- WHEN HAVE I EVER BEEN ABLE TO JUST UPLOAD A THEORY EASILY YOU ASK? NEVER. My laptop killed itself so I had no laptop until last night and I made this in a day and i'm sick and dying and here you go. I hope there are no mistakes to be real with you all (I ALREADY KNOW THERE IS ONE FK). But at least this Theory Thursday is on time. In fact, it's early for you guys. We think that chronologically, Young Forever is the last thing that happens, where they leave behind their memories, but there's a twist: In Demian there is a concept of growing up. The main protagonist, Sinclair, said that growing up is like walking through a maze looking for the exit. It may take a while and it will be very hard and tiring at times, but it is all part of growing up. And now there's the thing: Sinclair said that after leaving the maze you leave behind all the bad memories and the mess in your head, but you first have to find the right way. We see the boys leaving the maze together, meaning that they all chose the same path. Now, in our theory this is impossible (Jin, V and JK dead) so they didn't choose the right way and instead chose to walk together, meaning they don't actually grow up and therefore sTAY YOUNG FOREVER

Theories aside, I feel the song is a great representation of their feelings working in the kpop industry. Giving up a normal life for performing on stage, and being scared of what's going to happen after they become to old to be an idol, and get cast aside by society.

Becoming kpop idols is a risk, their life's really are on the line.

In Korea, the competition for jobs is harsh, if you don't have a proper education after highschool, getting a good job is hard. But starting an education when you're in your 30's isn't seen as normal either, and will be judged upon.

With the static old tech, I think it showd how they're not in sync with the outside world. Its just them together and seems to always be. But when the images finally show, it's only images of them because they're getting a glimpse of the world, THEIR world. Or what used to be their world (symbolised by old tech)

This by far has to be one of the most beautiful stories I've ever gotten to see and be a part of and I truly feel as a member of the army we all have been apart of this. such a meaningful closing to an amazing chapter honestly. I'm in aw at this point. This has been such a road and journey and it's honestly something that everyday of my life I feel I'm apart of and traveling down it myself so this touches home so hard. I think that, what they each said, the lyrics from this song, plus your theories from the MV's from Run, I Need U, Young Forever and the Prologue make perfect sense!!! Plus I think the message "Dream, Hope, Keep Going" pertains to

But with that statement I have come to accept that it is a part of my life, even though the picture it paints was painful, it has given me a powerful lesson I'd never forget. Ally!! I just wanted your opinion on this theory that has been going around. Okay so, the theory is that all the other members are dead and Namjoon represents a grin reaper like figure. One of the many reasons is because he has always been the more calm one through the whole situation, and didn't really do anything bad in the whole little series. Also, in young forever you rarely see his face (only see It twice throughout the whole thing) and he doesn't get any flashbacks of his own. I could go into more detail if you like, but this is just a brief summary of what the theory actually is. I would love to hear your opinion about it ^.^

But anyway I like that theory, the issue with it is Namjoon and Taehyung have a special bond and always stick together, so I doubt the grim reaper would pick a best friend haha. If anything i'd rather see Namjoon as an angel because he's always looking out for Taehyung. If the theory says all the members are dead then it doesn't really make sense for Namjoon and Taehyung to have the bond, or the other boys to all have a bond for that matter. Namjoon is also naturally calmer in situations in real life because he's the leader, so I fee like their characters in the music videos are versions of who they are in real life too. I also think Namjoon gets no flashbacks because you're right, he hasn't done anything that bad. He's the one who's been neutral, he hasn't killed his father, he didn't attempt suicide or anything. Hence why he's the first to accept the past actions and didn't think about it, because he doesn't regret anything. It's like.. it starts with Namjoon who's done nothing, and ends with Taehyung who did the worst thing.

+Justt Ally Well, my friend was telling me about it and we kinda out our own thoughts into it, but I do think she did get it from Tae Tae Town.Ive only had time to read about 1/4 of Tae Tae Town's theory so I wouldn't know, but it fits what my friend said. Oh, but thank you for answering!! I do like the idea of Namjoon being like a guardian angel since he does seen to fit the role throughout the series. But if he did fit into either role, I would think that the bond the members have with each out just reflect the bonds they had when they were alive. The bonds could also represent that even if they do die, all their memories together will still be with them (like if they go to heaven or somewhere like that). And the memories could be some of the last things they saw before they died (like when people say their life flashed before their eyes). +Mavis Kang Heey I've read taetaetown's theories and I like her theories! I think her Peter Pan theory is more of a theme they're using, and I really don't think the others are dead though, like at all. As for the Anohana theory, I think it's also a theme, however it also supports my theory that Jin is dead. Other people have told me about this anime and linked it after I said Jin is dead (some before she posted and some after) so I knew about this anime for a while now! But yeah considering the story of the anime, it really does support my theory that Jin is dead. That's ultimately my theory for now, that Jin is dead and the others are alive trying to deal with the death as they grow up, dealing with issues of youth, and I think the anime Anohana is simply a theme to support the story line.
But I do I like it and I think it's really cool that she posted that theory even though before she was saying the boys were dead except Jin. So yeah feel free to let taetaetown know I think she's really cool and I frequently like to read her tumblr haha ^_^ x

