netflix being available on disc was actually to get around an agreement netflix had with microsoft at the time where, for a period, netflix was exclusive to the xbox 360. the agreement was for a downloadable app so netflix cheekily made a disc for wii.
Gosh the Wii is so great, I just retired from modding the console for over 4 years and it was some of the best memories I've ever had. I'm so glad the console is still popular as ever even after all these years. Great video!!

The Wii was so innovative, I wish Nintendo could do the same today. But, of course, no virtual console...
It would be really nice if the next Nintendo console was like the Wii in this regard. When the Wii released I was too young to really appreciate any of this stuff.

Gotta say the Wii Internet Channel worked really well (and didnt had bad loading times). However with newer HTML sites using different and more complicated scripts it doesnt work or it works very poorly
even back then it was still really bad lmao
yes it could load most websites back then BUT it would be very slow
@@libyanhomie1186 maybe it was your connection (or harder web sites) because ofc it took like 5-10 secs but pcs at that time were merely faster.Ofc not compairable to today but considering the power of the cpu it worked pretty well

Anyways it's actually I would say way more better than check mii out in a sense. You would need Rabbids Go Home game of course but the customization options in that game are really good + there was a website where you could check the rankings and order your own rabbid figurine!!
