    Good morning Professor Alonso. Before I start, I would like to thank you again for the knowledge you are sharing. I have another question on this video. The controller has the current limit feature implemented inside. Do we need and external over current protection? I am under the impression that the current limit control of a dc-dc converter helps with current limit and over current protection.

      Hello, thanks for your comment. As I say in the video for some reason the shutdown pin of the UC1846 spice model does not work as expected. This is why we implemented the short circuit protection externally. In a real life application I think the internal circuitry of the UC1846 should be OK to do the same function

    Dear Professor. The Power Converter is receiving a lot of technology of size reduction , but, what about the size reduction of input rectifier & filter? What the options of bulk capacitor reduction? The PFC & Voltage doubler, on Universal SMPS are the best aproach? Could you coment (by video explanation). Regards.
