- There's a small glitch in the F11-F that needs a quick fix. Once we address that, hopefully this can be a very powerful aircraft! Unfortunately, I Don't Like It in its current condition.

Lack of elevator authority create many issues for the F11F. An approach to an enemy aircraft can suddenly be a fight for your life when you overshoot. AIM-9B's are scary in close range. Most all aircraft that get behind you can easily out turn you at most if not all speeds. I did not enjoy this aircraft at all, but I remain optimistic that this can be easily fixed. Hold onto your coupons for now!

You can't buy them. They are given to us... the content creator program is rather large right now though, a few hundred folks last I checked.. so that''s why you're seeing so many.
Im a collector so even if its not the greatest jet, Im definitely excited to have it!

Tbh im only grinding it because so far I have every Grumman cat series in the game, and I dont want to lose that streak. Just need them to add the F10F and ill have 3-11
Most of the other creators are praising it, Yet I can't seem to get this bloody thing to work due to the elevator and control surface issues.
I havent seen anyone praise it yet, but I won't deny I am not watching everyone else's vids.
I quite enjoyed flying this. I consistently did well majority of my games. Love the guns, yeah it may not pull the most but staying fast and booming n’ zooming at 9.0 with this thing, I like it
@@WhooptieDo i'm not sure if it's been fixed since this video or not, but in my experience it's been downright broken at 9.0: it should really be a 9.7 aircraft with a 10K repair cost

Btw the f9f8 suffered from the same flaws when it was introduce and it was instant destroyed when it happened (dev fixed this flaw by buffing neg structural strength but that's not historical)

Being new to War Thunder I was looking for a Squadron that allows new War Thunder members to learn from and play with more experienced.
Yeah I had trouble getting fine aim with the nose, for sure. Also I lost a wing in a regular aileron roll, wasn't inputting any other movement. Fun.

Happy to see the F-11 in game; one step closer to F-14. Ill probably buy the 11 if it goes for a good price, will be interesting to figure out it's performance flight envelope.

I'm just happen to have something new to fly in the American tree. I am a mud mover so I like the loadout options. The speed makes it nice to be able to fly in and tag bases. In the A4 you get caught a lot because the A4s lack of speed.
This thing is gonna be a monster in simulator battles
Hey whooptieDo, I have been playing jets (US) for a little while now (have all tier 5 jets researched and first Sabre). I had already been struggling to fly jets and now have the f11. It’s been a little rough ( I am now broke on sl lmao), do you have any more tips? Thanks
I find that default belts work best when using colt brownings.

The sweetspot for pulling G's is aprox 1050 km/h
The F11F-1 killed 6 Blue Angels including an incident where a 4 ship formation collided with the ground during practice. That being said it does also appear that Gaijin screwed with the instructor model for this one. They need to fix the instructor or allow you to customize/turn it off for mouse aim mode.
Your numbers are correct, but the four ship crash you mention was the Thunderbirds in T-38s at Indian Springs in 1982. All 6 of the F11 deaths were separate incidents.
gromcomando I swear i read it was blue angels in F-11s but it might be my tired ass being up on 24hr stretches.
The issue with rolling and pulling G’s might have something to do with the aircraft having spoilerons not airelons
I am quite excited for the plane, I dont expect it to be amazing but I would like them to adjust the repair cost at the very least if not adjust performance a bit. In its current state its just not any fun knowing im losing Silver lions even if I do well. I just want to have fun

Elevator is garbage and makes the plane very difficult to utilize effectively once you leave that sweet spot between 950-1100 kp/h. Anything above that and you compress horribly (made worse by the fucked up elevator) and anything below that you turn into a brick. This plane does not like turning and despite its very good roll rate (you can roll with Sabres lol), its aileron and elevator authority kneecap it severely unless you like playing a conservative, almost passive BnZ style. On the plus side, the F-11F has very good energy retention and it's dive performance is absolutely insane (I've overtaken F-100Ds in a dive and even ran down and killed a Lightning F.6). As an aside, I personally have a feeling that its not gonna stay at 9.0 BR, and there's a very good chance this goes up to 9.3 or 9.7 along with the likes of the F-100A/D and J32 Lansen, which is fine given what it sees in a 8.0 downtier.
im that last cl13 and i can approve that versing against one hunter + literally anything else is not a fun thing to play lol

