This monitor got a lot of ants inside and need to clean.

This literally saved me a new monitor. I squished a bug inside my monitor as I thought he was just crawling on my screen. I took a chance with trying to clean it following this guide and it worked wonders. Thank you very much for putting this out there!

Literally have a tiny bug cruising around the inner display now... hoping it finds its own way out but might have to do this myself...
I can't thank you enough for your video. A tiny insect died in the middle of my screen and I was VERY sad and didn't know what to do.
I knew it was possible to disassemble and clean it but I would have never been enough confident to do it alone. And I find your awesome video.
I followed step by step what you shown and I only used a credit card to disassemble it without any scratch on the bezel. I think this is the best tool to do it without damaging anything.

There is a screw under the monitor (in the very center of the bottom) on my VG27AQ. What is it for ?

Bro, I tried this method, worked for me. Removing the back was soooo fucking hard, took me an hour because im trying to be careful, but all else is easy peezy. Thanks for the guide.

My dude, digital fistbump. Just lost my job and smished a little bug under my ROG Swift. Was NOT excited about breaking the monitor OR paying for it to get cleaned professionally and this helped me decide to man up!!!!

I tried this and managed to put it back together, it works but the edges look bent and I think they will never look the same again.

I'm sorry, is this the VG279QM Tuf Gaming Monitor? I took it apart to replace the cracked screen and well now I can't put the stupid frame back that goes around the display and it won't stay on the whole back end piece of the monitor :( What do I do or what am I doing wrong?
Just a tip: dont just pull the bezel, pull the whole screen with it. I just bend te bezel that way and in the end broke the glass screen. So its ready for the dumpster. No worries, it was worth the try.

This is riddicolus, how is this even a thing. I got a dead spider pixel inside mine. Squashed it thinking it was on the outside of the screen. Something is wrong with the design of this screen? This is not a thing with any other screen I had for the last 20 years, insects on the inside directly in between behind the IPS panel and front panel WTF? I wont fix this only to have the exact same thing happen again... Its a shame because its a decent screen. So you have to keep doing this procedure everytime that happens. Or atleast know about it so you dont squash them if you see something moving inside there. The crazy part is that it looks exactly like graphics because of the raster. I was playing a game that sometimes has tiny insects moving around sometime already on the screen and I thought a real spider was gfx from the game (Division 2).
Sir, first of thank you for the tutorial and guide I was able to successfully clean my monitor. Believe it or not the ants in our household seems to have chosen my monitor as their habitat/home. Because no matter what I flashed them out of my monitor they keep coming back. So, I started investigating I came across your vid and decided to do it myself. Upon opening to my surprise its like they have a colony inside my monitor already. Glad I was able to follow your guide and got rid of them. However, I just have a question, we pulled the vessels upright, right? It got deformed since it is sort of thin metal. Is this natural?

sad to hear 😞, you should be careful pulling on the sides cause the panel is easy to break. I suggest you buy panel online as replacement.
I need help.. i was gaming then my VG27AQ monitor just went blank.. then i restarted my pc and now it wont show anything.. led power is on but the screen is blank and i also tried it on my ps4 the screen is blank too
try change hdmi/any port

May I know the reason why you dissembled this monitor? I have same monitor, Red Green Blue lines appear across the screen vertically. Do you know how to fix it?
I did this and did some tightening on some parts inside but lines still exist. :(

@@ernald1 yea, I was overthinking it, the issue was the 3 small screws, u can't tighten them all the way, they need to be a little bit loose and it should move freely

I have a question: My Asus V248QE has a faint white line on the bottom of the monitor. It's really hard to focus on anything because of that. Do you think it is possible to get rid of that line by doing what you did in the video?

@@roelzaportiza9514 Yes but I am using it as my 2nd monitor now. I am not sure if the line will comeback if I use it heavly. What I did was disasemble like in the video. Clean it up. Wait at least 5 days before using it. And then start to use it.

Hey, so I've got a bug under my monitor (VG27AQ, so same bezels as yours?) I tried pulling up the bezels for more than 1 hour but I wasn't able to do so. Any tips to begin pulling the bezels up ? I would have loved to see what you did before the skip at 1:12. I tried the exact same method ! It hurts my finger nails !

yeah it really hurts, that's why i cut my nails. You must keep pulling each side until you hear click.
I have exactly the same monitor, and it's soo damn hard I did not manage to pull the bezels either..
I ended up breaking out a flathead screwdriver to help. It worked and didn't damage anything, just make sure to be careful

You can buy these things called "Spudgers" that are meant specifically for this
just broke the cracked the lcdin my monitor lol. sometimes you win, sometimes you fuck up. today just wasnt my day. guess whos in the market for a new monitor!

Just broke mine (diff model) trying to open it. ASUS is trash, had lots of ASUS products over the years and most have had issues. Don't buy ASUS monitors, Samsungs last much longer.
Bad designed, cos dust bug etc get inside pretty easily... i owned one

You made me destroy a 500 $ screen because i had a true dead bug behind the screen and i tried to pull a corner and it is so fragile. Don't do anyhtin like this by yourself.

on 1:14, just lift up the bezel, never touch the screen. cause it's fragile.
What monitor did you have. I don't know if they all have bezels. I have the VG279QM and can't get it to budge with very high effort.
