@@serrossssorres1461 Hi Serross! correct, you can see that setting "Screen Saver" when I go over the dash cam menu. You can have the screen off and the dash cam will still continue to record in what I call "stealth mode" Hope this helps, Cheers!
First, thank yoy for being an actual person doing the review instead of a computer generated voice. Next, great review. This thing does almost everything. Last, what an UNBELIEVABLE stashe. Major respect for that alone.
WoW FINALLY a company that addresses wire management! This has kept those of us that do not want 3 or 4 cables in different locations making the installation truly look like aftermarket and not particularly well thought out.
@Alexander Marzano Your welcome Alexander! Ah yes regarding your request, they already did! Here it is ua-cam.com/video/7n4J8Bz6tLM/v-deo.html however it was discontinued ugh (as can imagine the cost to manufacture a dash cam with connectors on top is lower than producing a dashcam with a hidden cable) You could even mount the S50 upside down, it was a very interesting dash cam, high on my collection shelf of rare dash cams. Cheers!
14:04 Can you please do a video solely on this feature. I bet many of your viewers would be very interested in this. The motion detection and park mode recording . Tombo 360X is the most Advance dash cam on the market forsure. Only thing that competes is the Sentry on Teslas
Definitely! I knew it was just a matter of time before we saw someone make a direct fit mount kit part of the actual dash cam purchase, which takes out the headache of finding a way to convert one that is not direct mount ready. I'm hoping more manufacturers will get the hint and start doing something similar. Cheers Untrusted Tech!
Just ordered the 360X! You are the BEST help for customers that I have EVER seen on UA-cam! The most HONEST! And, you've got the BEST video images and audio and explanations! FABULOUS!! I am going to RE-WATCH your installation video for the Toyota Corolla so I can get this 360X mirror dashcam on my old Corolla ASAP! A million thanks to YOU! And, we just LOVE your moustache...Ha! Ha! Ha!
This is where dashcams are headed (pro Video security systems already have them). My take? Great features, love the choice of being able to see it all. But much needs to be improved, most of all video quality, likely from a better sensor, and in desperate need of a polarizer to control glare). But the audio is worse than it should be for the price. So, yes, pricey but you get the latest in the field.
I see that you reply to people which shows you’re genuine. Ul see that you’ll blow up just from replying to people. If you ever get too big tell people that you’ll only reply to the first 50 comments or something and keep replying and you’ll see that you’ll blow up from this. A podcaster I watch recently use to reply to comments too and then he allowed himself to let it get to his head that he’s getting bigger and now he has his brother replying to comments too and it’s clear his fans are on the decline cuz he’s showing he doesn’t care about them.Keep killing it man. I support you.
Just bought this for my little brothers truck on a whim today, and the guys that installed it suggested I check this video out…tbh I really had no idea what I was buying, I bought it and had it installed before watching this video, but it’s because I watched this video and seeing it in action that I am now buying one for my truck and my parents…great job on the video my guy, this was really informative
This was so awesome and thanks for providing that review. I looked around but I could not find any reviews for this awesome dashcam and your enthusiasm for the product is great. You did an AWESOME job of explaining all of the features which is what I was looking for as trying to find out how the proximity sensor worked was not very apparent. The one thing I would like to see from this company is to buy the individual items i.e. gps, prox sensor and hardwire without having to buy the whole kit in that you might not use the other parts of it. I also saw some mention that in a future version they were looking at implementing 4/5g into it and am wondering if they are considering android auto/apply car play as well as that would not be much of a stretch but we will see. Another thing to note is that you did mention the blind spot indicators and I found that interesting but the website makes no mention of what you have to link it to to get that to work which I think would be awesome, the website seems very new and very sparse at this point. Thanks again for your wonderful and comprehensive review.
You're welcome Ken and thank you! Yeah this thing is so new and just came out of nowhere too, normally I seen dash cams while their in development so I have an idea of what is coming into the market but this one came out at the blue. Good suggestions too! I actually got another special dash cam coming for those that do no need all the bells and whistles of the 360X or are trying to stay within a budget. Stay tuned Bud, Cheers!
@@kenavram5586 Yep! I got a video review for the model that will replace the previous model (the 360) you saw on Amazon. This also the reason the 360 is no longer on their website, since it's being replaced by both the 360X and the other dash cam I'm currently reviewing, hand in there Bud, Cheers!
Great job on your videos .Now I need to make a decision on Rydeen 360X or the Wolfbox G890 12" 3 channel. I don't really care for the add on look of the Wolfbox nor the extra cost of the Rydeen. I guess if I want a cleaner look I will have to bite the bullet a get the 360.
Thank you! Ah yes the G890, I'm actually working on the review for it, but yep for a clean look (almost factory) the Rydeed would be the way to go. Cheers!
Just came across this video. Exactly what I need to see. Now I just have to figure out why the lumbar switch isn't working to move the back forward. I use a pillow to adjust my back.
This is one of the best dashcam with great features so far, especially 360 degree camera! Thank you for sharing this. I have a couple questions. 1) Does it come with 4G LTE (SIM card)? 2) Which version of Sony's CMOS image sensor comes with? Is it IMX415?
Hi Alp! Wifi on mirror dash cams is a rare option, however here is one that supports it ua-cam.com/video/bLeXLaiJq0o/v-deo.html 4G LTE is even rarer option but here is one that can connect to the Cloud ua-cam.com/video/BAEH4f2ulEs/v-deo.html for live video and alerts. Regarding the sensor unfortunately Rydeen does not specify which one they are using but If I do find this information at some point I will update this comment. And I have more dash cam reviews on my channel in the playlist "Dash cams" if you like to compare them. Hope this helps, Cheers!
For 360° front camera, we are using 4K SONY IMX415, it is necessary to flatten the image from the edge of the image circle to gain 360 continuous image, so that the video picture appears on screen may not be true 4K, but the whole image circle is 4K resolution. For the rear backup camera, we are using SONY IMX307, thanks🙂
Alex, thank you for the reviews especially this one since it convinced me to get the Tombo 306X! I installed the full kit a few days ago and I am enjoying all the features it offers. With the windshield mount and placement of the sensors, it looks like a factory installed unit. Keep up the great videos!
Hey. Love your videos. Very well done and informative. With all the reviews that you have done, which mirror do you think is the best of the lot? Thank you.
Hi Kryshael! Thank you! and ah yes that's a good question that I get often. I think it's depends on what you are looking for in a mirror dash cam. I run different ones on my cars so what I usually tell people looking for the right dash cam for them is to start by picking how many cameras does it need to have (2 or 3). Now that you have narrowed your selections, consider how much you want to spend on one, that will narrow your choices even further. Then consider any special features you are looking for such as 360° or 720° video, Side Camera, Detached Cameras, Wi-Fi, BSM support, Auto Brightness, Back up to SSD, Parking monitor without hardwire Etc. Finally you would want to compare video quality of your final choices. And I just began working on a video to compare my top picks for different categories, stay tuned, Cheers!
Hi Alex great review once again! I think this one might be the one, finally ready to pull the trigger. One question though, how does the blind spot thing work? Is it from the rear camera and software detects it?