I heard from a few YT it's a good jet since it's speed can out run pretty much everything and if you get down tier vs 8.0s it's fast AF

@@sniper321fire I think it could get Aim9Ds since that's what the navy ran. Missiles kills are inversely proportionate to player skill tho. Most smart players won't get shot down by them... And then you'll be in the struggle since this bad boy can't turn in its current state.
Don't know if they changed the FM (don't have my F11 yet) but they didn't change the BR. I did down two of them in my Cougar today with AIM-9B's, don't know if they didn't see the missiles coming or legitimately couldn't dodge them.

It's hard to say if the flight model is intentional. Yesterday I'd say yes, today I don't know. Reason being the Mexas has really bad armor holes. You can die to 2mm's of pen. It's a very obvious bug considering where the holes are. If gaijin are making big mistakes like that, then what's intentional on this and what's in error?
How you got this background?
I didn't like it either at first - just don't count on the guns, she's a missile boat, which may sound bad since it only has 9B's, however she's the fastest thing around at 9.0. Play it like a hunter or 104. Maintain 1100 kph, go high, drop into fights or chase down runners and judiciously use your 9B's on sure shots, don't waste energy wrestling the guns onto target. Take your best shot and if you miss focus on positioning yourself for the getaway.

I love the FJ-4, so I'm gonna love this thing too :D only shame it has the worst american 20s, but still... looks awesome

The guns aren''t half bad. These are Mod 0 cannons so I'm not sure if that makes a difference. The only time they ever failed me was in this video (at the end with the G91)

i'm not sure, that the aileron thing is a glitch. technically this plane does not have ailerons. it has spoilers, that reduce lift of the wing to get torque. every time you try to roll, the wing, in the direction you are trying to roll reduces it's lift with a spoiler. and consequently obviously you lose lift and are not able to pull as hard. that might be it, but since i haven't actually flown the aircraft yet i can't be 100% sure.
You're the second one to say this. I'm not saying you're wrong, you could be right, or maybe that's how it was intended at least, but I believe spoilerons create yaw. Yes, asymmetrical lift though. I'm not sure it should be pulling negative Gs tho.
So does this plane handle liek the F-104?
What else can one do with the coupons?

Honestly I agree it need as video but a couple tips that I’ve found helpful.
Climb and try to keep energy.
Only turn when needed (so like maybe against Hunters) you can turn with some other jets but you’re better off just BNZ them.
Get the boosters as soon as you can. It won’t rip with them.
You’ll get the hang of it. I love it.

This plane has no ailerons, it is achieving the aileron rolls by deploying spoilers, and that might be why it behaves strangely
It's possible, but as I understand spoilerons, it should create yaw, not down force.
@@WhooptieDo I mean, for example when you input a clockwise roll, the plane deployes the right spoiler on the upper surface of the wing, so it creates a right yaw and a clockwise roll which kind of results in a roll and a downward pitch. I'm not sure whether this is the way it works but that's how I understand it.

I find it rather aggravating that one of the 'most manueverable' naval jet of that time handles like a god damn f-104 in War Thunder. This was supposed to be good and Gaijin did nothing but let us down once again

I took 20 min in the match in this video. As you can see I ran out, but its probably enough given how tough the plane is. 30m I'd recommend if you're going to carry.

There is. I keep my own engine volume low and boost the enemy engines for situational awareness.

No, the J32 and Hunter can both stomp on this thing if they want to in its current condition. Its a J32 that turns far far worse.
