okay, not crap. stuff =) sorry for agression, that this kind of language might imply. it's 2:30am of a fourth day of me writing a research paper on advocating sustainability to the general public through environmental public art. And one of the main issues other than those mentioned by Poynter in her video is the human urge to define things (both material and abstract) through verbalization of the information and the abundance of ambiguities of this method of reception & analysis of information
EVERYONE WHO USES BIOSPHERE DEFINITION USED BY HER AT THE BEGINNING OF THE VIDEO Earth is NOT materially closed, because asteroids can and DID enter on occassions the Earth's Biosphere and rockets and other kinds of space-related crap, like nuclear waste and satelites, etc do on occassions leave the Earth's biosphere-1 I could probably keep the list going, but hope it is enough to understand that her definition contains within itself a MAJOR ambiguity, considering the 500 word youtube restriction
don't worry, I believe scientists do realize and take into account what kind of implications can be caused by lack of biodiversity, including genetic kind. But it is an interesting aspect to take into consideration when creating mini-experiments like this one. should the experiment contain maximum biodiversity for thevbest average results or not? different inherited & gained during life in biosphere-1 individual's health-related (WHO, 1948) necessities may change a drastic amount of results.
I have this on the lowest possible volume setting and the yelling still hurts my ears! Dear Jane, this is an interesting topic and I am intrigued by what you have to say. However I wish you had done some practice talks with a microphone, you really don't need to be this loud. If you do read this please don't take this as an internet troll throwing insults from behind a keyboard. I really do like your content, but you need to slow down considerably and lower your volume a good few decibels. I say this from kindness so people can enjoy your talks in the future.

I just visited BioSphere2. Pretty awesome. The UofA is doing some exciting experiments there now.
