CBS Evening News 2022 - Closing theme

- What it says on the tin, produced by AntFood and rearranged from the Trivers/Myers 1987 soundtrack, the CBS Evening News theme is actually split into small components recorded by a royalty free orchestra in Europe, enabling different themes to be made and cut together from a list of parts. Heard here are 7 of them cut around the vamp.
This sampling methodology is how CBS managed to tighten/add pace to their headline sequences at the start of the broadcast.
Some things to note: this isn't a 'remix' - it's a new performance and arrangement. Trivers/Myers did guide AntFood on it, which is why the short melody is there in the final composition - the 1991 music by Patterson, Walz and Fox was also co-written by Trivers/Myers and one of their additions was the melodic callback at the end which survives.
All of us news theme nerds in the comments lol
Duhn duhn duhn duhn duhn duhnnnnnnnnn so heroic!!!
What is the timing (mins and secs) in the video to which your comment relates?
As someone who grew up with Mr. Rather and the thunderous theme during his tenure, that there SUCKS to the high heavens
Love that change at :59
Norah is pretty and quite slim.
CBS now has the best news sounders surpassing NBC which had traditionally had the best.
The way the closing ends is awful, so abrupt and not graceful at all.
😂😂😂😂
Isn’t this opening as well?
Yes
Norah o donnell
Can you please do The titles and Intro theme too? Thanks.

@@kelvindeanThanks
@@kelvindean 0059 is actually one part of the longer closing - as I outline in the description these are different clips they cut together to make the tracks used in the broadcast (so in theory they can thread them all together for a 'new' piece of music - though swapping the lead in part of the leitmotif with the resolve doesn't sound right - I tried!