Thank you N D! Ah yes regarding the blind spot monitoring, that is an optional feature. I put a link to the add on the video description as well, since they are different styles of the BSD system depending on how you want the BSD system to mount to the vehicle. Hope this helps, Cheers!
Thanks Enrique! Correct, the Tombo and the 360View are the most equipped 360° mirror dash cams I have tested yet. And remember I placed the discount code for them in the video description if you need it. Cheers!
If this is hard wired in for parking monitor, would this potentially drain my battery? Also did notice that in rear view mode license plates read backwards? Do they have a mobile app? Having remote access to view in real time be àmazing? Over all it looks like an incredible camera
Hi Steve! The hardwire kit has a low voltage cut off to prevent excessive battery drain, here is my hardwire intro video showing how this kits work ua-cam.com/video/Yky9_tTvwMc/v-deo.html Ah yes regarding the mirrored view, remember mirror dash cams will show a mirrored view like a regular mirror does (flipped horizontally) which includes flipped letters like a normal mirror creates (some emergency vehicles have mirrored text on them so it can be read correctly when seen thru a mirror, if the image is not mirrored that text won't be readable). Regarding Wifi and APP support on mirror dash cams, that is a rare option, however Wolfbox has just added Wifi to their T10 here is the review for it ua-cam.com/video/v_1mCaEtbck/v-deo.html However for if you are looking for live view, notifications to your phone etc. that is an even rarer option called a Cloud enabled dash cam like this one ua-cam.com/video/BAEH4f2ulEs/v-deo.html And I have more dash cam reviews on my channel in the playlist "Dash Cams Reviews" if you like to compare them. Hope this helps, Cheers!
I've been a big fan of this Rydeen dvr for a while and seeing you of all channels reviewing it is just awesome!! If I wasn't sold on the Tombo before, I definitely am now !! PS - Question: When using the Auto brightness feature, is the level the screen dims down to at night able to be adjusted at all? Or does it dim down to a non-adjustable predetermined brightness?
Hi HAMMER! ah yes regarding the auto brightness, if set to automatic you cannot overwrite it unless you go back into the settings menu. That being said, the good thing is that the auto setting so far been on the dot for me, so I leave it on Auto all the time (I had to turn it off during filming since the brightness would change when I would put my hands around the sensor to show how to move the camera sensor, since the light sensor is near that area). With this being the second mirror dash cam that uses auto brightness I hope more manufacturers will start adding this feature more often to their dash cams you know. Hope this helps, Cheers!
@@AlexAutoFunA Belated THANK YOU for your reply! I am re-visiting this video now as I am finally ready to buy one! I'm going to purchase a 2TB SSD as well for storage. Thanks again for all of your excellent reviews!
What a magnificent Dash Cam. I wish that the Backup to SSD was an automatic feature, or maybe that one could select if it records to the MicroSD, to the SSD or both. It could be a good feature to fool anyone that wants to remove the MicroSD to think that they succeded, while the real recordings are performed on the SSD. But in overall this a great great device. Maybe some day I will upgrate to it, maybe in 5 years more when my New Wolfbox dies 🙂
Hi jjptech! Ah something is in the works for the Tombo, close to what you are describing but you didn't hear it from me LOL stay tuned for that video. Cheers!
Hi Le Monte! Good eye, each one has very different features appealing to different buyers, so I would recommend the Akeeyo if you want a side camera and don't need all the bells and whistles of the Tombo 360X, but if you want backup to SSD capabilities, auto dimming, cabin night vision, direct fit mount, high capacity SD memory card and concealed memory card cover or the optional BSD system support, hidden wire setup, etc. I would go for the Tombo 360X. The other factor you want to consider (if you plan on using tech support) is that Rydeen has USA based support where Akeeyo is Japan based, but again this only matters if you need support. There is new firmware for Tombo adding some neat features I'm currently reviewing, stay tuned for that video. Cheers!
Hi EdrumSense! yeah they packed a ton of neat on stuff on it, but yeah as mentioned on the video, this dash cam is on the high end of the spectrum as far as cost, I think because is so new and no one else has anything with the amount of features this thing has combined. Great product and review, since I watched your videos I learned how to install by myself my dash cam with the wire kits and you save me a lot of money, so congratulations you have a great channel. Unfortunately a week ago I suffered a robbery and they steal my parking monitor system as well, so now I’m looking for a replacement and this sounds good but unfortunately don’t seems to have 4g compatibility in order to send notifications if someone breaks in the car or if you want to have remote real time monitoring, do you know any option like that? @@AlexAutoFun omg, you are also lightning quick with responses. Mad respect to you, sir. And I am also subscribing to your channel right now to pay my respect.
The cord management feature on this mirror is an excellent decision by the manufactures. I’m shocked that the people at wolf box have persisted in making their mirrors with a messy and clunky attachment at the top of the mirror with some of the wires going in one direction, and some of the wires going in another direction and making an unsightly bundle at the top of an otherwise sleek mirror. The people at Wolf box would do wise to completely overhaul this aspect of their mirrors. The better way would be to at the bare minimum, put all of the attachments on the back of the mirror, because who the heck sees the back of the mirror really? an even better idea is to include a pigtail of 10 inches or so of combined cabling, which would allow you to make the wiring connections away from the mirror and give you enough clean cable to get up under the headliner. Also, in the meantime, why the heck wouldn’t wolf box make all of their connections go in the same direction toward the back of the mirror? It’s almost unfathomable that they would put clunky wiring going off to the left some going to the back… It’s just a mess. And a bare minimum they should make their USB-C connector head straight back. Lol that USB port should also be at the center not on the far right such that when it goes out the back the phono style mini pins for the GPS and backup camera can be swiveled toward the center to combine with the power cord. All that said, the better way to do it is how Rydeen has done it. It’s slick and clean.
Hi Valslist! Yeah hidden cable design dash cams are rare, here is my Vantop tear down video where I cover why most dash cam have cables that come out the top as opposed to bottom ua-cam.com/video/HW8jqbl_ayU/v-deo.html (mostly a cost saving measure from a manufacturing standpoint) So it is neat to see a different approach so we can have a more elegant design (which will have a higher price point of course). Cheers!
Nice review Sr. Bigote... this is exactly what I was looking for, for my cargo van. Question tho, in the multi display mode, is it possible to tap in rear view camera?
Hello, great video giving details angles are good and looks clear. Question tho: how abt reading the license plate? How clear in capturing the plate numbers? Ty
Thank You! ah regarding how well it can capture license plates, you can see that during the test drive portion of the video (feel free to use the chapters to jump to the section of the video you want to see). However remember 360 video is for capturing your surroundings (context, what led to a crash), current 360 technology is not optimized for reading license plates, for that you want a dash cam tuned for license plate capture like this one ua-cam.com/video/d6OObfweGts/v-deo.html And I have more dash cam reviews on my channel in the playlist "Dash Cams Reviews" if you like to compare them. Thank you! Ah no there is no video yet, there are many different BSM kits available for it (links to the variants in the video description), so quite a bit of variability for the install process (from the mirror side they work the same, you get a light on on the left side or right side of the mirror similar to the monitoring system on new cars that have that light built into the side mirrors), but if I do add the Add one BSM and make a video I will update this comment for you. Hope this helps, Cheers!

