In '91 my American housemate where I just moved in, in Lagunitas Calif. (at the edge of the forest) asked me if I wanted to hear him play the Vichitra Veena, I said yes. Tears streamed down my cheeks, his playing was so beautiful. He gave me a cassette recording. My youngest daughter now age 16, is named Veena.
