The fans running across the track while people are still racing on the track is the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen.
I thought it was pretty funny. AP was revving his bike trying to get around the track stormers. Embrace the un seriousness
And what would've happened had one of the fans, or God forbid, one of the riders been injured? This was an utter failure towards rider safety on everyone on the track. Say goodbye to sitting on the tri-oval, hopefully.
Whoever is in control of the camera during the race, yall did a piss poor job of covering Vialles win last night. He crossed the finish line, you showed him for 1.4 seconds and that's about it. C'mon man it was his 1st sx win, Deegs got his 1st last week and the camera stayed on him. Do better!

Was disgusting camera work. They filmed first place riding off the track and to the pits rather than who finished after him.
Why wasn’t Jett penalized for the 2 HRC guys on the gate at the start

'Only one mechanic per Rider will be allowed in the restricted areas including the signaling and starting area.' He had one mechanic. The other was another Honda rider's mechanic that was going to try to help them but didn't after the official stopped him, however, there is also 'Team members may only adjust, repair or refuel competing motorcycles in the designated mechanics area, pit or work area. Riders must pull into the designated mechanics area and be off the racetrack before receiving crew assistance,' so he didn't have an extra mechanic and he was off the track getting support from the team. There is also 'Riders, mechanics and/or crew members are strictly forbidden to do celebratory burnouts, wheelies or other potentially dangerous behavior within proximity of fans, public or bystanders,' so you might want to go hunting down all last Daytona winners too to find out why they weren't penalized for burnouts. Those are all regulations, not rules with listed penalties

'Only one mechanic per Rider will be allowed in the restricted areas including the signaling and starting area.' He only had one dedicated mechanic. The other that came to try to help (and didn't actually do anything before the official pulled him away) was another Honda rider's mechanic.

Team members can help if they're not on the track, just like we've seen a million times in the past. I remember Anderson standing next to his bike during his championship season while several husky guys rushed to fix his bike. His mechanic got it out on his own. The 2nd person there had no effect on the result. The whole thing was negative for Jett if anything, and he still won

back from the gate to behind the rear restraint before any repairs can be made, so as not to interfere with
other competitors.
3. Grooming may be done anywhere behind the front leading edge of the starting gate, provided no shovels,
tools, water or other implements (foreign or natural) are used with the following exception:
i. Metal starting grids may be cleaned with brushes utilizing nylon type bristles only. The use of steel type
bristles is forbidden.
4. Grooming in front of the front leading edge of the starting gate by anyone other than Race Officials is
prohibited. This includes watering of the starting lines. Stopping immediately in front of the starting gate to
do a burn-out prior to the sighting lap will be considered grooming in front of the starting gate.

Sorry Deegan dosnt quite have it YET and Jetts learning fast and like it or not he is just too quick he blew by the boys and actually pushed somewhat all the way to the end and had 11 seconds at times sure he wasnt perfect but in that mood no ones catching him....... The question is can he hold that business attitude for the rest of the year........

I’m really surprised that Ricky didn’t interview Eli’s clutch after the race.
Jett Lawrence pulled a 12 second lead and RC spent half the race talking about Tomac’s clutch which it turns out wasn’t even a factor.
Just let Weege and JT call the races from now on.
That wasn't a clutch. It wouldn't have lasted that long and it wasn't overheated from the breather. Must have been a gasket or o-ring leak from the engine. Ricky thought maybe a shock (seal head) which was a decent guess, but the shock never seemed to fade either.
Eli's pit-board said clutch (which is why Ricky end up saying clutch) but we have a better view on TV than a mechanic on the sideline who knows Eli is an abuser.
It smoked the most in the G-outs right before the jump faces. To me that meant the motor when under the greatest load was when it showed itself, so maybe a gasket?
They determined later it was a valve cover gasket
Anyone willing to take more risks, like jett as admitted here, has to earn your resect as a rider. People mix other peoples personalities with their profession. You can appreciate the music, acting, riding, or driving by talented people without discrediting them for things they've done.
It's arguably easier to be a boring, dry, vanilla ice cream like chase sexton.. eli never had much personality either, but they way he could turn up to 19 with extra speed was gangster.

As soon as Jett passed everyone and started running away I turned it off. Nobody is going to touch this kid and I see him winning the rest of the races from here on out.
This makes 0 sense. This guy is great at a sport you apparently like so when he does good you cant watch him? How many times did McGrath clean house and look like he was racing by himself because he basically was alot of the time early on? RC is a horrible announcer and outclassed by Bubba someone that can actually speak
Jett and his team broke the rules trying to gain a clear advantage.
They shouldn't be acting like there a F1 team if they can't handle tire warmers. Its a clear rule infraction and they caused it by trying to gain an advantage. Nobody made them put tire warmers on.

I like how Mary Poppins and everybody else thinks it's funny they broke the rules with 2 mechanics touching the bike , working on a bike on the line and mechanics not getting behind the safety line. SX is a joke this year they have wussified all of the SX tracks this year they are all pretty much the same they took all the dragon backs out, changed the whoops to nine so all of the crappy riders can 333 through them this is stupid, Ive been watching MX and SX for a long time and this is by far the most boring year ever, nice job Feld for ruining such an awesome sport for ratings well done

The 18 must take the bike back to the pits to work on the bike IN ANY FORM, AND CANNOT HAVE MORE THAN 1 MEMBER WITB THE RIDER ,THE RIDER IS IN CHARGE OF ALL OF THE TEAM, THEY MESSED UP, AND IT NEEDS TO BE FIXED. BY THE AMA
Nope, the tyre change would be considered repairs... Repairs can be carried out behind the "rear restraint" (concrete nib wall 8 feet behind the gate), which they were.
A penalty of 1 lap is *only* in the schedule for "jumping the gate", which Jett did not.
It's a warning, maybe, for the 2nd guy for "failure to comply with directions of race officials", although he did comply once the official gave him a direction.
At worst it's a fine for an "at track" infraction.
