It's a good mpv, driving for 4.5 yes, very reliable no issues. Renault service and their dealership/service centers are pathetic though. They unnecessarily jack up the servicing cost north ok 15k for normal servicing.
Well after my test drive I found it to be quite impressive. Lodgy has great potential to beat other MPVs like innova, ertiga, evalia. XUV500 cannot be classified as an MPV at all, does it even offer this much space?
Mubin Khan XUV500 does not have that much space and looks wise i cannot say it is the best in this class. The rear seats and windows are not at par and luggage space is restricted. I think Lodgy is a better MPV, can tell you so because I own it now and have driven around a few kilometers and the space is its best offering.
Happy to see highways getting better all across the nation. Though at places contractors should be held accountable for bad sudden potholes. Imagine hitting deep pot hold with 7ppl and luggage in this car.

When the car is running at a high speed(80km/h) Still I'm able to open the door from inside. Which is biggest fault in the safety of the car. There is no door lock provided to prevent opening the car door at high speed. Is this a design fault ?
been driving for the last 9 years since 2015. never dissappointed with mileage. My 85ps engine gives a mileage upwards of 22 kmpl in mixed traffic. The best mileage achieved so far is 26kmpl truly the best for any MPV of 8 seater!! Only issues so far is with pathetic Renault service!!
The second row itself is cramped for people of 5'10" height like me due to the lack of sliding 2nd row. The 3rd row is terribly uncomfy and best for 3 kids. The front two seats are not even close to the supremely comfy seats of Suzuki Ertiga. (These are the most important aspects for an MPV.) It's got better quality and equipment over the tin-can Mobilio and rides and handles great and THAT'S IT! But the top end variant retails at 14L on-road. I don't think that the touch-screen unit, a bit bigger engine and a cruise-control system justifies the extra 3L rupees over the Ertiga ZDi. Although a well built Euro-looking MPV, the Lodgy isn't as comfy or as much value as the Japanese Ertiga. With proper adjustment of seats, the Ertiga can easily carry 7 adults is almost perfect comfort and also being easy on the pocket, offering most VFM. I'm hoping even better from the upcoming facelift Ertiga.
Oho have you even been in an Ertiga? atleast in the 3rd row? The Ertiga's 3rd row is by far the best under 20L...No one is comfy in those unsupportive 3rd row of the Lodgy. Dude, space and comfort is with respect to the size and height of the person and for me (5'11") and anyone taller than me it will be so cramped up and uncomfy in the 2nd and 3rd row of the Lodgy. Well, I didn't actually say that a bigger engine is a negative point. I am just saying that the Ertiga, although having just a small engine, produces immense torque and power to keep up with the bigger engined rivals and has the torque to pull 7 people even on slopes.

But when I adjusted the driver seat to my height, I just had only a few centimetres of space between my knees and the seat back in the 2nd row and the sales rep too agreed that this car needs a sliding 2nd row. I can show this to you by even taking a pic.

A small engine is useless when it comes to an MPV, immense torque or not. Cabin silence is yet another thing that lodgy offers that ertiga doesnt as much. The seats in the third row can completely removed in the lodgy making more space than in the ertiga which have a 60:40 thing and you have to fold them and put your luggage on them, not too good since not much can be put on them.
Naresh Khanna dude, I have been one among the most satisfied Ertiga owners since 2012 and trust me, Ertiga's 3rd row is much more comfy than that of the lodgy. Although the windows are small, there is good comfort and I myself and even my parents and grandparents have found the 3rd row seats to be very accommodating and have travelled hours long on highways. The trick is to adjust the middle row according to the passengers. The lodgy is normally cramped without even the option of adjusting the seats when there are no passengers in the third row. It's a tedious job to remove the 3rd rite every time and to store it somewhere at home. Also where would you store the 3rd row seats if you have to return from a long drive destination but have to carry big luggage while returning which wasn't there while going there? The Ertiga has a totally flat floor which is very easy to fold and retract. The new model provides 50:50 split seats for additional flexibility. The lodgy is similar to Ertiga in space, lesser than Ertiga in comfort and flexibility. Ok so you don't like small engines for big cars? Fine then what you would call the 1.0 ford ecoboost engine? It's a tiny sized engine for an suv of 11L. Turbocharging and power to weight ratio and torque is more important than engine size and vehicle size. The 1.3 engine is not the national engine without reason. It can be tuned upto 120bhp and 250Nm torque if needed and can smoke the innova and lodgy. Overall the Ertiga is a better package than the pricey Lodgy.
yes, ladder on frames are heavy... good start to the pitch but will the Lodgy will have the same driving dynamics as the Duster...? I don't think it'll be anywhere close... the space should be as much as Innova provides to be called "Simply Fantastic"... just my opinion... subjective preference... What a plane jane steering wheel... almost looks downmarket... especially with those weirdly placed music player controls... with the 110PS variant you'll suffer working the gearbox within our congested cities.... the slick shift helps only a tiny bit... revving all the way to 2000RPM isn't bothersome! Oh Please! Goes straight really well. Oh wow... lol Btw, Tata's have slashed the price for the Aria... the new one has a different clutch, claims a mileage >15kmpl, punches out a cool 150PS & best of all DOESN'T LAGGGG.... OR I'd wait for the VGT / VNT Innova... my guess of the setup they'll offer : 120bhp (no lag), 14kmpl, 3 Proper rows Airbags & ABS standard (Stronger A pillar) Better engine sound insulation & and better door insulation. Updated Dashboard & instrument cluster. & Thicker sheet metal (for whatever it counts)

I purchased Enjoy Petrol in sept 2013 from SC Auto Thane but in some parts are rusted severely under chassis and also in engine steering fluid pipes leaked due to corrosion and GM motors denied to replace it in warranty period. Is companies responsibility to use rustproof parts but GM is not using rustproof parts and cheating customers. Pl take note who are going for Chevrolet Vehicle Reply ·

As for the similar introduction as mentioned by you... all we can say is - look at the published date for the two videos and you will know who is the copy cat here! But then, imitation is the best form of flattery, now is it not!

Mithilesh Srivastav It has a good performance review in city and highway driving. Average is around 18 kmpl which seems decent for such a large MPV.
