Vanguard can’t ever hope to compete with Pokémon/Yugioh doing shit like this, surely it’s better for people who want energy generators only to buy them as singles
@@windwaker0rules yes but the 2 free online version will quickly snuff out beginners unless those people began and gained interest post 5ds which isn't a huge number of people
@@DestroAzureDx True but its no cost so just getting your foot in the door is easy, where cardfight its "you better have bought this expensive trial deck full of vanillas that's only available for 2 weeks or you can't play or paid for a badly translated $60 game from 2 years ago ".
who this product is meant for is a real good question because veteran players need the energy generator which is only printed here. You cannot join tournaments without it, before it was unoptimal to not have it since all future support would use it but if you were using shiranui you could get away with it. Of course you can buy the single but thats still a starter deck not going to the supposed target audience
My main issue with the QSDs is that the Energy Generator was made a mandatory inclusion in Ride Decks solely to bolster their sales. It's effectively an ultimatum proposed by the company: "Buy our subpar starter deck that wasn't meant for you, or all of your prior investment in our premier format is now invalid." So unless my LGS just ignores the rule or allows proxies of it in April (which is pretty likely given how poorly the game does there already), I simply won't play Standard until the Crest is made widely available in products that are actually worth something.
The way I see it, the only reasons to buy these decks are for the energy crest, possible Elementario copy as it's not 100% that you'll get it, and to make use of any upgrades you might get from the boxes. It can enable you to make a nice beginner deck to play with if you want to teach people to play even. I did that with my Oselargest deck.
Even, thou i find the start deck decison really odd, but I assumed, that they seemingly want to support them still, as this thursday is going to reveal rr support for them Im only getting brandits cause i like the robot/nova aspect of it and keter for triggers (what i may do is that, i give my friend the spare enegry to save hassle for him)
Call me crazy, but I have a feeling Bushi will drop a more significant upgrade for these decks at some point (like how the bosses of D-SD01 - 05 + LTD01 got new forms in a booster. Though if they get new forms it wouldn't be until DZ-BT05 at the earliest). And if that happens I will be glad I got the booster set versions of the trial deck cards as well as the new booster set exclusive support cards. Well, that's IF that happens. Even if it doesn't they would still be pretty alright budget decks, and if anything could be used as fairly low power decks that could be used for tutorial games
Honestly, some of the QSD works well with just generic cards, I've been building Marlean for the past month (My first deck cuz I cant afford anything else) With only the staple RR Respino and some generic LM cards and I've been winning games against some good decks
So I actually started from theses and playing asturm it was fun playing with the actual fully built deck felt rewarding I was kinda dissappointed when I bought it and found out it was vanillas but I bought like 6 fated clash boxes to build asturm
Almost..having no effects but the 1 doesnt introduce people to more things you can do in the game, the price doesnt help it at all. 24 USD for 46 vanillas is crazy. I guess the triggers can be used in other decks but i'd just tell people to buy the og start decks
Would've been handled better by including elementariabin every deck. Some other over priced normal order would've also appreciated. But who knows bushi only wants money.
I know this comment will be lengthy but bare with me this is my 7 years+ of experience of this game. What I love: >I love this quick start up deck at the sametime as an experience player I hate it. > I can easily teach my friend how the battle and basic rule does before they all out on their skills and deck combo. > Cards are not some MC deck or anime adaptation deck, so this brings more originality to it. What I hate: >Energy Crest lock behind the QSD. Think of this TCG is popular everyone wanted to jump into it but your local veterans bought all the QSD just for the Energy card then the QSD are out of stock for some of the nation how you expect a beginner to play a deck that is not his first choice, thanks to the local vet buy it just for energy card. > Cost of the deck, I know bushi has a great idea to create a vanilla deck for beginners to enjoy the game to the fullest but I don't think someone who "just" wants to try the game will pay an amount of sum to buy a deck. > Not worth the money, I don't think this deck is worth as much as 700yen because I went to my local and asked for vanilla they gave me for free. >10 card Vs 1 energy card, in QSD have a card that can be represented 10 energy card. Who don't want those I wonder who is that genius figure this method is the best. Last word: Lastly I am glad to see a plain looking deck which feels like the anime scene on the card shop. But I prefer bushi release this deck for free on bushiroal official distributor shop or straight ship it from the nearby official distributor shop for free after a new player registered the bushi navi as an official card fighter.
They could have just done a Energy counter in a similar style as Buddyfight's life counter. Oh, and not made it mandatory to use the official items for Energy
Almost I love Astrum (Mecha Vanguard) I dislike that the cards has no skill. I mean, if I want something without skills, I would buy some Poker cards instead. Also only that VG will be purchased on these Starter deck ONLY. Common Bushi :/
Honestly its so weird... The qsd is so greedy and rubbish compared to litteraly every deck before I grew up with this game and damn this what i call absolute garbo

Dark state iz worth for the critical trigger for direful doll name and useful for the upcoming new rideline for direful doll master
Worst product they ever made tbh and they forcing players to buy it to get a energy market so we can’t use dice ,actual as*h*le move by bushiroad
