my dad r.i.p. worked in the mines from 17yrs old. he broke his back in the mine pulling on a cable and falling on a trac and destroying two vertebrae and had ones above and below fused together. Well six wks later he made the dr clear him to back to work and he along w many other miners were some tough sobs!!! my dad died bout 8yrs ago trying for his black lung...my prayers go out to the men and women that risk their lives 40+hrs a week!
that is some hard core sh*t. I'v heard some of the same stories here in England before Maggys ass shut down all the proper industry this country had, mining steel works its all gone to China now! peace...
A miner is a miner no matter where in the world...only time they make the news is when theyre trapped and believed to b alive!(u.s. anyw a y)when i see one saved tho i tear up still n thank God theyve cheated death.). So u drill riggers i was once n think "drill boys drill!"
Jonathan Andrews your right a coal miner is a miner no matter what .we are a brotherhood.

Nick Edwards it is sad my husband is from West Virginia and I have seen the mines and he worked in them only at 15 and he said he couldn't see his hand in front of his face but West Virginia folks needs theses jobs so I hope they get more of the mines in working condition

I worked in the mines and now I aint allowed but I will say that all you miners are doing a hell of a job me and my kids and family appreciate the risk you take it just sucks that I cant do it anymore with you guys if I could I would be there every hole possible
Thank you for the song, I have done lots of wrong in my life. I was taught right from wrong and had good parents. I done time and needed to really think about things. I have kids and done my best to teach them right from wrong. I am still struggling with my addiction to drugs. I pray every morning and night that I will conquer this battle with my inner demons. This song is exactly how I want to be and hopefully it is not when I am looking down on my family from the clouds. Keep writing these positive songs for all people, all PEOPLE. America is the best country and I am proud to be a mexican american who loves all kinds of music.
Thank you so for the tribute to the coal miners... My grandfather father was coal MI ers an my Aunt was the first woman to work in the coal mines... I miss my hometown Tazewell Virginia. ..Ty
Thank you so much for this song. I love it. My brother just text me this morning on my way to work and said it made him think of me. I have never heard this song before two days ago and I have listened to it probably 30 times since then. I was and will always be a daddy's girl. My father died Aug 6, 1995 in Brookwood Alabama, Jim Walter Resources #4 coal mine. It's been 20 years, I'll never forget. I respect the job and all that they do. Thank you for taking time to do a song that is so touching. When you have lost a loved one to those damn mines, you just get it. Thanks again.

I cried ;'( love the song my daddy is a coal miner along with my uncles and my deceased grandpa rip
I love this. I'm glad he will NEVER forget WV. One awesome song.
My grandfather worked 48 years underground. My father worked 42 Years underground. I watched them both die from Black Lung disease. I worked 22 Years before a rock fall took me out of the mines. Everyday you go underground you face the reality that you might not make it back outside alive. You just put it in the back of your mind and carry on.
West by God ❤❤❤❤ i was told back in 2015 my grandfather worked in in those same coal mines. I barely knew him.
Lincoln county wv. I have a cousin in the mines and like a brother to me. love this song
My uncle was a Bevin Boy (conscripted miner) during ww2, he came from a non mining area, he never mentioned it as the Bevin Boys were not recognised for a lot of years. No matter how the years pass and technology improves it is always a dangerous job done by brave men
I'm an old man never really was into rap but these guys are good I listen to the Break down song often and I think that song is all about me

#WVCOALMINERSDAUGHTER
Love this song. My father was a WV coal miner for over 25 years.
I live up here in northern West Virginia and if their is a day that goes by that you dont turn on a light, or drive by a mine and dont think about the miners risking their lives so you can benefit yours then that is not a normal day.
I'm from West Virginia and this song makes me miss my dear dad I lost him when I was 17 but I'm 27 now and this song helps me remember that he is never really gone Thank you Mini Thin for this song and West Virginia rep'n born and raised and never leaving home here ever

I don't know any coal miners but I know it's a very dangerous job all the respect in the world. It made me cry.
God bless all of you. Especially in reality we all could have free energy a long time ago.
Thank you so much! My Dad was "black listed" in the 80s in the U.k. It wasn't great, but maybe, retrospectively brilliant! Xxx
My grandfather Ivan abrams told me stories about working in them coal mines from KY to Wv. He was proud of it.
thank you fer this song is means more then most knows we here are a family of miners.
think maybe you could figure away fer a song like this fer the military, I was I am I will always be a Soldier.
Love this song. Keep spreading the knowledge, not only coal mining but raising family like you rap in you're songs. Awesome bro. Coal miners for the most are hard working family members that's why we crawl into the bowls of the earth to mine that black gold and raise our kids best as we can 😉
I'm from southern Illinois and a truck driver. Couple years ago I had a delivery to a West Virginia coal mine. I'm 6'3 and 300 lbs. Not used to looking up when I talk to people, but when I visited that mine my thought was "Damn, no wonder we won the Revolution!" I swear I was the smallest guy there. Love to WV!!
Iam west Virginia proud were i came from i have friends in the coal mines so I have much love and respect for the coal miners hell yeah
First song i ever listened to that really brought my attention to miners and the hardship and risks that comes with their labour is “Wrong Side” by Chris Cornell. It’s just a few meanings in the very first verse but it always stuck with me, and listening to this my respect is just growing for the people who risk their lives everyday going down there to keep the food on the table for their families.
This guy just heard him about a week ago. He definitely knows how it is in WV. His music and the way he expressed our lifestyle in WV is dead on, I'm grateful to have one of our own doing it in a big way.
