You can change the tuning with the tuner for a quick dropped D, it just means that one string wont be "Evertuned", but when you get back to Zone 3, it will be back to a perfectly tuned E, so you just put it back to your desired zone position. Super easy, actually.
The Evertune Bridge is the easiest I have ever setup. You just haver to bring the strings back to the edge of Zone 3 if you want to bend or have vibrato. I love it.
Exactly. A lot of people don’t know that and then complain. Like learn your instrument 😂
I have heard of artists that will purposely dial it back to zone two for sections when recording tracks so every chord rings true, and nothing sounds sharp. Obviously that only works on some track, but it's an interesting cheat.@@TylerRossow
@@jiujitsu25 that’s what I do. Any time I’m tracking parts that don’t need bends or vibrato I have it locked into zone 2
Hola amigo Bien video, TE pregunto que Tengo que hacer para cambiar El grosor de Las cuerdas, poner cejuela para cuerdas 0'10 solucionaria,de fabrica trae 0'9-46 gracias por la ayuda
None of this is more intimidating than setting up a Floyd Rose. I don’t even like to tune drop D on my Floyd. PITA. Forget about exotic tunings, my Jackson stays happily in E standard, thank you. 😁
Yeah not a fan of Floyd’s 😅
Ummm this is like setting up a Floyd to float for every string. It's literally 6x more complicated..
I bought an EC 1000 Deluxe ET and was so impressed that I bought the TE 1000 Deluxe ET 6 months later. Now I'm on the hunter for a Viper 1000 Deluxe ET too.
That’ll be a solid collection!
Hi dude. Thanks for the information, did you get you evertune installed or was it pre installed? If not then did you notice a change in the guitar sound?
It was pre installed. A lot of people warned me that if I install, it changes the sound of the guitar because they have to remove wood from the body. So don’t do it to a guitar you already love.
Still a little latency issue with bending but not too major. It will change your approach though. You have to bend more to get to notes.
True! Definitely have to dig into it a little more
@@TylerRossownice of you to mention this absolutely nowhere in your glowing review lol. I'm surprised you weren't selling nevertune NFTs too
@@friedsensei I agree. If true, this is a huge red flag.
@@milankotevski1663 yeah it seems like the evertune is pretty specifically useful for metal rhythm guitarists. If a guitar feels weird for bending that's a total deal breaker. I'd be happy to have it in the studio for certain things, and it might be the holy grail on tour for those kind of guys, but it's not for everyone, and maybe less than that lol
Question... if I buy an evertune for standard tuning. Can I go as low as drop C and even drop B if I'm willing to change the strings each time I want to change tunings? Or is there a limit to how low I can down tune no matter what strings I use, if the evertune bridge was initially set up for standard. Thanks in advance!
Yes you can tune to any of the typical 6 string tunings. Standard, Drop D through Drop A#. But you will need to change strings accordingly. You can get about 2 tunings at a time. So mine are set up with a gauge that allows me to play Drop C and Drop B
@@TylerRossow ah amazing. That answers my question perfectly. Thanks dude!
Whats the disadvantage for staying in bendmode all the time? Wouldn't it be best to stay there all the time 🤔
You definitely can. If you pick the string to hard you could get some pitch drift tho so if you’re recording a part with no bends, stage 2 will get you the perfect take
Meh. I tried going go edge of zone 2 for strings. It messes w bend feel bigtime and it will go outta tune if you are lead player. For just chugs the evertune is fine.
With the standard saddles you can go from drop b, drop c to e standard with 11-54 strings, specifically Ernie ball beefy slinky strings. Wish I worked that out before ordering 6 sets of 12-56 😂
You used the calculator to make sure?
I received my custom kiesel i totally love the evertune but it does lack a little harmonic power when doing wild bend pinched harmonics im just unsure if it is the way i set the evertune or if it is like it is, i alway’s time my zone shift really close to zone 3 so it wont change pitch when i press hard on the string but exactly to the point where i feel the bends happening fast but it is still not close enough to get these wild harmonics like the one i do rehearsing some killswitch engage, maybe you have a trick?
The only thing I can think is tune a little closer to stage 3. Other than that, it’s probably a little compromise. I can get good pitch harms out but I don’t play super exaggerated ones typically
Thank you for the fast answer! The other thing popping when i get closer to zone 3 too much is the note going little sharper than the perfect tuning even before i hit zone 3 so i guess i need to get used to it for a while, these evertune still are awesome!
On a normal bridge, e.g. Hipshot or Floyd Rose I have the following problem - the 6th string varies in pitch when played open. The note sounds sharp initially, then settles to the correct pitch. This gets more noticeable with lower tunings and fatter strings, even if the string gauge is perfectly suitable for the tuning, e.g. a .060 for C standard. Does the Evertune fix this? Because that would be the only reason for me to get a guitar with one.
The evertune doesn’t have any pitch drift when setup so yes it’ll fix it. Typically all other guitars do this to an extent. The initial strike of the string will be sharp and then settle into the desired note.
Thats how notes should sound. Don’t be so worried about it
So, since a guitar is never ever in tune, does this bridge solve that problem? I need to adjust, depending which key I play in.