Really interesting. The glare reducer is a huge issue though. It didn't occur to me that rear view mirror dashcams would not have this feature. So, if someone is behind you with their high beams on, what can you do?
Hi Crab Louis! While most people who upgrade to a LCD mirror can't go back to a regular mirror (myself included LOL) There are few like I mentioned where glare will bother them. Since I use mine with the LCD panel on all time I don't get much glare from headlights since I'm looking at a video screen not the actual reflection but if using it as a normal mirror then yes the potential for glare is there for sure. What I recommend to people that are on the fence about switching is to test drive a car that comes with an LCD mirror from factory (The new Corvette, High Trim Toyotas and Lexus are few examples) that way you can experience it and see if this something you want or if it's not going to work for you. Hope this helps, Cheers!
@@AlexAutoFun That makes sense, viewing the transmitted video will not be the same glare strength as if looking straight at the spectral mirror reflection. THANKS for the immediate feedback!

Hi Lawrence! I think they are very different dashcams and which one will work better for you will depend on what you are looking in a dash cam. Tombo is a 360view dash cam with a ton of upgrades available for it, here is my other video where I cover this in more detail ua-cam.com/video/sqX7CA9L7mQ/v-deo.html This also means the Tombo will be significantly higher in terms of cost. 8:06 Hiding the SSD unit above the visor is clever. But backups to the SSD has to be done while the cam is not recording. So there’s no ready-made backup video on the SSD at the end of your road trip, even if it is hooked up to the Tombo 360x. You have to make a backup while the car is parked & idle. So why would someone leave the SSD in the car after doing a backup? I take my SSD out after the transfer is done & keep it at home, where it is safer & where my PC is.
Hi Sam! Correct, currently the backups are done triggered manually by the end user with the icon shown on the vide. However.. and you didn't hear it from me 🤫 .. scheduled backups maybe on the way along with several other even cooler features that I can't say much on yet, stay tuned. Cheers!

