Anderson .Paak - Malibu 8. Noname - Telefone 9. Run the Jewels - RTJ3 (it's too recent to put it any further up but it's fire) 10. Death Grips - Bottomless Pit
The point of Wriggle was to put out a project that is more normal to the clipping fan, and they were having fun, so as they had written this stuff, and recorded, they wanted to release it. Splendor & Misery is a Totally different animal though. They are both brilliant, but really they could have very different fan circles.
BIMMOM fuck yeah, that's my favourite rap album of the year, and I don't listen to that many other genres besides rap, but it's up there for my album of the year, not sure tho, it's between Blank Face & Awaken my love. Plus I still need to listen to Blonde lol
I barely noticed onry ozzborn sadistik and atmosphere. Bruh we got the same taste. ATCQ still the best album this year. Imperial by Denzel Curry was definitely the surprise of the year for me
The best part about doing Best Of The Year lists are all the comments from people shocked that no one read their list. Happens every year. You'd think, by now, you guys would kinda get the picture. But nope...
The only thing that kinda annoys me with these lists are that some projects weren't reviewed during the year, if someone thought it was good enough to put on a year end list it should of perhaps been reviewed
Johnny Kearey That's a valid complaint. Although we've said 100 times we can't review everything. And that has absolutely nothing to do with the quality of the project. It has to do with time. But all the shit on my list was either reviewed on the show or on my personal channel.
I agree with AFK - Still Brazy literally took you and placed you in the west coast! As someone from the UK I felt like I was right there in LA throughout the whole album G! And that's what I expect from a top album - to engage the listener fully throughout the journey of the project, and whatever time I put it on! I think YG (and schoolboy Q) accomplished this better than lets say KA for instance where I just lost focus. Still great work as always guys -appreciate y'all!

Romy Taylor Suns Tirade is overrated IMO, it drags on really long and gets boring, I love 80% of Blank Face but the rest is filler and drags the project down for me, and DWTW was closest to it but had a couple tracks with lacklustre production and 1 or 2 songs with kinda corny lyrics. I personally think UU is the best album TDE dropped this year, I know a lot of people put it down for being just demos but call it what you want, I still think it's amazing music
My top 10 this year: 1. Blank Face LP - Schoolboy Q 2. Still Brazy - YG 3. 1992 - The Game 4. Lead Poison - Elzhi 5. We Got it From Here...Thank You for Your Service - A Tribe Called Quest 6. LennyKing OFFICIAL I heard it a month after it dropped because people were saying it was trash but I loved it. It fell off toward the end but Psycho, Strive, and Beautiful people were good enough to get it in my top 10. I liked it more than Cozy Tapes too.

Damien Figueroa Run the Jewels, Danny Brown, ATCQ, Elzi, Clipping, Ab-Soul, Aesop Rock, Atmosphere, Death Grips, Oddisee, Royce, Isaiah Rashad, there was plenty of good
Why was injury reserve in your list? From what I heard it's just the rawness that's good. I haven't heard much of lyrics or message. Doesn't mean it still can't be dope without those. Btw I know Fantano loved this shit
1. Denzel curry- imperial 2. Isaiah Rashad- the sun's tirade 3. Schoolboy Q- blank face LP 4. Kendrick Lamar- Untitled Unmastered 5. Ab-soul- Do what thou wilt. Y'all know this is just my opinion, right?
Atcq album was flawless. Flawless, hands down. I mean it gets better every single time you listen to it. I think the guys that didn't give it the respect are disrespecting the genre
1. Injury Reserve - Floss 2. Danny Brown - Atrocity Exhibition 3. Ab Soul - Do What Thou Wilt 4. Tribe Called Quest - Thank You For Your Service... 5. Joey Purp - iiiDrops 6. Dumbfoundead - We Might Die 7. Nyck Caution - Disguise The Limit 8. Noname - Telephone 9. Rob $tone - Almost Ready 10. +yankeesrule09 Thanks my dude!!! A lot of underground acts made my list this year. I was listening to a lot of new faces with a few exceptions of course. Honestly I was gravitating more so of a combination of a Feefo and a bit of Myke. So shit that bumped, but also had a weird eclectic edge to it as well.
Drevon mcAllister ShutYoMouth I gotta be honest I thought it was a bit disappointing. I would give it a light 8, which is still good, but I was expecting something extremely good. I just thought some tracks were boring and it didn't seem like the percussion was hard hitting enough. On RTJ2, the banger beats hit harder overall.
Tom Smith That's exactly how I felt right away, try giving it a few more listens, it grew on me a lot. It's a decent amount different than 2 and possibly better to me now after like 7 listens.
My list no order The Game - 1992 Giggs - The Landlord Kano - Made In The Manor Dave - Six Paths Isaiah Rashad - The Sun's Tirade Denzel Curry - Imperial Flatbush Zombies - 3001 Space Odessy Schoolboy Q - Blank Face Bugzy Malone - Facing Time Cozz - Nothing Personal
Olumide Sobodu grime is not a subgenre of hip hop, hip hop and grime both came from Jamacian dub music but evolved differently, so they are cousin genres in a way. but grime pulls so heavily from UK garage, drum n Bass, Dubstep, ragga, trust me not a subgenre. grime is its own genre

