I owned this truck in the early 2000s I bought it from the fellow who put the dump bed on it. It was bought new by Flowers tie company. Was supposed to be the first Pete in this part of missouri. I traded it for an r model. Last I knew it had made it's way back to the viburnum cherryville area
That is correct. It was passed around some. Then I ended up with it for awhile. I sold it to the farmer this young man bought it off of.
Looking at that truck the back Fox suspension is from a Freightliner roughly a 79 when Freightliner first came out with your new air ride

Looking at the photographs of that truck the rear suspension of that truck is out of a 79 Freightliner that was at freightliners first air ride suspension
Peterbilts first air ride they sold that air ride out to freightliner
I also remember this truck, really remember the sleeper, AMAZING TRUCK
The old gal definitely needs some work, but still solid enough to justify the effort and expense. Bet she was a runner in her time with a “shiny 290”….