Some person regularly messes with my car such as taking off the logo badge or rubbing dirt on the car to scratch it. I want to identify the person. Thank you!
Thanks takenoshortcuts! Ah yes to capture someone approaching a car (as opposed to just impacting your car) you would want a dash cam with motion detection like the Rydeen (radar based). @@AlexAutoFun thank you for your reply. My most considerations are high quality image and video recording (day and night), backup camera and rearview night sight. I don't mind about the price or if the product has more features, but those are the core. I think you can add it to your video bc many people including me only cares about if it could help them solving their main problem, not adding the things that they don't need.
Been waiting to get this dash cam but they've been out of stock for 2 months... called customer service and they said by may 10th so hoping to get it soon!
Hi Jesse! It's on stock on Amazon (link in the video description) but yes if you want to get it direct from Rydeen they will be getting more soon. And you didn't hear it from me but the newest firmware it comes with has very cool features I have not found on any other mirror dash cams out there yet (video on this releases soon stay tuned). Cheers!
@@AlexAutoFun finally got the dashcam, been disappointed with the parking mode. It usually catches bits and pieces of vehicles parking next to me or people walking right in front of the car. Wondering if you could do a video showing the parking mode senor in action.
@jessefernandez6963 Hi Jesse! It's a simple motion trigger, so it performs how you describe it, it records when there is movement, not much to it lol. Now if you want to maximize the sensing area, the installer can place the sensor high in the vehicle (and correct side facing out if the intent is to monitor outside) so it has a clear view of the area you want to monitor (and also making sure the sensor is aimed and placed in the area of interest). So if the rear of your vehicle faces the street, then the sensor would be best placed in the rear as this is likely where a threat can come from but if the front of your car faces the street then the front will probably make more sense as far as the placement of the motion sensor etc. So it just depends on your situation. Cheers!
Hello, Just wanted your honest feedback on which one of the following rear mirror camera is better.... - Akeeyo V720S - Rydeen Tombo 360 Does the Akeeyo 720 have more features and coverage? What about night vision of both? Which is better and which one would you recommend?
Hi Terence! They are very different dash cams with very different features and price points. The AKY-V720S maximum supported memory is 256gb where the Tombo 360X supports 512gb and supports backup to SSD. The Tombo also supports auto dimming, is BSD ready, comes with the direct mount kit, concealed memory card cover, etc. So I think it will come down to what your are trying to achieve as far as recording (I run both dash cams since I have different vehicles with different purposes) and what your budget limit is. If budget is not an issue go for the Tombo, but if you are in a budget and don't need all the bells and whistles (or don't need tech support, since Rydeen is USA based) then the Akeeyo would make sense. And here is the full review for the AKY-V720S ua-cam.com/video/o8begcmPA2w/v-deo.html so you can compare the res of the features. Hope this helps, Cheers!
@@AlexAutoFun Thanks a lot for providing your detailed feedback. I must confess both rear mirror cameras have their own plus points. It is very difficult for me to decide because as much as I see the great features in the Tombo, I love the 720 degrees view in the Akeeyo - as it was well explained in one of your earlier reviews, I believe, where viewing of 360 degrees was metaphorically compared to viewing a bowl, while 720 degrees viewing was related to two bowls placed on each other. So the viewing angles of the 720 were as good as double. Having said that, on the other hand, I am also interested in buying a 4K front/rear dashcam and am confused on whether to go for the Thinkware U1000 or the BlackVBue 970X (which has LTE built in) - Both again have their plus points - so it really makes deciding on either harder - I just wish there could be one rear mirror and one dash cam that could have all the features together. Life would be so simple.
@@terencerodrigues6018 Hi Terence! Yeah and I think that is why I always tell people that I can't tell them what the best dash cam is, since there is currently no Jack of All Trades dash cam that has all the features in one unit. What I actually recommend (if budget allows) is to run dual dash cams, so for example on my cars I pair a mirror dash cam with a separate stick style dashcam, this gives me redundancy in case one of the dash cams fails but also gives me the best of both worlds (mirror dash cam plus stick dash cam features) Here is a Cloud enabled dash cam ttps://ua-cam.com/video/BAEH4f2ulEs/v-deo.html (live view, geofencing, notifications to your phone etc.) that compliments nicely a mirror dash cam set up. And I have more dash cam reviews on my channel in the playlist "Dash Cams Reviews" if you like to compare them. Hope this helps, Cheers!
Amazing. Love the detail of the images. This product looks too good to be true! Very interested in purchasing one. Last summer I bought one following that video, the problem being that I still haven’t even gotten around to installing it. Duh. But today I’m not going to immediately be getting this thing, but am certainly going to be following up on revisiting your video when I can watch it on my computer to get a better view of the specifics. ❤ the mustache however is kind of hard to view without thinking I’m watching a cartoon character.
Just a heads up besides this channel being great....i had a few questions so i called rydeen with questions and found out a software update will be out in early 24. Not sure how to update but thought i would share
Hi. I came across your video and wanted to ask you and owners if the radar on the Tombo 360x detects people approaching from the rear who strike the vehicle with that particular sensor attached to the front windshield?
Hi Rodney! Ah good question, nope the motion detection radar should be installed towards the area you want to prioritize during park monitoring. For example if you park with the rear of you car towards the street, the sensor would be best placed in the rear windshield or if you park with the driver side facing the street then the sensor would be installed on the driver side facing the street and so on. That being said if the be vehicle was actually struck, the G-Sensor is always monitoring the car as well so parking monitoring will be triggered (assuming the impact was large enough to set off the G-Sensor based on the setting chosen on the Menu) Cheers!
@AlexAutoFun What are you using for glare reduction? It's been my experience that when mounting the rear camera on the rear window or looking through the rear glass is where you get the most glare. That's been an issue for me with all of the brands. I'm also hoping one of these manufacturers will include an additional input for a backup camera that would be mounted outside the vehicle... even if it doesn't record... just add the backup camera input so that when triggered, the screen will switch to view the backup camera. I realize the back camera does look back but if you mounted that camera outside of the vehicle and down on the license plate area, most headlights at night would completely wash out the video. When you use it as a backup camera in a sedan, pickup, etc... you'll get a very obstructed view and still potentially hit something.
Hi Jason! ah yes the infamous glare yeah I agree, unfortunately all mirror dash cams are plagued by this to an extent (is just part of the nature of a screen also being used as a mirror when the LCD panel is off). However here is what I found works good to reduce it. 1st is window tint (sides only not on the rear if camera is mounted inside the car). 2nd I aim my mirror dash cam down towards the rear seats so I don't get the reflection of the bright outside (this assumes your are using the dash cam with the screen on) 3rd is that some mirror dash cams do come with glare reducers like this one ua-cam.com/video/ZUUZIcKD_mg/v-deo.html or this one ua-cam.com/video/dVcfFVLCXbY/v-deo.html So far there are no universal ones since most of mirror dash cams have custom shapes and sizes. However I had other viewers mentions they cut large screen glare reducers for tablets down to shape for those cases. Regarding mounting the camera outside, yes it can be done since it's waterproof, here is my install video where you can see muting on the outside ua-cam.com/video/44WXN8MI66o/v-deo.html Hope this helps, Cheers!
