Dealer wanted around $500 parts and labor to replace this. With the help of your easy to follow video, I found a cheap Chinese part(chancing it) and did it myself. Total cost: $25 and about an hour of my time. THANK YOU!
Just came across your video. I have a 2008 yaris and the horn doesn't work. Checked and replaced fuse. Didn't work. Replaced horn. Didn't work. When pressing the horn you can here the relay click. Would you say my problem is somewhere in the wiring from the fuse/relay to the horn or could it be this? Given there is a click so it is getting something when the wheel is pressed? Thanks in advance, pulling my hair out here.
Hi there. My Yaris car horn isn’t working any more. Toyota says I need a spiral cable costing $420 + $160 for labor. Will this cable really fix my car horn and get it to honk again?
It's hard to say for sure because there could be other problems. Spiral cables being bad do cause the horn to not work though. My daily driver horn doesn't work because it needs a spiral cable right now
I have one question!!! I had to fix my EPS system and thus, had to remove the clock spring but now my horn is no longer working after the fix, I’ve no idea what to do as I’ve checked the wiring.... any idea of what happened? :(

Thanks for the help! I just changed mine out and the airbag light went off. Problem fixed just as shown on my 2007 yaris. You are a hero.
Does the 2009 yaris clock spring fit on the 2007 yaris??
Thanks for posting this. The clam shell in my car doesn't have any screws, but followed the steps in your video and it went perfect. :-)

+carlos gomez Thank you!
Hi...so it looks you didn't need to reprogram the steering function...I read in some cars you have to after clock spring replacement
question, my t30 screw wont unscrew at all and im scared of breaking it. how do i deal with that
How long did this take to replace?
was your horn working before you replaced it?
On this car yes. But my 1998 jeep Cherokee at home needs the clock spring and the horn doesnt work on that car.
@@GEARMOAUTO after you replace the clock spring on your jeep, will your horn work then?
Good video! Thanks for mention the needed tools (Torx). Did you use a torquimeter to put back the steering wheel?
+LincolnSixEcho Thanks for the comment. Im not familiar with that name for the tool you mentioned but i did torque my bolts.
Gearmo Auto Sorry for the confusion. My question is if you used a torque wrench.
super
