Love the video - thanks! Definitely agree that the Harry belafonte record is in my all time “most fun for a buck” list (along with Sergio mendes - brasil 66 and a couple others). Cheers!

The Griff was influenced by Ben Webster, Johnny Hodges and Don Byas, then Charlie Parker, Bud Powell.

Great video as always. Do you have an online store where you sell records? I know about the merch store, I already bought a hoodie.

I dont understand..You think that the corproations are ONLY on the left?
      You are very sadly disillusioned..
At least the LEFT regulates these greedy fucks..
Until you understand the right questions you can never find the answers, the worlds wealth and corruption just as always lies in the hands of the rich. Tax breaks for corps and deregualting them to make more money does NOT swerve the peoples interest...
The smoke of immigration and abortions are sad illusions to scare fools into voting against their own interests...
But ..whatever... a narcissistic dictator sounds appealing to you, ... you get what you deserve.
On a global scale... corporations are the rulers of the worlds wealth... and they HATE governement... Siding with them under a right wing agenda is freedom only for them .... not lie I can change any ones minds... study some world history and geo politics and then think for yourself who is in charge and , who serves the people better...
Too be clear BOTH sides are corporate shills.. one just serves the people better..
Again look around this world,.... not that AMericans KNOW how to do that.. strong left leaning countries in Europe that have enough sovereignty to avoid corporate meddling are the strongest happiest nations on Earth...

Everyone has their own upbringing and experiences. I'm sure you can find aother neighbor on the left who is clueless.

Bless Your heart ..as they say in the SOuth... I kid...
Of course ... but My point is..its ok to be uninformed..but relax the fervor then...
Esp when you espouse a comprehension of said policies... But I digress...to each their own.
Proof is in the pudding.. the happiest weathiest people live with strong govt and social programs and lawless rampant greed looks a lot different!!
International perspective and comparison is valid on understanding all of this stuff... The vaccum of the poltical right in un abashed brain wash...IMO

“The best” of anything g is just opinion .. all the players I mentioned above speak to me and whoever speaks to you is what’s important.
Glad you got rid of loco… charge rent for those that live in your head!!

To support your arguments I’d like to offer an example of a not the best choice for no.1 Jazz vocalist: Ella Fitzgerald. Yes she can sing nearly anything and swing the heck out of it. There’s just one problem: everything she sings come out light and smiley and fun. For me she is always missing some emotional depth and connection. There’s a reason one of her most well known songs is “A Tisket, A Tasket” . None of this changes the fact that she is one of my favorite vocalists, but there are others that can sing circles around her and better deserve that no.1 spot. So I think when we answer question of the best whatever, we tend to say what we like rather than actually evaluating comparing and ranking which is actually what the answer to this question should be.

Ella is a great singer, n yes her work leans poppy for sure... listen to her with Louis Armsotring n yu will hear some more depth