Thank you Steven! Ah for stealth mode, you mean the dash cam continues to record while the screen if off (so you can use it as a regular mirror while stealth recording) yes you can. Cheers!
Hello Alex Thanks for the great reviews as always. This dashcam actually ticks all my requirements. I am expecting the delivery of my 2024 Rav 4 xle premium next month. The only concern I am envisaging is that will the plastic extension in the rav 4 on the windscreen not be impeding the view for the front viewing of the camera. Pls I will appreciate your response, probably you've had experience installing this in a RAV4 Secondly, I noticed from your response to a comment on this same video that tombo is releasing a new firmware with more refined features which you are working on presently ❤, and I noticed it was even out of stock on tombo official website. Would you then advice me to wait for that to be out or what would you advice pls? Thanks as always!
Hi Musa! Just checked and it's stock here go you amzn.to/3LfseoO ah yes the ADAS enclosure on new Toyotas, mine also has it (you can actually see it on the driving video and specially if running it on the super wide front view but imo I think it doesn't get in the way where I bothers me. And yes the firmware is really good (I can't say yet but has some very neat features that no other dash cam has and yes if you already have a Tombo, I heard that the software will be made available for people to upgrade if desired) stay tuned video is almost ready. Cheers!
@@AlexAutoFun you are just simply amazing. I don't really subscribe to channels like that, but yours is exceptional. You are just so wonderful with responsiveness, clarity and 👌 Thank you soo much
Hi @alex Ordering this dashcam has been a great headache. The link you shared with me wasn't leading to any seller actually. Maybe it's out of there stock. Luckily, I found a seller on Walmart who only sells the dashcam package, but I realised it has its accessories package to be sold separately which actually contains the blindspot wiring kit, rear camera, the mount and some stuffs. Which is even more important And the package accessories is even nowhere to be found from different sellers have been searching. Pls Could you pls help out. I just need all the kits Thanks
@@musaadedibu9316 Hi Musa! Just checked the link it's working, but there are cases where if you are in an area where Amazon does not deliver the product it will redirect you to a similar one. I also placed a link in the description to get it directly from Rydeen if you want to get it directly from them. Cheers!
I was good until i seen the price. For that price there should be a connection to the phone where you can see the camera and download it right to the phone because if you are not in your car and someone messes with your car, you want to get an alert and have that video saved without having to run to the car to get the sd card
Hi mistadj! As mentioned on the video this dash cam is on the high end in terms of cost, however if you don't need all the bells and whistles, but prefer Wifi and APP instead here is one that supports it ua-cam.com/video/bLeXLaiJq0om/v-deo.html However for what you are trying to do (live view, notifications to your phone etc.) you would want a Cloud enabled dash cam like this one ua-cam.com/video/BAEH4f2ulEs/v-deo.html And I have more dash cam reviews on my channel in the playlist "Dash Cams Reviews" if you like to compare them. Hope this helps, Cheers!
New product RYDEEN 360VIEW is now available at lower price... Alex done an excellent video review ua-cam.com/video/7IED69-078E/v-deo.html take a look... FYI the Cloud upload and app are under development, we will let Alex know as soon as becomes available!!!
Why is the rear camera reversed ? on the front camera, you're driving in the right hand lane but on the rear camera it appears you're in London or Tokyo...why?
Hi Lost Dragon! Ah yes mirror dash cams will show a mirrored view like a regular mirror does (flipped horizontally) which includes flipped letters like a normal mirror creates (some emergency vehicles have mirrored text on them so it can be read correctly when seen thru a mirror, if the image is not mirrored that text won't be readable). However if you still want to flip the image some mirror dash cams do let you disable that function however, objects on your right will show on your left and objects on your left will show on the right which can confuse the driver since we are used to a mirrored view so I don't see many people disable the "mirrored rear view" option. Cheers!
Out of all the dash cams you have reviewed which are in your top 5 list ??? Please let me know cuz I’m looking for one and I been looking for a while now please and thank u
Hi A C! Ah that is a good question I get often. I think the best dash cam depends on what you are looking for in a dash cam. I run different ones on my cars so what I usually tell people looking for the right dash cam for them is to start by picking the style of dash cam (Mirror or classic stick). Then how many cameras does it need to have (1, 2 or 3). Now that you have narrowed your selections, consider how much you want to spend on one, that will narrow your choices even further. Then consider any special features you are looking for such as 360° video, Backup to SSD, BSD Support, Side Camera, Wi-Fi, Parking monitor without hardwire, cloud support, High Frame Rate. Finally you would want to compare video quality (I have several dashcam reviews on my channel under the playlist "dashcams" if you like to compare). I just began working on a video to compare my top picks for different categories, stay tuned, Cheers!
Hi JUDGEME5150! Nope unfortunately it won't. Strangely enough notification that an event took place while parked is very rare on dash cams, now that being said, I had so many recordings of people just passing by triggering the dash cam that I ended up disabling motion detection, will probably only use it for when leaving the car unattended some where like at the mall or airport, all I'm recoding right now is neighbors getting their mail, people running and cars passing by my street LOL. Hope this helps, Cheers!
Hi @squashrat9431! Ah unfortunately I have not reviewed the GKU M12 Pro dash cam so I can't comment on it's performance, but I will see if we can add the to the list of dash cams to review (list is getting longer by the day! LoL) Cheers!
You're welcome Nur Ali! Ah regarding Wifi this one does not support it. Wifi and APP support on mirror dash cams is a rare option, however here is one that supports it ua-cam.com/video/bLeXLaiJq0o/v-deo.html Hope this helps, Cheers!
Hi Paul! As long as you have space on the mounting location chosen, yes is possible (I have installed multiple cameras on vehicles, one of my most recent ones has 3 backup cameras LOL) Here is the full install video so you can see the process ua-cam.com/video/VOrSoxDbgDU/v-deo.html Cheers!
How do you view the recordings? i tried to backup the recordings with that same memory card (128gb sdxc) and it still says ssd required with exfat (which i did format my memory card to exfat already)... what am i missing? and where did you get the tombo 360 viewer?
Hi Coty! The software comes with the dash cam, check the memory card and you will find the installer there. Regarding the backup feature, it does not back the videos to the same memory card used for recording, the backup is for the external dongle (where normally people plug in an SDD drive) Cheers!
Hi Insan Vini! Nope this one does not support a proximity sensor for parking, however here is another system that does have that ua-cam.com/video/b2JXMQyU-24/v-deo.html the sensor can be placed on the rear or front of the vehicle. Hope this helps, Cheers!
