Claudia Hart Yeah I thought she was too. I was scrolling thru the comments and no one else mentioned how dead that woman looked. I did see her chest move so I wasn't sure what was going on. Was she still alive and just immobile until the nurse turned her back? Who was feeding her all those plates of food? How long had she been there like that? Was it actually the old woman on the other side of the blue door the whole time waiting like a witch? Lots of little questions, but an excellently done short with a great twist!
Even I thought the same thing that her grandma was already dead since my father has expired recently and his body was moving the same way as a living body moves while breathing (reason is even if the brain dies other organs of the body still work for several hours).
My theory: she keeps the door close but the entire time she’s closing herself out (she is the one trying to get through the door at its first appearance.😳
I thought the same. More so because she finally saw the mark on the door which means she ended up on the wrong side of the door where the demon's waiting for her.

Yeah, the behind the bed part was “stay with you” scary, but that jump on her back part ruined it. They should have just made her continue to move across the floor like that and leave the rest to our imagination, instead of the lame “I’m gonna getcha-Rarrrrrrrr!!!” playground ending.
@@WrvrUgoThrUR yes I agree. It sounds classic but actually having her crawl towards her without jumping makes it more "real". Just like the "silent" aspect of her sitting there behind the bed. I thought the Blue Door was supposed to represent death coming for the old lady and as her caretaker, she was trying her best to keep that from happening. And then I saw the ending lol
Alright, late reply, but I still think it is. The caretaker tried to keep death away from the old lady, which is not possible. She tried too hard to avoid the unavoidable that, in the end, death came for her. Often in life, the more you try to prevent something from happening, the more likely you are to make it happen. :-p

The old lady peeking up from behind the bed is terrifying. I at that point would soil myself then assume the foetal position while humming twinkle twinkle little star.
I just realized the door was being held back by her and when she finally wanted to open the door instead of pushing it closed, it was too late. I think it's about how you always stay in you're comfort zone and never explore, but when you finally want to do something challenging it's always you holding you back.
My interpretation when I saw someone trying to open the door was that it was the nurse itself who was trapped on that side and trying to get into the real world
There's a magical blue door that keeps trying to open after an old lady dies. Eventually the door won't open and the old woman turns into a zombie and bites the woman who is desperately trying to open the door.
Okay so I got this from the net. A blue door may symbolize prosperity and abundance So since the theory is about her not wanting to step out of her comfort zone and missing opportunities, that door may symbolize the success and prosperity that one desires.
Queen Yara Greyjoy is the Queen of the Iron Islands and Lady Reaper of Pyke, the daughter and last surviving child of Balon Greyjoy, and older sister and only surviving sibling of Theon Greyjoy. She was raised at Pyke, the stronghold of House Greyjoy. Yara is a fierce warrior and commands her own longship, the Black Wind. After the assassination of her father, Yara lays claim to the Iron Islands, but when the ironbornchoose her uncle Euron, who murdered Balon, as their next king, she and Theon flee with a portion of the Iron Fleet and their loyal followers. Yara and Theon become allies with Daenerys Targaryen. Yara is then captured by her uncle when he attacks the Targaryen fleet, though she is later freed by Theon and their remaining loyalists. After the assassination of Daenerys, Yara participates in the Great Council of 305 AC and consents to the choosing of Bran Stark as the new King of the Andals and the First Men.

Good horror films capitalize on what we're already afraid of -- death, dying, paralysis, decay, being alone in a strange place. This short had all of that. Why was it creepy from the moment it started? because we are afraid to be around people who are dying, especially if they seem paralyzed (the older actress was *VERY* good at not blinking!). It must be a very helpless feeling, being sent to care for someone who has no hope of getting better. And then, the door appears ....

God, she is so beautiful, and deserves way more recognation.
Loved her on GOT as Yarra Greyjoy!
One of the best of these I have seen. Truly terrifying!
I think the girl is playing in GOT as Theon Greyjoy's sister
She plays Yara Greyjoy! Yep.
Ok...Im not easily scared...but that ending was friggin' terrifying!
Wasn't even one word muttered
and it kept a hell of a whole lot of suspense in it. The more I see it keeps getting better.

YES!!!!!!! 5 STARS!
This is the most terrifying short film I have ever seen in my life... 🔥👌🏼 Added to my playlist. ❤️
When you're trying to get someone out of a terrible situation but they're TOO DUMB to figure it out
A seriously good film though, amazing acting
Gemma Whelan is a phenomenal actress.
Amazing to see Theresa May in her new career as a zombie after her robot flop.
