Watch to see what the different status light patterns mean for the SONNET Audio Processor, part of the SYNCHRONY Cochlear Implant system from MED-EL. Especially helpful for new cochlear implant recipients and anyone involved with handling SONNET such as parents, teachers or professionals.
SONNET Status Light:
Short green blink: the FineTuner command is received
One green blink: Program 1 is selected
Two green blinks: Program 2 is selected
Three green blinks: Program 3 is selected
Four green blinks: Program 4 is selected
Short green blinks every 3.5 seconds: optional status light shows the SONNET is functioning
Continuous red blinks: batteries are empty
Continuous red light: minimum or maximum volume or microphone sensitivity is reached
DL-Coil Status Light:
Three short blinks: the DL-Coil, coil cable, and audio processor are working (SYNCHRONY, CONCERTO, MED-EL CONCERT, SONATA, PULSAR cochlear implants only)
One short green blink: the DL-Coil, coil cable, and audio processor are working (C40 and C40+ cochlear implants only)
-No lights: Link Check is disabled, or the audio processor is not working
Continuous short red blinks: DL-Coil is not communicating with the implant
Short red blinks 10 seconds apart: the DL-Coil is powered off

My Sonnet blinked red three times (in intervals). And i’m trying to find out what was the error. I got it to work again but I’d like to know in order to save me from the trouble next time. Do you know what could have possibly happened? I’m on vacation and don’t have my handbook right now. Thanks!
Hello Mustafa, if the video is of no help you can also have a look at the SONNET support page of our website: www.medel.com/support/product-support/audio-processors/sonnet/handling-and-basics/du_sonnet_handling_indicatorlight. Kind Regards, Giulia
If an indicator light on the DL coil blinks green 3 times when placed on the head and then doesn't do anything then what?
Does it need to continuously blink green or is that 1 instance enough?
My 2 year old has the sonnet 2
Hi there, thanks for your comment!
If the indicator light on your son's SONNET 2 blinks green three times after being placed on the head, that is confirmation the audio processor and implant are successfully connected. So that one instance is enough and no continuous blinking is necessary.
You can find more information about the light patterns and what they mean in the SONNET 2 quick guide. It's available for download here: www.medel.com/support/product-support/audio-processors/sonnet2/downloads