Hi Ernest! Ah mixing dash cam components sometimes is possible, I had viewers done it BUT I usually don't recommend it unless you don't mind potentially voiding the warranty (due to mixing components). We also don't know the long term aspects (both operational and safety) of mixing components. There is also the issue of which components will actually appear to work (again without knowing the long term effect of swapping) since sometimes small differences between the products (while looking the same from the outside) are important (I had a viewer fry his new rear camera because the old wiring connections looked same as his prior rear dash cam) Hope this helps, Cheers!
Thank you Michael! Ah yes the camera is waterproof so it can be installed outside by the license plate. Here is the full install video ua-cam.com/video/VOrSoxDbgDU/v-deo.html and here is my video showing the installing outside (longer process than inside install) ua-cam.com/video/wlj9aa6L_Wg/v-deo.html Cheers!
I noticed the rear view had the image reversed. Can you make it so right is right and left is left? Do you have to have the camera in a special mode for the blind side alerts work?
Hi Clarence! the mirror dash cam will show a mirrored view like a regular mirror does (flipped horizontally) which includes flipped letters like a normal mirror creates (some emergency vehicles have mirrored text on them so it can be read correctly when seen thru a mirror, if the image is not mirrored that text won't be readable). However if you still want to flip the image some dash cams do let you disable that function however, objects on your right will show on your left and objects on your left will show on the right which can confuse the driver since we are used to a mirror viewed with a reversed image so i don't see many people use this disable "mirrored rear view" option. Regarding the Blind spot monitor, that is a separate add on, I put links to it in the video description. Hope this helps, Cheers!
Thank you Nathaniel! Ah yes they do ship internationally. I put the link to the dash cam in the video description along with the discount code. Hope this helps, Cheers!
Does this dash cam accept an additional battery pack to safe the car battery when on parking mode? Is it compatible with the 2023 U.K. Honda CRV EX HYBRID?
Hi William! The hardwire kit includes a low voltage battery cut off (to prevent your battery from draining) However yes some viewers do run dash cams off a battery, however the battery kits are still some what expensive they have not been very popular. There are also potential issues with running a large battery on the car for a dash cam, here for example in California we experience really hot temperatures which I would not want to subject the Li-ion battery to, that and the potential for a run away event (fire) during charging or discharging inside the car. But again that is just my personal preference for hardwire over a battery, hope this helps, Cheers!
Sorry, we are currently not exporting to UK market, but wanted to take this opportunity to explain about the proximity sensor we adapted to TOMBO 360X. Most of dash cams would consume 200 to 300 mA even at ACC off, during parking mode, will kill your car battery in few days. The reason is that some use camera to detect motion or others use time-laps feature, but unfortunately those camera's current consumptions are high. This is the reason for the proximity sensor, at the sleep (standby) mode during parking monitoring, the consumption can be 15 to 20 mA. It can sense up to 8-feet of distance, so anyone approach your vehicle, TOMBO 360X wakes up and record video as SOS files for 30-sec. The proximity sensors can be independently installed, you can mount anywhere in your vehicle, to the windshield for the highest sensitivity, adjust the angle to change the sensitivity if parking monitoring get triggered too frequently...🙂
Hi A! I'm not familiar with the TT but this is a universal dash cam for all vehicles makes, here is the full install video so you can see how it mounts ua-cam.com/video/VOrSoxDbgDU/v-deo.html Cheers!
Sorry, one more question. How is the video/mirror quality compared to others (mainly Wolfbox)? I have a G840S sitting here but am considering swapping it for rydeen. I noticed what looked like the occasional stutter in the mirror video with the 840. Or overall would the Wolfbox 850 be better? Ugh: 2nd question after rewatching this: can it show the front and back cameras in split screen mode? It looks like the dual view is 360 only.
Hi Terogan! Unfortunately I have not tested the G840S so I can't comment on it's performance but I will see if we can add to the list of dash cams to review (list is getting longer by the day! lol) Regarding the split view, nope it will not let you show the front and rear cameras at the same time. Cheers!
@@AlexAutoFun Thank you. Pretty sure that just saved me a good bit of money on the split view feature. My main reason for asking is it appeared on the 840 that going to split view adds to the top and bottom of the image making it easier to see vehicles edging out and around the back of my Ridgeline. I figured that would be better when traveling in Atlanta traffic. I appreciate your help.
The rear view at night looked great. I’m looking for a unit for an RV that would primarily be used a a rear view camera/mirror. It needs to have a great image at night and not be washed out to a white blob from approaching headlights. I need to be able to see the car behind me at night as well as approaching traffic on both sides. Any recommendations?
Hi Richard! Ah yes unfortunately all mirror dash cams are plagued by this to an extent, due to the limitations of current video sensor technology. What I usually do with the rear camera is installed, I mount high and pointed slightly down. If mounted low and horizontal to the cars behind you, the camera faces the headlights of coming vehicles directly which can exacerbate the glare issue. High mounting and tilt has helped me reduce the glare but won't eliminate it completely. And I do have another video coming where I cover mirror dash cam glare in more detail, stay tuned, Cheers!
Hi Kronos! Here is the install video ua-cam.com/video/VOrSoxDbgDU/v-deo.html and if you are looking to direct mount it, here is my follow up video showing how that is done including the special adapters for vehicles with special mounting setups ua-cam.com/video/cCpyHmiZqiY/v-deo.html Cheers!
All your forward videos show about 60% of your picture as the top of the dash. Is that a placement issue on your part or is it a limit of the camera? I rewatched the video and it is a limit of the 360 view, but the forward view mode is very good. So Now I see. I did not see in either viewing of your view about the Blind area detection. I am assuming the little lights light up if the camera sees anything?
Hi Charles! Correct since the dash cam is recording 360° it has to fit everything around it (think of the 360° video as a half a sphere facing down recording all surroundings) so I would recommend if you want to prioritize forward video to use the dash cam in super wide mode (think of this as pointing the half sphere to the front of the vehicle maximizing the forward video. Hope this helps, Cheers!
Hi! This is Frank from Puerto Rico. My 2022 Supra comes with a rear view backup camera. My mayor concern is the front carbon fiber spoiler . Question: Can I install the rear view camera in the front instead? I would not mind a constant on to monitor the road ahead? Thanks for the review, excellent work if I may say so!
Hello awesome video thanks for the details, I live in the uk and looking at how to purchase this dash cam, any info would be greatly appreciated *******
Thank you nun of yo business! I put the link to the it in the video description along with a discount code Rydeen issued for my viewers. Hope this helps, Cheers!
Well Alex, I bought the unit, it came quick and I started to install it today when I noticed I couldn't since the left strap covers up the buttons on the bottom of my existing OEM rear view mirror that control my garage and lights. It's a bummer because I was really looking forward to using the 360 view and the ssd backup. So I'm returning it. Hopefully Rydeen will refund the purchase.
Hi David! Yep that is one downside of aftermarket mirror dash cams. If you have buttons on your existing mirror (like OnStar, garage buttons etc.) functionality as either the button will be covered by the new mirror dash cam (if using straps) or the button will be gone if replacing it with a new direct fit mirror dash cam. Cheers!

