Thanks for the upload, Scottie went crazy on this one! He was an All-Star and also All-Defensive 2nd at some point. Dealt with a lot of injuries throughout his career though (then couldn’t even make it for the 1987 season because of them). He was pretty important off the bench for the 1986 Celtics (one of the GOAT teams), even if he didn’t play much during the Playoffs (plenty due to injuries again). Also a champ with the Celtics in 1984. He had his best Playoff run with the C’s in 1985 though, played extremely well off the bench (this game being the best example of it)… but Maxwell injured and not contributing much, Bird dealing with hand issues and such, plus Kareem playing like a complete beast… made them unable to hang with the Lakers in this 1985 Finals.

He was a Colorado, and would have been more so in the NBA but he stayed hurt too much.

We missed Wedman BIGTIME in the 86-87 season, when literally everybody was injured. Wedman's absence in the playoffs was just as costly as Walton's, if not more.

In Larry's first book, Drive, he said Wedman was probably the best pure shooter on the team. And I would agree. Larry was a great shot maker, who can make improbable shots most players would not even think of attempting. But Wedman could probably make open mid-range to long-range jumpers better than any of them.

Saw him make at least 40 on The Jazz in ‘79 or ‘80 when he was with KC. The only reason he didn’t make more was a hard, dirty foul that bloodied him so bad he went out of the game.
