@@SridharKs it shows poor results in elbw neonates...plus in hfnc...pressures are never measured accurately.....nor exact flows...it doesn't stand anywhere close to CPAP whereas it's costs are so high
@@ashishmarwah8608 it helps in weaning cpap sooner (with benefit of easier use on infant). Cost of optiflow is quite reasonable. Optiflow is more expensive

Sir, post extubation, from what gestation we should use NIMV over CPAP?
It is not gestation specific but the ELBW babies definitely do better on Nippv. Any baby with significant recession after extubation is better on this
High flow nasal canula is no sense in neonate
It does work if used appropriately. It can’t replace cpap or nippv fully. Please elaborate on why you say so and share your experience