I wonder if this mirror dash cam,is able to record on all cameras at the same time but here comes what I need,it has to do it with the screen off,
🤔🤔
@@serrossssorres1461 Hi Serross! correct, you can see that setting "Screen Saver" when I go over the dash cam menu. You can have the screen off and the dash cam will still continue to record in what I call "stealth mode" Hope this helps, Cheers!

And it has to work while car is parked all night long ,that brings me to another question can it see in the dark?
First, thank yoy for being an actual person doing the review instead of a computer generated voice. Next, great review. This thing does almost everything. Last, what an UNBELIEVABLE stashe. Major respect for that alone.
You're welcome friend and thank you!
WoW FINALLY a company that addresses wire management! This has kept those of us that do not want 3 or 4 cables in different locations making the installation truly look like aftermarket and not particularly well thought out.
Yep exactly! Cheers Alexander!
@@AlexAutoFun Alex if you see when others Wolfbox, etc come around to this - please give us new reviews!! Thank you for all you do.
This is one of the coolest ones yet, and a bonus that it looks good while mounted
Ha! Thank you John! and Congrats on your new mirror dash cam, I personally can't go back to a normal mirror now LOL Cheers!

I really like how you step through the features, GUI, and interface. Well done.
Thanks man!
3 awesome feature that i was looking for a while is, Cable Management, Secret External Drive, and 360 Video. awesome features
Yeah definitely very neat, Cheers Mohamed!
Cheers!
Just got one installed yesterday, it's quite something! So far very happy with it.

You're welcom Greg! and congratulation on your new mirror dash cam, I know I can't go back to a regular mirror now LOL, Cheers!
Once again you did a very very good job keep up the good work.
Thank you Bud!
Great video thanks 👍 Out of all the 360 mirror dashcams you have reviewed, this one seems like the best one correct?
Thanks Enrique! Correct, the Tombo and the 360View are the most equipped 360° mirror dash cams I have tested yet. And remember I placed the discount code for them in the video description if you need it. Cheers!
This is awesome. Gotta have this for my car. Thanks for the review!
You're welcome Nigel!

Great review. So great I have subscribed. This Mirror dashcam takes things to a new level.
Thank you LateralNW and welcome to the channel!
Cheers!
@@AlexAutoFun Hear what?? xD
Surely I will keep an eye to your as usual great review
this is just like the akeyo 360 dashcam that you reviewed years back. only difference is the external solid state drive option and the parking sensor.
Cheers!
That's pretty cool. I'll wait until next year's Black Friday, hopefully more than $100 off. 🤔
Well... Kind of pricey for my budget... but DAMN!! this thing is a total safety center add-on in a very compact device
Hi EdrumSense! yeah they packed a ton of neat on stuff on it, but yeah as mentioned on the video, this dash cam is on the high end of the spectrum as far as cost, I think because is so new and no one else has anything with the amount of features this thing has combined.
LOL! Thanks! Ah no, as shown in the video, in the multiview mode, only the front camera can be shown. Cheers!
Great video! I am buying!!!! Is there a video reviewing the Blindspot monitoring?

If in 360 is it recording full 360 at once then separation like you show so the first option 360 only
Really interesting.

What is your recommendation? Rydeen Tombo 360° is Wolfbox G900?
Hi Lawrence! I think they are very different dashcams and which one will work better for you will depend on what you are looking in a dash cam. Tombo is a 360view dash cam with a ton of upgrades available for it, here is my other video where I cover this in more detail ua-cam.com/video/sqX7CA9L7mQ/v-deo.html This also means the Tombo will be significantly higher in terms of cost. And here is my full review for the G900 ua-cam.com/video/eNK6ujrWWkA/v-deo.html so you can compare it against the Tombo. Cheers!

