Priya was my classmate in the final year. She wasn't the talkative type but wore simple clothes like the one she is wearing right now. She went on a padyatra with her dad & wrote a nice letter to our HOD for the class. Her vivid description of her experiences felt so nice to listen to. Her dad was her inspiration & she took to social work with ease. Most actors after independence came from a difficult space so we must give them respect for the work they have done. There weren't great opportunities for women. If women from difficult backgrounds rose above it and with sheer grit & talent aced it, give them credit. Nargisji deserves that respect. Nargisji passed away and in a few months my mom passed away too. It is tough for kids to overcome grief & focus on studies. But Priya too has shown fortitude and strength of character.

@@narcissingh6157 Where someone comes from should not matter , it is where they are going. In Nargis' case she was a phenomenal actor and who was recognised and admired across most of the world. Why you would try and denigrate her achievements by making such a backward comment, especially if you are a female yourself, says more about you then her. None of us are responsible for whom we were born to. Plus how do you know what her mother, grand mother, great grandmothers were or were not? Were you there?
