- So what do i carry on a realistic day today basis please bear in mind i have survival systems in my car and at home and in other places and will always carry gear suited to environment and situation but what if im going shopping or into town what then do i carry a ton of gear i would not need or just a few items to see me through short term till i can get to a kit or home this is just my thoughts on how id get by day to day

i used too laugh at people with man bags (im in my mid 40's) then last year my misses bought me a single pocket over the shoulder one as i was always running out of pocket space when going out and i didn't realize but i used it a hell of a lot it was handy for my phone and wallet and tobacco but i had a big issue with it, it would go around my back over time as i walked out of sight so i stopped using it, but we visited Ingoldmells market whilst on holiday a couple of weeks ago and i bought basically the same bag you have (slightly different design) for £12 and its awesome it stays in front of me at all times like yours and i put all sorts in it extra then before ie a small bottle of hand sanitizer however i never thought of putting a swiss army knife or bandage or plasters in it and straight after typing this i am going to add some but im also going to add a couple of £ notes in a water proof bag in the bottom of it too as back up, as for the dummy wallet idea you mention i am taking that on board and going to set one up with all my club card kind of cards and a bit of cash and a bank card that can only be used inside the bank to make it seem legit i never even thought of that its a awesome little hack.
i carry so much stuff be it meds glasses hearing aid batteries torch ect its just easier for me from a security point of veiw dummy wallets work most muggings are fast and they will take your bag so if in a high risk area move the phone and wallet to other pockets my phone has a tracker and these days if mugged they will hang around and search you for your phone so let it go it can be replaced

I appreciate these videos, but when you tell the whole world what you do and how you do it is not great planning...
Dont get me wrong i love edc and prepping but somtimes if you tell the enemy your plans then they know what your plans are and can counter that plan with their counter plans etc.
dont worry about me mate i have plans you will never see and will be busy doing what i was trained to do im i just hope by sharing i can give some one else a chance

yep a s,a,k, is a really good tool to carry and theres many choices to suit most peoples needs
I got 3 of those belts ,use them all the time, and got mine from eBay for a few quid each

with water filter etc i use a sawyer filter do you trust or use them
i have used sawyer systems for years in many places and yes i trust them great light and efficient kit i have not tried the grayl as its out of my price range but i know others who have and would also recommend them stay clear of copys and cheaper brands as they are often crap

Hi Micky sorry I missed the live again tonight I to went down the man bag rout until I had a casual chat with a checkout lady at my local supermarket and upon getting out my phone for the points and my wallet to pay she said a bit of advice for you Ian [ they all know me down there ] don't put anything that you don't want to loose in a bag like that because a cheep seat belt cutter or a sharp knife a quick nudge and you loose every thing before you get a chance to react your thoughts ??
yep i agree but that also goes for any carry system the only defence against thieves is being aware thats why i also suggested front pocket by my nuts in a high risk area the bag is more about all those small and pain in the arse things we like to have with us like meds spare specs penknife ect real wallet and phone would be moved if i thought i was at risk so the bag would go leaving wallet and phone with me i should have explained a bit better but as you could tell on the video i was knackerd and feeling off color thanks for the comment mate and i hope your feeling a bit better brother
@hampshireoutdoorsandsurviv9340 your right brother, but if it's on your front, may it be a good idea to run a chain or cord to a pocket as well extra security or put a tracker in it if you're in town, may still get one to test out though 😉
Btw, never put all your eggs in one basket as the saying goes .My wallet and phone are always separate cos if I lose one, the other is a backup
