Milwaukee been killing it with their tools for the last few years. Looks like a great compressor.
*This does exactly what I was wanting **MyBest.Tools** Price was fantastic, lower than Harbor Freight-and it included hose and attachments, and IT IS MADE IN AMERICA, unlike Harbor Freight*
From OG paintball, to boat builds, now reviewing tools 👍. First time I’ve seen it running. Very quiet, the air hammer was louder than the compressor. Nice video Keep them coming
I used the 5 mah for brad nailing. worked great.
I like it. I wish Milwaukee would come out with a big snowblower and mower as well.
@@CrushedEMTB I hope that you're right. Just an fyi, I have the chainsaw and cut up a big log with it. The batteries kept overheating. I had 3 batteries so I just kept switching between batteries.
I would love to try one for swimming pool service. I wonder if it has enough snot to winterize pool plumbing
The 5.0 batteries are excellent for what you can get them for in kits. Lately, they've been damn near giving the things away.
It's because the 3.0 new-gen batteries are better than the old 5.0 batteries
Yes it’s worth it if you need it. I bought one and it’s awesome
Could you run a sprayer on it? I have a smaller electric compressor - but would love to have a battery format
@@JDAfrica Like a airbrush sprayer yes.
I don’t know if you could paint the car with it?
can you link the air hammer and chisel you're using?
I have a 110v 1.5 puma runs great for nail guns any air volume air request you need a fill tank. I use fuel tools i love them. If this unit is oilless you can connect a regulator to it and dive with it. I DO NOT KNOW THIS IS OILLESS! Thanks for the vid i will look into it as i am trans to cordless
@@CrushedEMTB then it would be great for hull cleaning and i dropped my wrench stuff. Again make sure dive safe. Also too get air volume on it just have a bigger tank to fill. Every day use you will burn this unit out. Good tool used correctly
How do you think it'll do for blowing out dust and dirt for car detailing?
It would do okay for short bursts. I use it for the same thing. It just won't go for that long.
Ah, so if you need to clean polishing pads for the car with a air gun it won't go without a refill
Louie Cruz did you end up purchasing and how do you like it for detailing if you did get it?
Would the power on this compressor/air hammer knock out a bolt on a lower control arm?
It just depends on how much force you need, but it definitely had enough force to kick it for at least 10 to 20 seconds before it started lessening in power
Hey Milwaukee,,we need battery operated ice makers, there’s a large consumer group out there, that’s Boatpeople, , van people and those off gridders
Nice review dude, thanks
8:12, enjoyed the video, the air chisel is a tell all, so now the question,, will it make for a hooka rig ?
Has anybody that owns the cordless air compressor filled a 5 gallon or 15 gallon tank with it?
I know this is not what it is meant for but I'm wondering how long it takes to fill it.
My real world application would be filling my bait cannon at the beach and this would save me from having to haul a compressor and generator. I already tried the m12 inflator and it overheats after 20mins and tops out at 65psi
The small inflators tend to overheat, I burned 3 generic brand ones until I spent a bit more and learned how to use them safely.
This one in the video has a much larger motor than the cheaper inflators I had, my guess is that it should last and be capable of filling that 5 gallon tank.
Anyone bought this 3 years ago? Is she still holding up? I've read some bad reviews on longevity.
What fittings did you use? I used 2 different fittings and both of then popped off the compressor
How do you feel the air hammer would do on ball joints and car work ?
yeah I wanna know. I got the hart version and I want to use an air hammer at the junkyard 🤔
i replaced almost every air tool with a 20v equivalent but there’s no 20v air hammer.
Just so folks know, The only reason EVER to buy a cordless compressor is because you don't have 110volt available. Every time you go from 1 type of power to another you lose approximately 25% efficiency. So in this case we are going from 110volt to charge your batteries to Dc then using the Dc battery to run a air compressor pump, so you can run tools tools with air power! See what I am getting at. Not to mention the cost vs getting a 110v compressor is so much cheaper vs this. These have a use case though! I would get one for airing up my car or truck or trailer tires on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere for example. If I had to do some kind of work where there is no power, would be its only other smart use case IMHO.
Hey, you seem to know a bit or two about this subject, would you be willing to answer a couple of questions? (Some will be related to refrigeration)
Yup nailed it. I got this because I am starting a small air tool collection but 99% of the reason is because recently I got stranded on the road side because of a dump run gone sour, destorying my tires while towing. I said NEVER AGAIN and bought this bad boy today.
You guys should just check out the m12 inflator. Much better, smaller, and cheaper if you’re just looking to fill some tires. I would get the 6ah battery, or just keep a spare as it does eat up the batteries. That being said I just picked up the compressor for an air sprayer! Good luck fellas
Also there are many other reasons to get a cordless compressor! For example, I have an m18 tool near me no matter where I’m at. It’s convenient to have everything on the same battery platform, I also got it on sale with a free 5ah battery. Cordless is nice because you’re already dealing with the hose, at least you get rid of the cord, and not to forget, you don’t have to go looking for outlets that will reach your compressor/hose where you need it to be. I feel like it could be considered more efficient because you’re spending less time dealing with the cord lol and bonus this compressor is super quiet!
When did we all become so dependent on watching someone open a cardboard box? The review is great without the unwrapping.
Have you tried using this to inflate your tires? I think a lot of these little air compressors are basically intended to be used for airguns and stuff like that. What do you think?
