Unless Geno comes completely unglued (or injured) there's no way Howell starts 2+ games. Coaches don't just throw a #2 guy in there just to see what he has. You start doing that and you're going to lose the locker room
Yup yup
Huge facts
I could see Geno missing 1 game and mmmaybe sitting week 18 if we lock up a playoff spot
Wow common sense from a Seahawks fan
Who officially claimed that Geno is the outright starter?
Unless Howell looks way better in training camp, then he becomes the starter, and would make no difference to anyone in the locker room.
Both have to learn a brand new offensive system, and Geno will be gone after 2024.
The Seahawks owe Geno absolutely nothing just because.
Man I hope Abe gets healthy. Wishing him the best!
Every team encounter this. When it happens to players on a rookie deal it is much more tolerable than with players that have a great deal of draft capital and salary cap invested. Jamaal Adams for example. The Lucas situation isn't nearly as devastating.
Geno would have to stink up the joint to lose his job. If his play is the equivalent of last season, then he is relatively secure.
And if the coaches can't coach at the NFL level, well, Carroll can come out of the janitors room and take over. Carroll's big weakness was hanging on to coaches who couldn't coach high school. Clinton Hurtt, what a useless tub of stinky pudding!
Lucas situation is devastating because the line is garbage and it affects Geno and the offense. Once again, dead last in money spent on the line
@@rickyricardo4599 Last in money spent on any given position group = Many players on rookie deals = roster value = great cap management = built for the future.
Get a clue. You can't resolve issues by just throwing money at them. Just look at the Denver Broncos.
Locked on Seahawks The Best In the Game!
Pete Carroll saying Chronic ONE TIME, doesn't' mean much. He has said weird and wrong things about player injuries for years.
117 a game would be a huge improvement. That's 2000 yards. If it's not 2000 everyone should be fired who are playing on defense.
Rushing yards. 1800 is only 107 a game. That would be horrible. It better be better than 107 a game with the 2 RBs they have. It should easily be 120+. If not it's a long season in Seattle for a struggling offense.
You pray Spoon gets less. That means he's so good teams don't even what to test him like what happened the Sherman. Sherman's INTs went down because they just stopped throw at him. He went weeks never seeing a target. Hard to get INTs when teams never throw your way because you are so good.
Passing TD is miss leading. It's points each game. Let's say Geno throws for 34 TDs. That's 2 a game. Seattle averages 14 a game as a team. Well 34 TDs in horrible. Now Geno throws for 17. A horribly low number yet the offense average 28. That's a good number and at the top of the league most years. It's not who gets them but how many you get. You hope the ground game get 15+. It means you run the ball. Which means balance which means less TD passes. A good thing. I think Geno is going to be 25ish and 10 with 4000 yards. 4000 is only 235 a game. You better get to 4000. If he does that and the defense is average Seattle will be in the playoff hunt. If not...
Howell for starter! Go Hawks!
Sam Howell will get his chance to show what he can do in preseason, I hope with the starting offense! Geno has been in the league a lot of years and is a good QB, but not good enough to keep as a starter for all the other teams he has played for! If he was, Seattle would not be his employer now! Geno will start because he is getting paid millions to start, not sit on the bench! Sam will accept this and be a team player but he will keep getting better until he gets his chance! No bad luck wished upon Geno but he better not get injured and needs to win every week, or, money or not, he will be the one sitting on the bench! Sam is that good ! POMO (east coast fan)
It kind of was under the Rader when we were all focusing on the draft but Lucas around that time had another surgery they said minor but with the chronic medical problems with Lucas I doubt if he even plays football again, so we will have to see what happens.
I have been worried about that since last year. I am thinking he won't be a top notch tackle because of that knee. Hope I'm wrong though.
Thanks Corbin, appreciate ya.
You hope they don't get 200 tackles that means the offense was on the field and the defense isn't giving up 5+ yards a snap like last year.
Good episode
Let's cross our fingers it's the way Macdonald communicates !
Nick Lee is a veteran of too many barrooms and social media, that he would even consider that the Seahawks would even have any desire to see Howell clown in a game. This is adult football, and Geno is an adult, highly experienced, highly talented QB who has played behind a crappy bottom-dwelling O-line. With Grubb's offense and a better line, Geno is going to light it up, and the running backs, with better blocking, will also take a lot of pressure off from Geno. Mahomes couldn't win with last year's Seattle O-line, that the defense is nearly able to get in the backfield so fast, that they could take the center snap!
If Fant didn't suck the teams who had him after Seattle would have kept him. The more he plays makes you realize why you don't want him to play.
Just an average defense Seattle made the playoffs last year. Just average would be great. They could make the playoffs with an average defense.
Carnivore diet will heal tendinitis and chronic joint issues in a short time.
I no respect Nick Lee Kung Fu.
As soon as they got Fant, I thought Lucas was going to be done for the year. I see why he fell to the 3rd round. It’s time to start the Fire John S. chants for his negligence on how he handled the oline
He had 0 injury history before this and all this is just conjecture at this point.
They gave him a clean bill of health and drafted him. Seattle has a history of and red flag on health they don't draft them. I don't think he missed 1 game in college on 1 game year 1 in the NFL.
@@larrylindgren9484 how do you explain his handling of the worst interior line in football? How do you explain being dead last in money to the line for three years now?
They should of had him taking stem cell injections for 2/12 years now
