Convenience sampling technique is not generally recommended for studying diabetics in adolescence or any other population for that matter. This is because convenience sampling relies on choosing subjects based on their availability and willingness to participate in the study, rather than using a random or representative sampling technique.
In the case of studying diabetics in adolescence, convenience sampling may result in a biased sample that does not accurately represent the entire population of interest. For example, if the researcher only recruits participants from a specific clinic or hospital, then the sample may not be representative of diabetics in adolescence who do not visit that clinic or hospital.
Instead, a random sampling technique such as stratified random sampling or cluster sampling may be more appropriate for studying diabetics in adolescence. These techniques allow for the selection of participants from different subgroups or locations within the population, which can help ensure a more representative sample.
Overall, it is important to carefully consider the sampling technique used in a study to ensure that the sample is representative of the population of interest and that the study results can be generalized to that population.