BLVCK LORD Same. I need some new artists for 2017 maybe. All the people Ive been waiting to drop something did this year. Earl,Joey,Kendrick,SZA, and Goldlink are the only people I am anticipating to drop something in 2017 but that feels too few.
Pure Bafoonery Yeah, I think ATCQ's album was really good, but it's not something I'm gonna return to often. If this was a few years ago when I was super into alternative and jazz rap (especially ATCQ), I'd probably have a different response.
If you watched the review, Ken felt a little underwhelmed by it, Myke liked it but had some issues with it, Beezy thought it was alright, and Feefo liked it.
TotalyKill I actually didn't really like the skits, threw the album off for me honestly. It just seemed like it was trying to explain something with little depth
10. YG - Still Brazy 9. Run The Jewels - RTJ3 8. Isaiah Rashad - The Sun's Tirade 7. Elzhi - Lead Poison 6. Skyzoo & Apollo Brown - The Easy Truth 5. Danny Brown - Atrocity Exhibition 4. I get it's dead end "hip hop". But you guys didn't have to just do your top 10 hip hop albums I wouldn't care if you just did your favorite albums list (no genre exclusion). Unless you guys are doing a separate list because a lot of good soul/r&b albums came out this year. Tbh my top two aren't even rap albums and I mostly listen to rap, that's how good I though the other genres were.
eyyodc nah I disagree. Especially for Myke, he listens to so much metal and stuff like that it would be completely unrelated from the content on this channel
Nick Flinstone so? Even though Myke did a hip hop list there are still people I won't listen to on there. He just has a different taste than me period. And because he does have a different taste I still would've liked to hear a list that wasnt constrained by genre. And I'm not even talking about him especially since he is already doing another list. I'm just saying like in the instance of ken. They also reviewed other genres besides hip hop so by excluding them even though they reviewed them was disappointing. Like they did frank and gambino and I would've liked to know where they would put those on a list but because it's hip hop I'll never know. Which I was just disappointed by. No harm, I just don't know why they limited themeselves to hip hop even though they didn't for their reviews.
eyyodc I feel u. I think they should just make a separate video for all other genres. I'd be interested in that, but I still would prefer to have the hip hop separate because that's what I come to this channel for. I am curious to see Ken's list outside of rap and I have no clue what type of music Feefo likes outside of hip hop besides The Weeknd. So I agree I would like to hear it, but just on a separate video so I still get my hip hop fix lol
Really shocked Feefo didn't spotlight J. Cole's new album. I wasn't into it but it seemed to really speak to him. It's not really "whip" music, so maybe that's a problem with the most played measure.
just woke up and was getting prepared for my 8 hour trek to Denver and noticed this. love the list as always, the varying opinions are great and seeing how they compare to mine. have a great new years guys, i know i will!
So happy to see this channel grow from strength to strength, love everything y'all put out and been watching for years. Can't wait to see what this channel does in 2017.

Splendor & Misery is a Totally different animal though. They are both brilliant, but really they could have very different fan circles.

