come in Adele, you have a great voice, keep working at your technical ability so that you indeed go easy on yourself and your chords! Xxx

It is a beautiful song sung equaly beautiful by Adele. My only negative comment to this must be to the ending of the music video. It takes away some of the emotions when they start to laugh and talk..
In that respect Angelina Jordans version of this has a more apropriate ending. Angelina felt this song hit her hard in her heart, and you can hear it... Just saying.. 😏