Yeah it’s dead on once it’s tuned up!
@@TylerRossow so how does it account for the intonation errors that are natural to each guitar? Strandberg solves this with their ‘squiggly’ frets. Does Evertune only stabilize the tuning?
👍
The calculator is a must. Lost 2 strings in a row, because I tought this calculator is not necessary for me
Definitely gotta use it! RIP those strings 🙏🏻😂
Need a drop C and D standard for 6 string and Drop A and B standard on 7 string I'm getting both
Good call! Definitely go for it 🤘🏻
I find that if I tune in zone 2, when I take it on the edge of zone 3 it seems to go a bit sharp
Just roll back a little more into 2 🤘🏻
I find the bends become a little laggy and vibrato takes more . But what I do is set it to the very edge of zone 2 and then tune it there .
Is an Evertune a bit overkill for a casual bedroom guitarist like me?
If you record a lot, absolutely worth it.
If you’re just playing songs you like, it might feel like more work since you’re locked into only a few tunings
What song were you playing at 0:05?
Tyler Rossow - Curveball 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Make a tutorial for the evertune setup (:
I linked 3 videos that do it better than me. 🤘🏻
If playing guitar wasn't hard enough already
How is the sustain with evertune? More or less sustain than tunomatic bridge?
Sustain is great. Notes will hold for plenty of time. Haven’t had any issues
The Evertune delays the reaction of a bend. It's just enough to bother me a little
Tune closer to stage 3. It should feel the same. Otherwise you’re not close enough to the “edge”
Can you tune to c standard with Evertune?
Yeah! You just want to use that string calculator on the website to see which gauge will let you tune to it
@@TylerRossow should a low tuning like that work with the standard tension? I plan on getting my first Evertune LTD TE 1000
@@Alex.Geurink I play in Drop B on a standard tension just fine so it should. The calculator tells you if it works on standard or not too I think
@@TylerRossow yeah it says most the string gauges work for a pack I have except for 2… so idk how that will affect it? I’ve read that Evertune isn’t meant to go lower than d standard and that makes me sad cause my band plays in c standard and I want one so bad
First hour i tuned and tried to intonate my evertune the bottom string broke before i even got to the intonating. I know all the zones and everything. I did everything all the tutorials said, and these were even by the makers of evertune and guys on here who knew there stuff. So now i have to order strings. I'm hoping it was just a fluke.
That sucks! What were you tuning it to and what gauge string?
@@TylerRossow I just got the guitar a month ago, It's a 7-string ESP, so the string gauge was factory, 10-59 gauge. All I did was Tune it down a step from B to A. Then pop lol
I refuse to route a hole in my bridge area for and evertune bridge on my Gibson SG. Put a tusk nut on it. Stretch the strings real good and your tuning well at least mine stays pretty dam good.
1:40 Why did this dude buy a guitar from a specialty gourmet food distributor?
Hahaha I love a good Google read 😂
Google read?
Yuck!!
Double locking Floyd hasn’t let me down
I just have 3 guitars for live jobs
one drop and one backup but I might break a high E or G twice a year if that
That’s put me off evertune - I prefer simple tune 👍
These bridges rule. More playing, no tuning.
Yeah I’m still obsessed with mine
maaaan...them teef....lol....good video though
😂🤷🏻♂️
Angus Young gets through entire sets without ever switching guitars, a tuned one.
I don't understand the problem?
I have les pauls. I never have a problem with the dreaded g string.
My guitar stays well enough in tune. Most ppl wouldn't even know a guitar was out of tune until it's like way out.
Doesn't this kinda take the fun out of playing?
I understand there's a market for super perfect everything.
As a perfectionist, i understand the urge to want to do this, but literally only you and a couple thousand ppl will notice. More will say they can hear the difference. They can't.
If you can't tune a guitar to pitch by ear, then you simply won't even come close to noticing the difference.
You gotta do indiana jones Style Pulls and Twists to get you guitar to bend like you're entering some hidden chamber.
I don't know? Maybe I'm being a grumpy old man?
There is nothing wrong with your opinion. Evertune is mostly for the folks who want to either record in a studio with no pitch drift (can be heard especially on low tunings) or someone who plays very aggressively (heavy string pressers), which in my opinion is a lack of technique itself. Also it can be really useful for the folks who are touring a lot with a different weather and humidity conditions. Evertune doesn't care if there is 10% humidity or 99%. For Angus Young there are plethora of roadies who make sure that his SGs stay in tune always.
So it is just a matter of convenience for some folks.
All this set up and cost when you could just spend 5 minutes and tune your guitar 🤷♂️
It’s absolutely worth it
@@TylerRossow probably is for some tbh, I don't think I'd like not being able to change tuning on a whim or the change in bending responsiveness even if its ever so slight. for 300 dollar in my pocket I will always tune my guitars XD
I hate the concept. Like, we all agree autotune was bad for singing right? Let my guitar go out of tune. I like tuning
i mean a lot of people like auto tune in rap. and i prefer a guitar that stays in tune for as long as possible and most people probably do. however still want to be able to bend and change open tuning easily
