No, don't buy the v370. It's garbage. It seemed to work at the beginning but now it gives all sorts of scan lines that Epson says is hardware-related, sorry, go away.
Hey Peter, I have not experience that problem yet but thanks for letting me now! I also chare your oppinion on the V370. Jt just has a bad build qulity and feels cheap. The V600 is a way better value composition so if anyone wants to pruchase a scanner now, it should be the V600. Its the best model for most people and has room for expansion (medium fromat). Hey hem, if you compare the resolution of these scanners you can exeed 2400 dpi but after that i can´t tell the differnts on my monitor( some 500$ samsung caibrated by eye) and the file size is horendes on both scanners. And the differnts of the quality between them is, in my opinion not noticable !Stick with 2400dpi! Say safe Greatings Robin :)

@@hem7483 and you also have to considder the film you are using with kodak gold (the chepest film in a drug store) you could even use less then 2400 dpi. But if you use portra 400 for exsample you should stick with 2400

Hey I actually don´t really know but the v370 can soften the image up a little to minimise the visebility of those dust particles with intern decresing the sharpness of the image quite drasticly hope that helped

Donyou know if silverfast 8 on the v370 has that inbuild feature to remove the dust?
