no blastoise is still a fine defender and the ult is great
No, because Blastoise can stun for whole 4 seconds, if you use surf and hydro pump in a row. Only water spout needs a buff.
The only thing I would buff is water spout

Not surf pump, the damage nerfs are manageable and the stun is only 0,4s less out of like from 2-3s or 3-4s??
Water spout is actually terrible now so i’d definitely rebuff that. Maybe nerf Rapid spin+ a LITTLE if they don’t like the turtle constantly spinning on enemies’ graves lol
This is a Lapras situation all over again, people think that if its not broken then it sucks, both of them have unite moves that are game defining, displacement that crushes whole teams, crazy damage with the right items, its just hard to play into Ttar right now.
This! Like this mon is still very good the issue is Ttar just melts thru many tanks health

Man those nerfs practically killed blastoise. I say buff water spout that random ass damage nerf was so fucking unnecessary
Hydro Pump and Surf are still great. Water Spout is bad now but nothing stops people from playing the tank build

How did they "Killed" blastoise?. They nerfed the problem. Although the spout nerf was uncalled.

To be fair, blastoise was the better mon at the time of the patch. Though both shouldve been nerfed and trev still needs nerfs. But the point is, blast needed nerfs more than trev, even if trev also needs them very badly now.
They actually buffed trevenant lol, developers are a bunch of trolls.. 😂😂

Literally blastoise is very good with hydro pump and surf, just cause it has a low win rate doesn’t mean using it is now trolling, like it still counters basically all of the all arounders and mostly the speedsters too
Low Win Rate is a result of Blastoise being Meta, Players that aren't particularly good used it but struggle to win now that it requires more thought.
i think blatoise has the lowest defender wr because tiranitar, it just can,t do anything against godzilla
Blastoise was never the tankiest defender and was majorly dependand on his extra damage that often killed opponents before killing him. Even in this game despite playing well, all opponents survived in Ray fight and killed blastoise. Luckily mimey managed to secure ray here but else it would have been loss.

he's right. Blastoise gets a shield on surf. TTAR hard counters it with true damage and it's AOE damage. Blastoise doesn't have any ability or passive for self sustain. So surfing in or unite~eject will only get him ko'd even easier.
Nope; its still good. Im still on spinstoise but i run xatk; insence; stack specs; it doesnt dmg like it used to but its just a low A tier mon; whereas tree and umbreon are s tier

Nah, this is pure skill issue. Blastoise is still very good. It still stuns a lot, the damage on hydro surf is still good, and the unite is still ridiculous. Spout Spin maybe was overnerfed, but that set needs a rework, not a damage buff, to act more defender like instead of the ridiculous damage dealer it was.
It's early game is still ridiculously terrible. Especially with teammates who can't help u early game it becomes difficult to evolve and even when it evolves the lvl gap is just too big.

I've been playing pump surf this season and am still 70%+ WR in 1500+ masters right now. Honestly it's still a great build, but my damage numbers are no where near the same as when I was rapid spout from before the nerf. It's ok, because my entire goal during games is find a way to control the fight with engages and keeping melees off my squishies.

What was the nerfs again? They shouldve just nerfed the damage output and nothing else.
Damage of hydro pump and the stun time. The problem is that water spout also got nerfed

it was literally a stun machine, there's no way the stun time on hydro pump should've been left alone

If someone ever played cynthia solo event, s/he can easily know how Blastoise is good at driving opponent crazy. I think surf build is still in the top3 CC defender build.
Total skill issue, most blastoise players I play with have no idea how their character works and ult 1v5 30 seconds before ray fight and are never with the team.
Meanwhile, Ttar and Leafeon just run around unchecked.

Idk but I feel that it’s wr is low because so many ppl played it didn’t actually know how to use blast so well. What I mean by this is they only played him because he did crazy damage but not actually like a tank from time to time. He still does fine and I have had plentiful of success playing this mon it just requires to actually know when to go in/ defending your team and goals.
I still think surf hydro Blastoise is solid. Blastoise was one of my most played even before the evolution buff, so I might be biased, but I think Blastoise is still a strong enough character to win matches with (right now I'm around 13-3 with Blastoise in ranked this season). Mainly. Because I think surf is still really good. I think it's the best of that kind of shove/dive move (like between trev, mew, Blaziken, etc.). Definitely much worse than before, there's not much reason to use Blastoise over trevenant, buuut, I don't think Blastoise is bad at all
Tree should get the same treatment coming from other moba see dev gave one pokemon 3 stun+ pushing on top of decent dmg in one pokemon still amaze me
Timi are useless, they don't know how to buff or nerf any Mon so they can be balanced, it's always on either end of the spectrum
I am leaving this game bcz I was playing double stacking trev and my lane ninja didn't even give me one bunlbee and torchic with comfey do stacks in front of me and I didn't play the game seriously and still got the highest damage and ninja had 22k damage
I don’t see enough people playing Hydro/Spin. The burst is crazy, you just have to be more patient to maximize it
I think blastoise is still good though not as the dead tree or the developers favourite cute Pokemons
Surf and hydropump is strong as it always been the unite move is still game changing
My theory about the low winrate is that people are playing water spout and rapid spin which is worse build rn
I remember that it was one of my carry builds but now it doesn't do any damage and makes the early game too difficult because water spout generally is a useless move and you'd struggle to get to lvl7 with water spout
I never like that they nerfed this build that was supposed to be a damage type build but I'm still happy that blastoise got the nerf that it deserves

Trevanat and umbreon exists, so yeah playing Blastoise instead of them is definitely trolling with your win chances 😂😂

Idk but I just don't know how to play against zacian like I have defeated fallinks t tar and ceruledge but I just get defeated whenever there is a zacian in the opponent
I mean if you are playing against metal claw zacian i believe it can stop projectiles attacks or smth
But its not tanky and when it uses sacred sword it makes itself vulnerable
Not that much of a issue compared to ttar and falinks

Nerfing its early game was stupid.... it feels worse than T tar early game. Why nerf Blastoise and keep trev broken early , mid and late game???? Dev really are confusing
