Those steam eye masks are a must for me when I take the overnight Greyhound bus from my city to Chicago (which is about 8 hours). They help me fall asleep easier, especially because we don't have busses with private seating like this. I think I became unreasonably excited at the ottoman and leg rest on this bus, and how far your seat reclined - Greyhound seats barely recline at all!
@@soniadowney7427 my guess is some kind of safety law incase of a crash or something might be higher likely hood of being injured after a certain degree?
The vibration of road travel pits me to sleep. But then I spent a good chunk of my youth and teenage years going in the logging truck with my dad all over the southern interior of British Columbia.
A small Eastern Shore sugar baby watermelon is essential for all my travel.😁 That looked like a comfortable trip. Thanks for taking all of us along on your continued adventures.
Oh, no, STJ, how could you do this to us! No food! Your meals are my favorite parts of your videos. It's a very nice bus, but it's still just a bus. I'd much rather take a ferry, train, or even just an airplane.
I love all the amenities provided on the bus. By the way, you have to show us your 'before' and 'after' face before we could help you to determine whether the steam mask can make you more handsome than 'already handsome' 😁
Well, not that you're missing much... But the long distance bus is a cheap alternative to every other transport I must agree. The overnight train is still the best!)
It is quite interesting how motorcoaches/buses have gone through radical changes, of course in terms of design and features . Today, the motorcoach has evolved and able to offer luxury and comfort. 💚
As an American truck driver, I loved seeing the different trucks parked at the rest areas. That one purple truck that was taking up two parking spaces would have gotten yelled at by other drivers for doing that here in the US. That's considered very inconsiderate because truck stops run out of parking spaces very quickly here. Do you know of any youtubers who are Japanese truck drivers? I would love to see what being an over the road (long haul) truck driver is like in Japan. Thank you for your videos!
Japan has the coolest forms of transportation available to the public. I don't like taking buses, as I had to take several in young adulthood and they're just not always all that comfy, but this one is a fantastic thing. The vibration wouldn't bother me, but being able to recline my seat and put my feet up and actually sleep would be a great way to get around if I had to travel at night.
Hello!! Just came to say my fiancé and I really enjoy your videos, and my fiancé especially appreciates them because she was lucky enough to visit Japan when she was a teenager. Keep up your amazing work! 😊🇯🇵
Well, obviously, you're precious. That's why they let you buy a seat in precious class. Oh, and of course you caused the rattling (I was going to write turbulence...) because you lifted the little side table...
It's great that your videos show many different ways of travel. Not all of us can afford first class, While some of your viewers want to speed along from city to city, others want to travel more slowly and see the points between the urban areas. Others get seasick easily, and need choices other than ferries. Glad to know that you are handsome!
The Shinkansen costs just as much as the dream liner if you take non-reserved seats (you still get a seated place usually, just not designated) and only takes 2.5h from Osaka to Tokyo. So unless you can actually sleep on busses and want to save hotel costs, the dream liner bus is not a cheaper or more convenient option.... there are regular night busses that only cost 7,000Yen that I prefer since I can't fall asleep anyway but just want to save money (seats are normal bus seats).
Thank you uploading this video. I plan to visit Japan next year, your documentation makes me feel confident to travel by bus to the major cities of Japan. Have a great Sunday brother ✌️

Another wonderful trip video. Great job! I'd love to see a video, or series of videos, about public transportation to various shops and restaurants across Tokyo. Seeing bus and subway travel to the different neighborhoods would be fascinating.

I am comparing this bus terminal to Victoria in London… it’s like comparing a hospital in Japan to a cheap brothel in LA… thankfully, I want to go to the first and not the second..😏
I did something similar before. I went from Kobe to Fukuoka in a night bus and it was great. I would recommend bringing a spare battery in case you need to use electronics as I don't know if there will be outlets.
Gonna give it to you straight, I have such a mortal fear of buses that this made me antsy, so no, no thank you on trying it! 😂 but as always, I very much enjoyed it!! It's a lot nicer than the only bus I've ever spent 12+ hours on, for darn sure.