I have used it to inflate my tires. It's saved my arss a few times when I got flats in town and needed a compressor to get me home.
Will it work to use a hopper for texture?
I have no idea. It all depends on the amount of CFM. Your tool constantly needs. This one is pretty high.
have had it with crappy compressors. Yeah they sort of work. Not strong enough to inflate a larger tire or take forever. I sprung for one of these. Got all my two vehicle's tires up to inflated spec in about 15 minutes. If your only choice is to go to gas stations or rely on a tire shop to inflate your tires. Stop wasting your time and get one of these.
thats good helpful info, thanks
4:45, if you had wood carving chisel on that hammer, can that compressor and tank handle it? and I use a pancake for my hooka rig when diving around my boat, it be nice to have a battery operated hooka rig to bring on my dingy to go lobster diving, I don’t need another pin nailer
Depends how aggressively you use it. Really, it can only take short bursts before it has to fill. It can't refill that fast. It will do small tasks in volume, but not big ones.
Milwaukee makes the best battery tools no one makes them better
Can I use this with an air jack?
I have no idea, but it doesn’t really have a high capacity for very long
U should do a vs video with it and the Roy I 1 gallon 18v compressor
@@CrushedEMTB sorry for the miss Spell I mean the Ryobi 18 V 1 gallon air compressor
How reliable is this ?
It's worked for me so far, but I've only used it occasionally. I buck-riveted the entire bottom of my boat together - which helped.
How are these compressors if used with a air blow gun to clean pads .... ?
AIRHAMMER!!!!!!
this would be more useful if it also had a way to just plug it in. unless you were doing something that you just had no other option for then I would pass on this especially since the batteries are so expensive
I agree…the cost of the unit plus at least one high capacity battery is higher than the 1-2 gallon electrics from Makita, Harbor Freight…the pass-through electric should have been a no-brainer for the engineers.
more amp hrs don't give you more power gives you more run time. 18 volts is 18 volts. power output is the same regardless of amp hr rating
There is a substantial noticeable difference between a 5 and 6 amp hour battery in power
That’s not true power is measured in watts that is only voltage. Lower amp hour batteries can not output as much amperage as high amp hour batters thus higher amp hour batteries being more powerful
@@carsonmcnamer5321 It's literally advertised by Milwaukee that The 6ah and above battery gives the fuel line more power. You can literally feel it.
@@carsonmcnamer5321 it has to do with c rating that allows more amps to be drawn with large batteries
Should let you plug in
To bad one battery cost more than a corded aircompressor
Yeah I know. I already had the Milwaukee establishment so it wasn’t that bad. But most people generally have batteries before they buy something like this
I live on a boat, one day Milwaukee will wake up to us boat people, van people and those off gridders,, been in the trades since 1969, Milwaukee was popular in heavy construction back then and today, now it’s battery operated tools, they’ve come a long way ,living on a boat, my lighting system is LED, usually homeDepot yard lights or those sensor lights,my cabin light has been bastardized 3 times, I don’t throw my battery charger away when it don’t work, I cut it to fit a piece of teak and screw it to the wall to plug in my battery to run that cabin light, I get about 2 hours +. ,no complaints
I just got this compressor for$174 in Home Depot because no longer they will make them
Just unboxing it, looks like a garbage build from Milwaukee.
Flimsy plastic and bad welds that will crack and break over time.
Had two of them, changed to Dewalt for better build quality and longevity. Dewalt is a little noisy, but if you’re in the trade noise is part of being a man, not a pussy “oh it’s soooo. Noisy “ 😂
First, stop the crap music.
Then consider this : as soon as the teflon piston rings and sleeves are gone, your wet dream will be over . They don't
sell wear parts for the gimmick, see, only company stickers and such (visit their website parts list and check that out for yourself).
The bullshitter "tech" at Milwaukee told me "you won't need spare
parts" , as if he wasn't aware that oilfree pumps just wear down some parts, inevitably.
So no spare parts from Milwaukee, buddy. You won't enjoy the costly toy very long, I'm afraid.
@@CrushedEMTB
Not quite. I think they're all coming from the same chinese slave labor camps. And all designed to make a quick box : shiny nice, unreliable crap, with no parts available after 3-5 yrs (sometimes even
earlier, see above). Is there good stuff made in USA anymore ? WE ARE DOOMED.
Please stop the crap music!!
Yeah kinda hate that everyone has them on their videos. Good video here just music that drives me nuts. Then again there isn't much free music folks can use.
Useless compressor
It's definitely not for an everyday person who uses pneumatic tools. But for somebody who uses it sporadically, it's perfect and convenient and very portable!
Dewalt is so much better and cost way less, comes with flex volt battery and charger 🤔
"better" is relative. The DeWalt is obnoxiously loud compares to the Milwaukee uses a round tank and is enclosed in plastic versus the Milwaukee's all metal frame construction. I won't even go into dewalt's battery issues over the years.
Lmfao. You compared a Ford to a rolls Royce. Dewalt ain’t got shit on Milwaukee. So your research before you comment something stupid and get made looking even more stupid by guys who actually know tools.
@@joshuaware3304 Milwaukee is crap compared to Hilti, y'all are comparing 💩 to 💩
@@hectorgaytan2424 lol keep wasting money on expensive plasticky tools that can’t compete
*Construction seemed sturdier than other units I considered **MyBest.Tools** Noise level was reasonable. Good pressure and cfm capacity for a small reasonably light compressor.*