Very disappointed that only 1 of you guys had ATCQ's album on your lists. Especially Myke,
Sharukh Saleem for real !
And how could Myke "forget Tribe this year" if it came out in mid-November....
Sharukh Saleem easily one of the aoty !
WORD!
Atcq album was flawless. Flawless, hands down. I mean it gets better every single time you listen to it. I think the guys that didn't give it the respect are disrespecting the genre
Not hating but y'all missed Myke's #8 in the vid haha
Tom Smith hahah
Tom Smith hey, its annotated now and he put in up on his twitter. it was sadistik with the salo sessions!
Zane Fox oh ok I'll check twitter
AHAHA just noticed
Don't know half the albums myke named. And feefo had that trash ass future in his 10 good lord
Primetime Sanders How is it trash? It's HIS top ten list
Ish Ngobi cool I said that album was trash. He can have it in his list if he wants that shit was still trash
Ish Ngobi
A$AP Mob compilation was trash too. He can have his opinions and I can have mine boy

Tha Swami Extra respect for having Dumbfoundead and Injury Reserve's album those were crazy
Tha Swami nice list
Bossun7 Preciate it!!!
still waiting on the floss review
I know it just dropped, but run the jewels arguably had the album of the year
Drevon mcAllister ShutYoMouth I gotta be honest I thought it was a bit disappointing. I would give it a light 8, which is still good, but I was expecting something extremely good. I just thought some tracks were boring and it didn't seem like the percussion was hard hitting enough. On RTJ2, the banger beats hit harder overall.
Drevon mcAllister Either Childish Gambino, KAYTRANADA, Frank Ocean, or Danny Brown was the best in my opinion
+J. Grewal 2015 was better IMO
I agree. great albums this year, but 2015 had REALLY good ones
Tom Smith That's exactly how I felt right away, try giving it a few more listens, it grew on me a lot. It's a decent amount different than 2 and possibly better to me now after like 7 listens.
"A seat At The Table" by Solange isn't HipHop, but best album of the year I personally think
fr Mad ft. weezy deserves some sort award

Keyser Soeze grime is a subgenre of hip hop
Olumide Sobodu grime is not a subgenre of hip hop, hip hop and grime both came from Jamacian dub music but evolved differently, so they are cousin genres in a way. but grime pulls so heavily from UK garage, drum n Bass, Dubstep, ragga, trust me not a subgenre. grime is its own genre

Run The Jewels fucked everyone's list up... and for that I thank them.
I just noticed Myke said that Tribe was perfect but didnt even put it on his list. I guess its just on replayability but still seems weird
Pure Bafoonery Yeah, I think ATCQ's album was really good, but it's not something I'm gonna return to often. If this was a few years ago when I was super into alternative and jazz rap (especially ATCQ), I'd probably have a different response.
surprised the healing component or still brazy didn't make a list
Alec Ashby Still Brazy underrated
If you watched the review, Ken felt a little underwhelmed by it, Myke liked it but had some issues with it, Beezy thought it was alright, and Feefo liked it.
dude, finally someone mentions the healing component, its honestly so good, even the skits r worth listening too, heard it recently and love it
TotalyKill Wasn't amazed by it at first listen. Second listen, I loved it all the way through that it made its way into my top ten.
TotalyKill I actually didn't really like the skits, threw the album off for me honestly. It just seemed like it was trying to explain something with little depth

^^^ My top 5 this year.
Myke and B are doing a separate list on their solo channels. I don't know about Ken and Feefo tho
I second this, I watch this channel primarily for hip hop talk so that's what I'd like to see
Blank Face, Do What Thou Wilt, and The Sun's Tirade shows how much talent TDE has.
Really shocked Feefo didn't spotlight J. Cole's new album. I wasn't into it but it seemed to really speak to him. It's not really "whip" music, so maybe that's a problem with the most played measure.
Pearcey80 it was also bad and half assed
Pearcey80 I was thinking the same thing.
.
again as I said, I didn't think it was a good album but watch their review of it and it sounds like it really resonated with Feefo.
just woke up and was getting prepared for my 8 hour trek to Denver and noticed this. love the list as always, the varying opinions are great and seeing how they compare to mine. have a great new years guys, i know i will!
Beezy's list was like the Detroit all star team lol
So happy to see this channel grow from strength to strength, love everything y'all put out and been watching for years. Can't wait to see what this channel does in 2017.