When I was studying Macbeth in English, there was a part where Macbeth said that life was nothing more then a stage where people come and go, live and die. Some performances last longer than others and some tend to stay in your mind while others fade away. Knowing this, you would want to make your life as meaningful as possible. Regardless of the good or bad that happens. This would be what I consider the most beautiful moments in life. So when I listened to Rap Mon's, Suga's and J-Hope's raps, I couldn't help but think of this in the back of my mind. They're talking about their lives onstage, but it can also be a metaphor for life in general. That's just my opinion tho......

I found interesting how the maze it's not like "conventional mazes" made of bushes or walls so you can't find the exist easily, so in this case they are able to see his soroundings, and even see how the others are coping with escaping it, although they don't help each other to escape (because each of them goes his own pace) but they are aware of the struggles of the others.

I personally believe there is no complex storyline and there is no tragedy. Rather, the three music videos and additional short movies belong to one general and simple concept: youth.
I NEED U depicts the "happiness within sadness [and RUN] the sadness within happiness," (Jungkook, [Episode] 방탄소년단 'RUN' MV shooting 0:23~0:32). The 화양연화 on stage prolgue was the beauty of youth despite the underlying presence of sadness. Meanwhile Epilogue : Young Forever depicts the epilogue of youth as a 'maze of life' one exits upon entering adulthood and, consequently, a new part of life. All other symbolistic features (flower petals burning, members missing, messages etc.) were supposed to be taken with a grain of salt and were actually (very) exaggerated representations of the adversities of youth such as loneliness, feeling lost, grief, confliction, etc.
BTS have said themselves that they make music with the intention of sharing the youth they have experienced and continue to experience 'till this day, so that listeners can relate and connect with it. They work to create music so that fans and listeners alike can rely on them, and so that youth may find solace within youth itself.

I think they al died young to be young forever in the afterlife. They died in order as you can see in the mv. First namjoon then jin after that suga. In the prologue jin held a picture that he atually made with suga but suga was invisible because jin died first. And also Suga burned the pictures to forget the past and begin a new life. After suga was jungkook, j-hope, jimin and he was still wet. The last one was V. You can see in the mv that everyone were looking at him because he joined a little bit late. Also the maze symbolize that they had to find their way out from all the hardships. They all died to begin a new life without problems. So the airplane symbolize freedom. Its like a ticket to heaven. Also this mv has a strong message. The meaning behind this is about working hard to achieve our dreams and not to give up our hope. We need to keep going no matter what happens and not to end like they did.

Holy...wow. I always thought it was interesting how BTS would make mv's for songs like Dope and Fire which were more poppy and energetic alongside mv's for songs like I Need You and Run which were more emotional and consumed by fan theories as fans became detectives in figuring out the hidden meanings behind the lyrics and videos, and you just made sense out of all of it! While songs like Dope and Fire SEEMED like they were disconnected from the more emotional songs on their same albums, they were really just pieces of the story. BTS may have been sending us double meanings in their lyrics and videos all along.
For example, Dope talks about how when people go out to the club, the boys were working hard and rehearsing and strengthening all their musical and performing skills, but what if this video ALSO is part of the BTS Music Video world that you have mentioned and for me have coined? What if the song wasn't just meant to be a fun song that talks about their hard work, but also was a place holder to display this BTS MV world? It shows the boys bond as a whole which then just continues on with the story. You even linked parts of Fire to show that V is stealing the girl from Jin that we see in other music videos (again linking together a BTS MV world) and now this theory video you made helps answer my original wonder even more.
All this time I thought that Young Forever was just another beautiful song and MV made by the boys that went away from the fan theories and had nothing to do with the emotional story of I Need You and Run, but you proved me wrong. this is about their youth, which they have explained in past interviews of there run MV. this song is about the fact that they are growing up and getting older and that their game and youth will eventually run out. and they are choosing be and live young and do what the love no matter how old they are

I also read somewhere that no one died in the MV's and that at the end of it they were just things they've done in life, in their youth. in forever young they just re-think their actions and how they were together after that they accept the things they did when they were younger and move on to adulthood, but still they will hold their past with them forever.
