This is absolutely heartbreaking. I knew Shirley wasn’t totally oblivious to his crimes. As a single woman who just turned 50, I pray to god I never get so desperate for love that I lose all sense of discernment. Only way Shirley will be able to recover is being open and honest with the people who love her. This will be a hard one to dig herself out of.

I just want to appreciate Chronicle Speak’s reporting, professionalism and journalism. I am African [spent a few years of my life in the UK as well were tv and radio are VERY different to the US] : I never heard of Tim Norman, I never heard Shirley (basically if it’s mostly on local tv and local radio it’s usually unavailable to outsiders in very remote / far places ) but these stories are so well reported that I don’t need to do a deep dive into who they are! I’m generally interested in legal matters because I’m an Attorney, I as well love news & entertainment so I don’t only stick to the legal nitty gritty!

Just listening to the phone calls and the way in which he speaks, it's surprising to me that Shirley would even be with him. He sounds like a street guy. Someone who is all about the hustle. I'm guessing somehow Steve vouched for her credit, either through a shell company or a direct cosigner. No leasing or rental agencies will touch an eviction, especially combined with a criminal history
