AUDI MMI SCREEN WON'T TURN ON - FUSE BOX CHECK PART 1

2008 Q7 MMI stopped working last month. Logo pops up for 3 seconds and then black screen of death ☠️. I find no evidence of water leakage anywhere and the interior is immaculate so I really do want to fix this issue. Here’s what I’ve done so far. Any other ideas are appreciated! Thanks 🙏 for your video!
1. Tried all the button resets.
No joy
2. Checked all fuses
All fuses good
3. Replaced MMI control board
Easier than you may think but still didn’t help.
4. Removed right rear panel and isolated all optical connections with a fiber optic loop.
No joy
5. Unplugged all power to Bose Amp, Audi amp, phone signal amp, navigation system, and a couple of electronic boxes with optical connections I don’t even know what they do but still NO JOY.
6. I’m about to go out there and put everything back together and replace every fuse in all three boxes and see what happens.

I like the idea of using the multimeter to check fuses. I usually do it by sight but using the MM is for sure the better method.

i jump start my ‘12 A5 and it fried a fuse so i replaced it, my car died once again so i needed to jump it again. and now the MMI controls won’t light up, replaced fuses AND MMI control board. still nothing. thoughts?

If you have already checked all the fuses in fuse box locations. And they are good and properly working. Then the other place you need to check is the CD/RADIO OEM deck behind it is a 15 amp fuse that often blows out. If you have had to jump start your vehicle. So that will require you to remove it from the center console in order to replace the fuse if it is blown.

That’s odd. The buttons wouldn’t work if the MMI screen isn’t functioning, depending on what fuse went out.
I would also check the fuses in the front of the car.
Where your glove box is located on the side where you can remove the trim.
