    Your comment about the Holly and Alexa was funny. Our birds did the same (two McCaws) so we had to disconnect as well. They were always saying "Alexa...play". That could take us in to really weard places, so we disconnected as well. Really like the use of scraps for beads. So glad I kept so many of those old book page edges. Perfect for this.

    This came at just the right time for me. I needed an idea for a guy journal. These are fantastic. Great way of using all those small strips of paper. It becomes a great very cost effective way to have fun with those tiny stamps as well. I will be using this idea for sure. Thank you for all the paper sharing you give us. You sweet voice and positive attitude is so up lifting.

    My Aunt Margaret gave me a necklace made of paper beads when I was a young girl.. I’m 57 now and the beads look as good as the day they were made! I’ll ask her what kind of glue they used! Wow! That’s been at least 50 years! 🤔😱😍 The ladies of her church made them for a fundraiser.. they used old church programs. Beautiful! 🕊

    Hello Pam!
    Love the paper beads it brings me back to when my kids were in Elementary school and we made them for a craft fair. How fun!
    I did stamp on them back then but I love the look of the stamped beads, thanks for sharing this. I used to live in a gated community where I had HOA and some days I miss it and then others I don't. I don't miss cleaning a 3,400 sq ft home, Lol! But I do miss Florida I have 3 years and my husband can retire and I'm going back, I don't care if I have to live on the beach in a tent. Well happy Monday and I hope you have a fabulous week, take care!

    I have a bunch of paper beads I use to make out of newspaper and magazines. The coolest paper beads come from the funnies in Sunday’s newspaper. You can also use clear nail polish to lacquer them. The way I learned to make them was to cut the paper into long triangles. Now I know what to do with the jar of paper beads I made and saved 10 years ago

    My great grandmother made beads 50 years ago. She used magazine pages and cut then wide at one end and tapered down to almost a point on the other. Start rolling at the wide end, glue to pointed end. Your beads end up nicely tapered. I still have some of her beads.

  • @ldyjewell
    @ldyjewell 3 роки тому

    Love the peg stamp rolling idea. I use metal markers to faux gild my ends rather than inking. I like to use a cheap glue stick to run down the middle so it stays rolled, then a strong glue on the last inch or two. Also can roll a wide bead, then use the last 2 inches to glue a thinner strip and continue rolling with a different color paper. Or use a color paper and a book page or map strip. I’d edge the second strip before attaching it so you don’t recolor the base trying to do it after it’s rolled.
    Separate note: if you don’t have waxed thread or beeswax to wax your own, you can make your own ‘needle’ on any fiber using nail polish 💅.

    These are great Pam. I see another Chunky Monkey journal in the making. Maybe someday I'll get one or make one. Thanks for sharing your day with us. Don't know if you know, but I don't understand why UA-cam won't let Camille make any comments on the videos she loves so much. I've never seen anything bad in the least in any of her comments. I pray that you and yours are all doing well. Take care and God bless you and yours. Sincerely Becky B from Arkansas
