You should dye that gray disc. That foil would be nicer with a better background. Even on your first try, you can turn something bland into something special. It's also affordable to get started with, and really satisfying. Lots of "happy accidents". I think you all would enjoy it. LilBot Disc Golf is a good channel to follow for techniques.

I also hate the use of "overly busy and dense" multicolor foils that ruin the visibility of hot stamp designs.
It is sometimes okay on stock stamp discs, but it muddies the design visibility and ruins the enjoyment of large hot stamp designs that have alot of detail.
