Garth is one of those artists where it's a must to listen to the whole album. I would've missed so many great songs like this one if I only listened to the more well-known classics.
If he held concerts like this I’d pay 500 bucks to sit at a table. It’d be a dream to sit and listen to his deep cuts played with everyone sitting quietly listening.
I got a cassette of "Garth Brooks" for road trips, since my parents spoke so good of him. I was never into country until I listened to that tape, which is now in my top 3 fav albums ever!

@@SeboltLawnLandscape I think that's standard for true fans who go deep into an artist's work. Alabama Clay and Everytime It Rains are my favorites from the first album, and this live performance is excellent. Garth Brooks and Enrique Iglesias are my top two favorite artists (different genres of course), and the same was true for Iglesias' songs that didn't get released as singles or got played on the radio, especially stuff from his Spanish albums.
Shout out from Oklahoma! Love all your music, Garth. It doesn’t rain much anymore, but love it when it does. You’re an awesome artist.God has truly blessed you. I began playing the piano at the age of four, by ear. I later learned to play from sheet music. Your book is the only country music I own, and love it. Since my dad died I don’t play, but still appreciate true talent when I hear it!

I love this man!! I have from the first time I heard his voice. Then I saw him on television and I thought he's so good looking! I love everything about him!
I really love this version. That one line he adds towards the end “It’s raining on me/and I love the rain” isn’t in the studio version but I think it adds a nice touch. It shows even though the relationship didn’t work out, there’s fondness in the memory. Sort of a “don’t be sad it’s over, smile because it happened” sort of thing. It’s subtle, but I think it’s great.

ya know as much as I know about this guy and all his songs, it's ones like this and others that are not on his greatest hits albums that I never knew he had done or even existed. I think that largely has to do with the fact that til mr. His best songs are album cuts. Great stories like Lonesome Dove, Wolves, Cowboy Bill, The Cowboy Song. So much heart put into those songs.
All of those are such good songs 💞

Agreed!!
Beautifully said I agree 💯%
90s Garth was unstoppable
Me too
His older stuff is so underrated! This song is so damn good...just like “I’ve got a good thing going” that’s another great one. ❤️
His old stuff pretty much sold out the world, so not to underrated, he is a talent.
Blondie2783 people criticize him but yes his old stuff is pure and genuine👍
Facts this hole album is fuckin amazing and some of the best country a man or woman can ever experience in his/hers lifetime
Totally agree. Can't believe they weren't hits especially wild horses and a new way to fly

Zach Kinnaley in top 10 not as good as George straight and Alan Jackson and Toby Keith
Better singer than all of them, helluva song writer.

Stuck in an airport in Austin, all of the flights are delayed
And as the rain keeps fllin' the mem'ries keep callin' me back
To another time and place
Back to a rainy dy in Oklahoma, she was workin' at this roadside cafe
And it was just her and me and looked like it would be
At least 'till the storm rolled away
I played "Please Come to Boston" on the jukebox
She said hey that's my favorite song
The next thing I knew the song was through
And we were still dancin' along
And with that look in her eyes she pulled from me
Then she pulled off that apron she wore
And with her hand in mine we turned off the sign
And locked the rain outside the door
Every time that it rains I can hear her heart callin'
It rains, I can see that dress fallin'
The storm clouds roll on, still the memory remains
Every time that it rains
One late rainy night I got a phone call
So I went back to see her again
And through the dnce we both stumbled and with the buttons we fumbled
So we decided just to call it at friends
If we ever had a thing now it's over and only the memory remains
Of a roadside cafe on a September day
I relive every time that it rains
Every time that it rains I can hear her heart callin'
It rains, I can see that dress fallin'
The storm clouds roll on, still the memory remains
Every time that it rains