Cheers!

is there something better then this mirror
dash camera
Hi Atlas! Ah good question, what I usually tell people is that there is not best mirror dash cam, however there is a best dash cam for you based on your intended use and what you are looking for in a dash cam. Then consider any special features you are looking for such as 360° video, Side Camera, Wi-Fi, Parking monitor without hardwire, cloud support, High Frame Rate. Finally you would want to compare video quality (I have several dashcam reviews on my channel under the playlist "dashcams" if you like to compare). I just began working on a video to compare my top picks for different categories, stay tuned, Cheers!
How is the rear camera quality compare to Wolfox G850? I have the Wolfbox G900 and the rear camera quality is a bit better. This one seen really nice if the camera is better I'm returning Wolfbox. Thanks.

Also not sure if seen G850 V2 ua-cam.com/video/-ij02UzQWO0/v-deo.html while it is not for sale, it's pretty interesting to see this G850 variant. Hope this helps, Cheers!
@@AlexAutoFun to be honest, is very hard to tell if the quality is not good in the video. In your video the quality of the G850 looks great but better disappointed when I got so so I return it and got the G900 the quality of the rear camera seen then same just a bit better but with better colors so I'm happy. Is this one has better rear camera I want it looks really nice. Thank for the review or I wouldn't know about it.
@@HectorAriasTech You're welcome Hector! ah yeah If I remember correctly my G850 has already received one firmware update (before filming) so that maybe they tweaked the rear camera settings (I wish they listed what each firmware update changes or does) The other thing that can dramatically improve the quality is a CPL, not sure if you seen my video on this ua-cam.com/video/YvPoihHnSLQ/v-deo.html so far I have only used it on the front camera but it will have the same effect on the rear camera as well (Assuming the camera is mounted inside the car). Hi, your video is very helpful. I have a question. From all of the mirror dash cam + backup you have reviewed, can you list your top 3 out of them?
Thank you thinh! and ah yes regarding my top choices, that's a good question that I get often. Finally you would want to compare video quality of your final choices. And I just began working on a video to compare my top picks for different categories, stay tuned, Cheers!

- Akeeyo V720S
- Rydeen Tombo 360
Does the Akeeyo 720 have more features and coverage?
Does it record the speed of your vehicle in the play back?
Hi Richard!, yes the GPS will record the speed and coordinates the video was recorded at, Cheers!
Does it have stealth mode? Love your videos and how you keep everything simple
Thank you Steven! Ah for stealth mode, you mean the dash cam continues to record while the screen if off (so you can use it as a regular mirror while stealth recording) yes you can. Cheers!

Luckily, I found a seller on Walmart who only sells the dashcam package, but I realised it has its accessories package to be sold separately which actually contains the blindspot wiring kit, rear camera, the mount and some stuffs. Which is even more important
And the package accessories is even nowhere to be found from different sellers have been searching.
Pls Could you pls help out. I just need all the kits
Thanks
Cheers!
@@AlexAutoFun thanks for the explanation.

I got a wolfbox G900 4k front camera and 2k back camera
Hi Lupe! Nice, review for the G900 coming, stay tuned.

I need this for surveillance. When this tracks motion does it let you know it tracked motion when you get in the vehicle?
Hi JUDGEME5150! Nope unfortunately it won't. Strangely enough notification that an event took place while parked is very rare on dash cams, now that being said, I had so many recordings of people just passing by triggering the dash cam that I ended up disabling motion detection, will probably only use it for when leaving the car unattended some where like at the mall or airport, all I'm recoding right now is neighbors getting their mail, people running and cars passing by my street LOL. Hope this helps, Cheers!
@@AlexAutoFun I hope you make it big from this. I have a guy scratching my car on the sides. Any help, helps. Appreciate your response.
@@JUDGEME5150 Thanks man! Yeah I think motion detection is perfect for that issue, I hope you get the jerk that is damaging your car. Cheers!
Any info on the gku m12 pro. This one has wifi/app support and 2.5k rear camera resolution which are features I want. Wondering how it performs
Hi @squashrat9431! Ah unfortunately I have not reviewed the GKU M12 Pro dash cam so I can't comment on it's performance, but I will see if we can add the to the list of dash cams to review (list is getting longer by the day! LoL) Cheers!
Thank you so much, is there any posdiblity that you can connect to your ios or android.
You're welcome Nur Ali! Ah regarding Wifi this one does not support it. Wifi and APP support on mirror dash cams is a rare option, however here is one that supports it ua-cam.com/video/bLeXLaiJq0o/v-deo.html Hope this helps, Cheers!
This is a 11 or 10inch and if the hard wire is included in the pakage
Hi Willy! This is of the 11" category and yes the hardwire kit is included on the kit. Cheers!
Can the back up camera be installed next to another back up camera from a radio screen back up camera ? Thanks.
Does this have an optional proximity sensor for the front bumper? I wanted to use it for parking close to a very narrow garage
Hi Insan Vini! Nope this one does not support a proximity sensor for parking, however here is another system that does have that ua-cam.com/video/b2JXMQyU-24/v-deo.html the sensor can be placed on the rear or front of the vehicle. Hope this helps, Cheers!
Will this work different brand accessories? Rear camera? Gps?
@@AlexAutoFun good to know! Thank you!

Does it record speed in the play back
Hi Richard!, yes the GPS will record the speed and coordinates the video was recorded at, Cheers!
Does it come with a direct mount kit?
Hi Sam! Yes it comes with the direct mount kit. Hope this helps, Cheers!
While this is recording, does also record the vehicle speed?
Hi! Correct, the GPS records your location (coordinates) and speed. Cheers!

@@rydeenmobileusa Very interesting, good info. Thanks for sharing Rydeen! Cheers!
Can you install this on a Convertible audi TT?

You're welcome! Yeah split view will show you the full view as opposed to a cropped view when in full screen. Cheers!@@terogan
@@AlexAutoFun thanks… I’m staying tuned… just subscribed. Great channel.

Does anyone have experience installing on the BMW? You know have that stupid red bulb ? Any help is well appreciated... TY
Hi Frank! Yep you can technically mount the rear dash cam anywhere you want since it's waterproof. Hope this helps, Cheers!
Cheers!
