Thanks BF! You're keeping me in the sky!! Really great content and delivery. For anyone still struggling with getting IBUS working for the F4 PRO board, I can confirm that the RX6 (UART3) pin does work. I was in having real difficulty until I realised that the manufacturer had soldered a 4 pin socket on to the board where the 6 pin "J10" should be, totally leaving out RX6 and RX3 - anyone else get that? Anyway, just levered the socket clean off the board and soldered directly to the RX6 pad, got the 5V to power the receiver elsewhere on the board.

I can confirm this does work with the f4 from rtfquads. I have the non omnibus version, I used the uart 6. Thanks for making this

Do you have a video on how to set up ports with betaflight for the omnibus f4 pro? I'm having problems with it not responding to any stick input in the receiver tab.
But technically if I have OSD from the board then I really don't need the frsky telemetry right?
so with OMNIBUS F4 PRO V3 FLIGHT CONTROLLER WITH CURRENT SENSOR, OSD AND SMARTAUDIO do i get the voltage from pdb hooked to the flightboard or do i need to have x4r-sb wired up inverted like you show? what im trying to ask is if i dont have the smartport wired up on this board and just have power from pdb to it do i still get osd showing my voltage?

Have you noticed that on the black and white wiring diagrams where the M3 screw holes are shown in the corners they show M1 M2 M3 and M4. They got M3 and M4 switched around!!!! That can be quite confusing don't you think ?

I have a XSR-e and it has that J6 capacitor with 3 pads. Is this the same on all frsky receivesr... that J6 cap being inverted?
Any guidance about how to attach a Frsky X8r receiver to a Omnibus F4 ?
How many uarts are there, I would need one for sbus right? one for un-inverted x4r SB, and then one for the irc tramp or unify pro. Can i have all of these together or not. If so great but if not what fc would you recommend to do this. I would like an osd built in but i guess i can to use and external one as well. Thanks
I have the HyperLite F4 Flight Controller and cant figure out how to get (X4R-SB) telemetry working? The receiver works on betaflight and I can arm my quad...not sure whats going on?
Trying to connect D4R-II telemetry to Omnibus F4 Pro I assume I need to connect to the UN-inverted output on the D4R-II but I don't know where that is on the PCB. There are three possible places.

Got a question on the omnibus f4 got it flashed set up with my taranis after i calibrate the accelarometer on screen it's facing the right way but you roll the quad it yaws you yaw it pitches confuse can you help
I dont know what they have changed but I have done everything you describe here but it just dont work :( I can not get my reciever to work with the F4 pro and when I use my xm+ it works but my quad is just creasy start flying with out any input from me so I dont know what to do :( any idea¨s
I can't get the Taranis to move the bars on the receiver tab. I followed all the steps and have the Taranis bound to the x4r sb receiver. I have the F4 Pro. When I loose power to the quad the Taranis says telemetry lost. I have a green light on the x4r. Any idea why? Please help this is killing me.

can someone please tell me what the difference between the f4and the f4Pro is I have heard so many different assumptions it's ridiculous. I thought the only difference was that the F4 pro has a current sensor? so can the regular F4 not sense current. also the regular F4 has vbat I'm so confused what is the difference
Subs is uart1 too but inverted and the other one is not inverted.

Is uart1 the sbus connector?
I can see on the diagram that there is a tx1 and rx1 on a separate jst 4 pin connector.

The SpekSat port is also UART1, so there are 3 ways to access UART1, but as you say the SBUS through-hole is the only inverted one.
BTW I have the F4 Pro V3 (with smart audio) and there's a PPM/SBUS jumper next to the SBUS pin, so I guess you can use that pin without inversion also.
Please make this clear, because I am short on UARTS.
What I`v connected so far:
I have SBUS connected to SBUS pin (i think it shared with rx1)
I also have gps connected to UART6 (using both rx6 and tx6)
I also am availing UART3 as I am using SDA and SCL pins so UART3 is unavailable.
So were can I connect telemetry now ?
Can I use UART1 tx1 pin ? telemetry data should be transmitted from FC to receiver, am I right?
If so how should UART1 be set up in software?
I have this problem too,there are short of UARTS to add a BT/Telemetry device.Does anybody know how to solve ?

I made all like you but it dont work for me. Tried on UART3 and UART6 but Taranis cant find any sensors. Iam also using Omnibus F4 Pro, X4R-SB and latest BF 3.1 RC4. Any ideas?
All I can think of is recheck the settings in betaflight because sometimes the settings dont save. Also make sure the wire you soldered onto the X4R to get telemetry is on the correct diode.
I checked the hole night. I soldered a new cable, tried out different BF versions, created a new model in taranis, bind the x4r again and again... But i get no telemetry. Thats very frustrating.

i have an xm+ and the sbus pin got damaged and its not working anymore, how can i use other uart to connect my rx?

you have all these great videos can you please make a video showing how to flash betaflight on the very popular board the Omnibus f4pro. I've pressed the bootloader button and then plugged it in press flash it never flashes. yes there are plenty of people out there like me that have no idea how to flash a newer version of betaflight long to our board and would very very very greatly appreciate a video like this. you definitely just don't go too far more and click flash that doesn't work. and then to have 3.1.7 you need to download a hex file there are no video showing you how to do this and for people that are not great at computers like me I just won't do it and then to have 3.1.7 you need to download a hex file there are no video showing you how to do this and for people that are not great at computers like me I just won't do it unless there is a video I'm too scared to lock up my flight controller and not be able to fly by hitting one wrong button I'm flying right now but if it doesn't Flash and locks up I'll be grounded until I find a video to fix it

If you mean the voltage regulator getting hot, yes they all get on, on all the Omnibus FCs. But I've never had a voltage regulator burn out. Thats out of four F3 Omnibus, one F4 Omnibus, and one F4 Omibus Pro. But then again I'm not powering my camera or Vtx off the Omnibus. I power them separately. I believe that would burn them up.
They don't burn out, they have a build in overtemperature protection, if they get to hot, output voltage will drop to nothing
The MCU has an overtemperature protection or where is it on the board?
c i use jr radio and spektrum dsmx and dsm2. and its your radio wont even come close to freksy lol
So if using the Omnibus F4 Pro (eg, V3) watch this video (ua-cam.com/video/ZFVIbU4aJvo/v-deo.html, "FIXED: SBUS Not Working on a Omnibus F4 Pro V3 Flight Controller?" video on youtube).. You NEED to solder the very very TINY sbus and PPM jumpers that are near the SBUS/PPM/5V/GND lead that you solder the wire into the SBUS/PPM lead. If you do NOT solder the pins together on the board, the rest of this video is bunk and betaflight will NOT accept your stick input AT ALL.
